Good dock but has its caveats
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very easy to set up, only had to download the drivers to allow it to work with my laptop. Straight forward. I thought I had issues with it but it turns out that it was most likely incompatibilities with a Lenovo X1 Carbon as the next dock I received was Lenovo branded and I still had the same issue. I'm docking off a star due to there not being an inclusion of a power supply. There is a version of this dock that does include the power supply but you cannot find that in stores which is unfortunately. But what this means is, everything will have to be powered by your current power supply and in my case was not enough to power all my devices enough.

Posted .Hello,
We appreciate you taking your time to post your review. We are happy to hear that the docking station was easy to setup. The dock itself does not require a power adapter. The power port on the dock is only for pass through power to charge your laptop.
Have a good day,

Works as expected... sorta
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the average user: The product works as expected. It takes your laptop display and allows up to 3 connections. Item to note before purchasing: to get up to 3 monitors, ensure you have either an HDMI OR DisplayPort, an HDMI, and a VGA monitor. Due to the limitations of USB-C, you can only have up to 2 digital signals. All-in-all, a great addition to a mobile home office where you want one device to take with you and to sit down with. I would enjoy it if it weren't for a few things... FOR MOBILE GAMERS: Beware this adapter does not use your laptop's GPU. The monitors are also capped at 30Hz so there is noticeable tearing. A few annoyances: May just be my unit and my setup, but the colors and quality just isn't there. I can see noticeable blurring on regular text that would otherwise not be obstructed. One of the USB ports on the back of my model does not supply enough power for all three ports to be used. This may be because I am not using the USB-C In port due to the fact that my laptop does not support USB-C for charging. Conclusion: For me, this will, unfortunately, be going back. This has nothing to do with the product itself or the quality of the build. It it only because of the previous two items that I mentioned. For my application, this device is limited due to the technology not good enough. The price is a deal for what it is actually doing, which is a lot. It is easy to use as long as you follow the manual. My setup for reference: 2 Omen 27i Monitors both HDMI Razer Blade 15 late 2019

Almost perfect
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really wanted to give this a 5 star rating. It has EVERYTHING I want and need out of a docking station and more. A variety of ports, lightweight, sleek and to support 3 screens! So where’s that missing star? Well, for some reason, it tends to intermittently freeze. By that I mean, the mouse cursor and everything just locks up on one of the screens. At first I thought it was my laptop, but then I tried it on my wife’s laptop and behold, the same glitch. Other than that, this thing is highly versatile. You can even modify which side the USB-c connection comes out of which is handy for my Dell laptop (USB-C connects on the left) and my wife’s HP laptop (connects on the right).

Posted .RonnieRudeBoy, I appreciate you reviewing the JCD543. In regards to the lock you are experiencing, this could be due to radio frequency interference, also known as Leaky Waves. In this case, we suggest using a wired/Bluetooth mouse. If the issue remains, please reach out to our support team and a rep will be more than happy to lend a helping hand, we will narrow down the issue and offer solutions.
Respectfully,

Performs as expected
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pretty much works as expected. Plenty of ports and power pass through up to 100 watts. The flip up lid is nice to conceal the cord a little more. Couple of weeks and it's powering my dual 4K monitors, bluetooth adapter for keyboard and mouse, and external hard drive just fine, all from the power supplied from the usb-c port of my laptop.

Great Docking Station
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its amazing how technology has evolved over time. My first docking station was bulky. I was impressed with this docking station. Its light and doesnt occupy a lot of space on my work desk. It has enough ports where i can mount more than two monitors. I highly recommend it

Great docking station
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A great product but they did not tell me it needed a power supply, so I had to make a trip back. And when I got there the power supplies were not displayed close to the docking stations. Never would have found it on my own. Merchandising opportunity. You can connect anything with this.

Working perfectly, No Issues
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I and using with a new: "HP - OmniBook X Flip 2-in-1 - Copilot+ PC - 16" 2K Touch-Screen Laptop - Intel Core Ultra 5 226V - 16GB Memory - 512GB SSD - Eclipse Gray" laptop. Working perfectly and connects with USB C... I am only using with 2 displays connected with HDMI. Don't forget to download and install the driver! USB mouse and keyboard. I use the laptop's power supply to the dock as it needs a little power also... then the laptop says "slow charger" when I connect it. GOOD! Fast charging kills batteries that's the last thing I want so this was an unexpected bonus. And it charges plenty fast this way. I am very satisfied and recommend.

Workable, good design, a few quirks
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The docking station is easy to setup and is designed so the PC can sit on top of it. At first it had an issue with causing 1 HDMI display to freeze, but that has not happened for a while. It can have issues with sizing windows when (1) moving from a smaller display (like a laptop) to a larger display or (2) when opening new apps like Word. This is not a show stopper -- it requires resizing windows. I use a Lenovo docking station with a Lenovo laptop (supplied by my employer) and it has none of these issues. Lenovos are more expnsive (~$180 and up). For $100 the j5created docking station is a reasonable value.

Good little docking station
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a Dynabook laptop and had trouble finding an affordable docking station. This one works great, except I cannot get my internet to come through it. It might be on my end, I just haven't been able to troubleshoot correctly. The USB C connection is solid. The one I bought before this I had to return because the cable wasn't seated in the USB slot very well and would cause my docking station to come loose. This one doesn't have that issue. I love all the ports this one has for USB, HDMI, etc.

Great product, Supports only 1 monitor on M1 Mac
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It seems like a well-made product but did provide more the 1 monitor when connected to my Macbook Pro M1 Laptop. Not because this product is at fault but because the M1 processor does not support more than one monitor over the USB-C Thunderbolt 3 protocol. You need to use a non-Thunderbolt product with the M1 Macbook pro to go to 3+ monitors with the M1 processor-based Macbook Pro series. j5create driver needs to be installed.

Works perfectly
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a docking station that could connect my hp laptop to three external monitors. At the time, the hp-brand dock that could handle that was on backorder. I found this little guy and I’m glad I did! It works perfectly for my needs, was less expensive than the hp-brand dock, and was in stock at my local Best Buy. Now I buy this same dock anytime anyone at my office needs a laptop dock.

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This unit was perfect for my new laptop, as a hardware accessible utility expansion for my office. Be sure to download the drivers off the website to enable complete functioning. Otherwise, its pretty basic as a bridge. Only 4 stars, because I haven't been able to use all the functions/features now available.

j5create docking station
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I only have one display connected to this j5create docking station and so far so good. I got it to connect all the other things beside the monitor. The mouse, keyboard, and a few USB sticks. Its also nice to have only one cable going to the laptop. I had to purchase the insignia 90W USB-C power supply to connect to the j5create docking station and then I could plug in the HDMI cable for the monitor. I wouldn't recommend this model to everyone since it requires a USB-C power cable, but its ok if you don't mind purchasing the USB-C power cable separately.

Great value for the money
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice product. Just plugged it in and everything worked right out of the box. I like that it fits right under the rear of my tablet. Lots of ports. I'm docking two dissimilar monitors plus the tablet, USB KB, bluetooth mouse, and external drive all with no problems
