Good news, the JCD543 will allow pass through power to charge your laptop. There is a USB-C port on the dock that will charge your laptop if you plug in a USB-C power adapter. This was purchased for a M1 Airbook Mac and has allowed two monitors to work together, something that Apple says you can’t do. It has it’s own drivers for this to work but they seem to work well. The other ports do their job. If you need to dock a similar computer, or anything else with a USB C port, you should be good with this dock.

Posted .The JCD543P comes with a power adapter, unlike the JCD543. The JUP2290 is the power adapter for the JCD543 device. The Dock Station gets it's power when the host connection is connected to your computer. However, computers must support DP Alt Mode and PD over USB-C. Had been utilizing 2 adapters that each to up 2 ports previously and never worked perfectly/steadily as they hung/dangled. this was a much better solution. Highly recommend for anyone working with multiple devices/connectors, etc.

Great for home computers, not for work units

Pointless for my home workstation, had to return.

If you have the Intel, please download the 11 Display Driver on website and make sure to allow the drivers through. You may also reach out to us to help with installing the drivers to your computer.
