Best USB C dock I've ever used

Has all the ports and functionality I want and has never had any issues in the few months I've owned it. Gives my laptop about a half inch to inch clearance for better fan airflow as well. Only complaint would be that I wish the cable was a few inches longer.

While researching this product it stated in the description that it is compatible with the newest models of MacBook Pro. I purchased one, brought it home and attempted to download the necessary driver. At this point it was revealed that the driver is not compatible with a MacBook Pro with Apple’s new M1 chip. So I basically have a larger than necessary USB port and Ethernet jack surrounded by a couple of useless HDMI ports. This compatibility issue should be clearly explained in the product description.

Posted .Hi Voodude, unfortunately, the drivers for the JCD543 will not be compatible with M1 computers so the HDMI,VGA and Mic will not will. The other ports including the HDMI or DP are PnP., no drivers needed and will be compatible. If you have any questions, our contact information can be located on the packaging or our website. OK but could be better

Sometimes, it will lose connection to one of my monitors in the middle of my workday and I have to unplug EVERYTHING and reconnect in order for it to connect again. The cord to plug in to the monitor is VERY VERY short.

Both laptop has a USB - C connection and easy to swap. The laptop wasn't charging so i bought the separate USB c power adapter and now able to charge also.

Bought it mainly so I can use the USB C to have 2 displays and it works perfectly. It also raises the laptop off the desk and helps keep it cooler, which was a nice surprise.

With all the possible connections you can make with this you would think it would be strong enough to power an external hard drive. Customer service said it wasn’t meant for that.

Posted .Hi Joel, thank you for your feedback on our Dock Station and we're sorry to hear the HDD didn't work on our device. The reason mechanical HDDs consume more power is that it still needs to spin the discs/platters even when it is not actively reading or writing data. Perfect expansion for todays laptops

We picked up this one, and right out of the box, it was easy to hook up and easy to get up and running quickly. Would buy this again!

Well worth it

Computers, all of them are getting away from Ethernet ports and going wireless. I prefer hardwired , it’s much more secure. So, I’ll continue to purchase as needed
