Posted .Hi Andy, We apologize for the misinformation in regards to the JCD543 requiring a power source. The JCD543 is bus-powered and once connected to the computer, it is able to function as intended; the power adapter is for charging your computer, if it supports pass through charging via USB-C; if the computer does not support charging via USB-C, it will not charge. Although the adapter is not necessary, it is recommended for ultimately providing more power to the dock as a whole. Not worth it.

Only able to run 1 display off this, no matter the resolution, PC and Mac tested. Not worth it. Just buy the OWC or Belkin docks if your main requirement is multiple displays. Even the new Lenovo is leaps and bounds over this one.

Posted .Check if the USB-C port on your computer supports Power Delivery. If your USB-C port does not support PD, the dock cannot charge your laptop. Ensure the power adapter connected to the dock is powerful enough to support both the dock and your laptop. A 100W adapter is recommended for optimal performance.
2019 Macbook Pro Extended to Dual Monitor

I can extend my Macbook monitor to two displays with this dock. Just download the driver following the provided instructions. Super easy and does exactly what I need it to do for my WFH workstation.
