Cool device but too big

It's really only good if you don't use it much because it'll sit under or behind your laptop where you can't reach it easily. Smaller hubs look better and take up less space and can sit to the side just fine. The metal lid is also a bit rattly and doesn't feel solid. It's not an issue when you're using it, but when you pick it up it feel's cheap because it's loose. The rest of the device is very solid.

Terrible quality, terrible reliability, overheats,

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This device is shaped like a wedge with a rubbery top, so it's natural to lie your laptop on it, however it overheats, which makes my already temperature-sensitive tiny laptop not an option to lie on top of this. Also, this station thingy requires drivers to work, which I was lucky my company had whitelisted before, otherwise it would be useless. After a couple of months of use, Display Port started to flicker, as if cable was disconnected and connected again, screen going blank for a few seconds at a time, more and more often. I tried replacing display port cable, swapped from my desktop pc cable, and that didn't resolve the issue, nor restarting, not even using hdmi cable instead. Replaced entirely for much cheaper dongle bought somewhere else, that doesn't require drivers, and works flawlessly. Extremely overpriced. Terribly disappointed.

I've downloaded the suggested drivers and my computer always gives me the "unknown USB device" error. I'll be contacting j5create for a solution. On the bright side, all the ports work great! I can now run both my monitors in HD mode. No issues with anything else at this time.

hdmi port is less than sufficient
