Great Docking Station

Using it with my surface which has only 1 USB port and a USB-C port. It’s functions great for desk work and has a network cat 5 port as well as 3 USB ports and SD + micro SD. Not something you want to walk around with but portable enough to toss in a computer bag and take on the road.

It never has and now, after 5 mo, it has completely failed. I will be giving this to my wife to use on the WiFi with her local devices and I'll be spending the money for the real deal.

It took a while to get everything set up, driver download errors, and approving access. It took multiple calls to customer service, which was honestly great. They were very helpful with the set up. The dock was great when it was working! Loved the mega desk vibes. However, within 2 hours of using the dock with my 2 external monitors, Insignia 19' TVs that are plugged into a wall, the dock was very warm and ended up completely draining my computer's battery. I called customer service, they said it was likely a computer problem and directed me to call Apple. I contacted apple support, my charger and computer were thankfully fine. I called customer service again and they said it shouldn't be functioning like that with just two external monitors. If it happens again, I should swap it. Well, not running that risk on this expensive brand new MacBook Pro. My husband is headed to Best Buy now to swap it out. Will update if/when anything changes.

Didn't work for me

Attempted to contact the company for assistance but never heard back from them. Have a Dell 9575 and it would not work in any of the USB-C slots I plugged it in. The laptop would not recognize the device even after ensuring the drivers were installed. Returnes to Best buy the next day without any issues.

Posted .In the case where the JCD543 is not being recognized by your computer, it could be a matter of updates on the computer itself, defective host cable, defective USB port and for all the mentioned a technical support specialist is standing by ready to help. I regret to hear customer service did not return your call. Not as great for the price

While it is nice to have the adapter to the extra monitors and USB-C. I've had issues keeping a good connection and the USB-C wire at the right length. For the price, I'm not sure it really lives up to the expectations.

Good for personal, bad for work

The laptop I have only has two ports so .. so .. I needed something .. something .. I am not allowed to use wireless at work (security) and have to connect via Cat6. This does this I need multi monitors ? this helps , Need 5 monitors .. I'm out of luck . .Haha.. Great device worth the $ I spent to keep my hair .....
