I’m by no means a tech savvy kind of person at all, so when I purchased my laptop I had no idea how I was going to plug anything into it because it was all usb-c. So after googling I found i needed a dock and chose this one. This works like a charm and has enough ports for everything. I am about to purchase my second one for my new Chromebook.

Love the form factor and functionality of this dock station. It is not another brick standing on my desk. Instead, it subtly sits under my macbook and provides so many ports. Instructions were clear about downloading supporting software for multiple displays. Worked well out of the box with that simple instructions.

Perfect small profile hub for my laptop, and it doubles as a kickstand to leave room for the laptop cooling fans. Great build quality as well.

Great docking station. I switch between computers with ease... work laptop one minute, personal laptop the next. I use my laptop screen and keyboard, then using this docking station I have a mouse and additional monitor. I just added a printer via usb as well. Still room for up to two more monitors, two more usb devices. I also plan to hook up speakers (there's an aux port) and to try connecting to my Mac Mini... but overall it does exactly what I need. You will need a power supply though!! I was able to use the usb-c cable and power pack that came with my Samsung Laptop...

Thank you for your feedback, Anthony. You can use your own USB-C power-brick 65W or higher that came with your computer or the JUP2290 that is meant for the JCD543 device. Either will work fine. Have a great day and enjoy. j5create

For Asus ROG G512 Strix i7 RTX 2070, It worked perfectly fine with my Asus. Only issues if you don’t change your sleep settings then wake your laptop only one screen works and the other was pitch black. Then you have to disconnect type c and reconnect it again. I contact the J5create support to help with the issues. They response in a timely manner. I had to go directly to the device manager to change my usb drivers settings to uncheck the box for power management. Also I only use the Ethernet port, usb for my mouse/keyboard, hdmi for display, which works perfectly fine. I have not use the sd/microsd & mic/microphone yet.

Works well most of the time. Frequent disconnects with my Apple Macbook Pro (M1). Not sure if it is the dock or the M1 chip causing the disconnects. Otherwise, it does its job by adding much needed USB and HDMI ports.

All 13 ports are combined into one slim docking station, so you’ll have all the connections you need to stay productive! With an M1 chip, it will only display an additional screen. That is the limitation with m1 hardware. Sincerely, j5 j5create

Was looking for a device to run multiple monitors. Haven't had a chance to hook up the second one yet, which is still in the box. But I like the profile of this device as it sits easily under my laptop, not taking up extra desk space and seems to work well with the first monitor. I traded up from n Apple style connector that would only connect to one extended monitor. I also like it has a tray for the cord in case I want to take it with me. I'll come back later to update if find any issues using monitor 2 if this site will allow edits.

Excellent docking station. Works better than anyother j5create devices. Allows my HP laptop to work with 2 of my Dell 32" monitors. Saves monitor resolution without overtaxing the laptop. Plenty of ports for other devices. Does not overheat like others.

I use this with my mid-tier HP Victus laptop. I think my laptop’s USB-C supports about 5gps. I’m able to run a number of peripherals like mouse and keyboard, but also a monitor. At 5gbps, all these things run buttery smooth. I did try running *two* monitors through the dock, while playing high end games, AND running the game’s data from an external SSD through the dock, but it was too much to ask and it lagged a lot. The point is this, love this thing. It can handle a lot but if you do what I just described, your computer will need a faster data speed than 5gbps

This docking station works with dual 4K HDMI monitors, an SSD, and several USB drives attached. I played video on both just to see if there would be any problems and there were none. However only one of the screens will run at 60 Hz. I have not tried the card reader, VGA or ethernet ports. It's nice to be able to run the cable out of either side but wish it were a little longer since I don't want to use it under my laptop. One quirk is that I have to connect it to a running computer before plugging in external power or the pass through charging never kicks in. It's a little flimsy but I don't think this is big deal since it stays on a desk.

This docking station comes with 2 HDMI and 1 display port. Its a great space saver i.e. I have it sitting on the base of my external screen. It worked great right out of the box. Connected 2 external monitors, portable scanner. Has both USB and USB-C ports. I bought this on the personal recommendation of a Best Buy representative who also uses this over an HP product.

The JCD543 will let you connect three monitors into a slim profile device that barely takes up any space in your work area. Also it supports a large number of other ports.

This is the ONLY docking station that has worked with my MacBook Air. Nothing else has worked but this docking station. I tried upgrading to a higher-end one and it was not compatible (despite the website stating that it was). My ONLY complaint is the cord to connect is too short. The connecting cord for the docking station to the computer itself needs to be double the size that it is. I ended up having to buy an expansion cord for the length that I needed.

I gave this item 4 stars because the HDMI jack does not pass the sound with the video signal to my speaker-equipped primary monitor. I now have the primary monitor's HDMI cable plugged into the laptop's HDMI jack for the sound to work. To be fair, I will soon buy and test a dedicated audio cable to send the sound to the monitor. I love being able to quickly unplug 1 (temporarily 2) cables and take my laptop with me. Jay

Lots of options for numerous peripherals. Also props up the back edge of the computer to provide increased airflow under the computer. My only complaint is that the salesperson did not explain to me that there are two versions of this unit: one with a power adaptor, and one without. He sold me the one without the power adaptor, which leaves me wondering if I'll ever run into issues of insufficient power at some point in the future. If you don't have overwhelming power needs, I'd say this is a good unit to buy.

Hello, if your computer came with a USB-C power brick, you can connect the brick to the power-in port on the Dock. However, we also sell the JUP22090 to go with the JCD543 device. Thank you for your review. j5create
