Will work for two minutes and then one monitor freezes. Should’ve put money down in a better quality product. Purposely bought this one because it made all the requirements for my 227 inch monitors. Ugh.

Posted .The USB-C Triple Display Docking Station requires that a computer supports DP Alt Mode and PD features for video out and pass-through charge. The Dock will also need an installation of a driver for proper functionality. Depending on the OS you have, different instructions apply. It was nothing but problems and work about 50% of the time. It finally went totally out. I purchased this unit and it has worked flawlessly. I wound highly recommend it to anyone needing to run multiple monitors or expand port options to your laptops.

When I plugged in an external hard drive along with my external computer screen and keyboard, there was not enough power coming from the USBC port on the computer to allow the small MyPassport external hard drive to work. You must get the version that actually plugs into your house electricity if you want to use the docking station as intended. Now I discovered I am two days past the return date, so I am screwed, thanks to the BestBuy salesman who talked me into this.

Posted .Hello, I'm sorry to hear the JCD543 is not working to your expectations. The docking station's USB ports are intended for peripherals such as mice, keyboards, flash drives, web cameras. In the case where the external hard drive is not working, it is possible the hard drives require more power than what can be provided via the docking station and therefore it will not work. In this case, you would need to connect the hard drive directly to your computer. I sincerely regret to hear about your experience. Are there ever enough connection points?

This beauty did the trick and the cable is long enough that I can have it behind or to the side of my laptop.

The only reason I am giving it 3 stars and not more is because I can’t review it since it didn’t work for my specific setup (user error in purchasing not the fault of the dock).
