The laptop I have only has two ports so .. so .. I needed something .. something .. I am not allowed to use wireless at work (security) and have to connect via Cat6. This does this I need multi monitors ? this helps , Need 5 monitors .. I'm out of luck . .Haha.. Great device worth the $ I spent to keep my hair .....

It's got everything you need if you need it

Happy to hear that it was easy to setup the docking station and that it is working great for you. To get the full functionality out of this device it does require drivers to be installed and to plug the USB C in to a port on your computer that supports display port alternate mode. Posted .The JCD543 uses MCT/USB graphics drivers for extended display output beyond 1 external monitor. macOS natively supports only 1 external display over USB-C unless you install MCT drivers. You would also need to grant permissions under System Settings. If these steps weren't completed, the Dock will not function correctly.
