Great Dock, just wish you didn't need drivers

For all the features that the JCD543 has, the drivers are a necessary evil. There are some features that do not require the drivers, but to get the full capabilities of the dock the drivers need to be installed. Thank you for your feedback.

When you want to travel, you just unplug the one cord and go. However on our unit, the usb keyboard (Apple brand) would stop working while the unit was asleep. We could not wake the computer up via the keyboard occasionally. And after the computer was awake, the keyboard still didn’t work. We would have to unplug the keyboard for a few seconds and then it was fine again. We returned the unit. The build quality was. I’ve, but it didn’t work out for us.

You have to have this, literally.

I could just get the full functionality for using 2 monitors after spending quite some time with their tech support. The 3rd display is only possible if connected via VGA, not HDMI and this is not clear in the box/advertisement. In the question if I would recommend it to a friend, I clicked on "No" as most of my friends would not know how to set it up even with the help of their techs.

I love it. One connection (type-c) to the laptop and everything's connected. No extra power cords needed too!!

If that were the only thing I desired, it would be a 5-star rating. That said, after a few weeks, I began noting issues. Monitor-1 would flicker, going blank and returning. The problem escalated to the screen glitching and becoming off-set. I switched monitors, and the problem transferred to Monitor 2 point to a defective docking station. Despite receiving a replacement device, things did not fair well either. The new one failed even more impressively, with the same issue occurring within a week. I was very disappointed as this docking station should work seamlessly, especially at this price point. I replaced it with another one that cost $30 and has had no issues since. In this case, I believe more is less. I would NOT recommend this device.
