It also feels light and light would be good if it also felt like it was sturdy or would survive falling off the desk; but this does not feel like it would survive if you dropped it from your hand to the desk about 3 inches; yet alone a 3 or 4 ft drop. I recommend getting a different brand.

I really appreciate you taking your time to review the docking station. While there are smaller docking stations available, this one has a lot of features and can support up to 3 additional monitors. The dock is also designed to have a laptop placed on top of it to save space in your work area.
I want to allay your fears about the sturdiness of the docking station. We do conduct drop testing on our devices. I personally took one of these docks in our office and put it to the test in response to your review. I would not recommend doing this with your personal device, this was done as a test only. I dropped the dock several times from between 3 and 6 feet off the ground in our office. The dock was thrown across a conference table and kicked across the floor. When the dock was plugged back in and tested… it worked with no issues.
We also back all of our products with a 2 year limited warranty (more information can be found our website). I hope that I have addressed your concerns about the quality and durability of the docking station.

Posted .Check if the USB-C port on your computer supports Power Delivery. If your USB-C port does not support PD, the dock cannot charge your laptop. Ensure the power adapter connected to the dock is powerful enough to support both the dock and your laptop. A 100W adapter is recommended for optimal performance.

Worked great after I did firmware update.
