Now i can extend screens to multiple monitors. The only drawback is that the piece i bought had the second hdmi port not working. My laptop failed to identufy monitor connected to the hdmi

Now, it won't connect or turn on. Have tried a few laptops. Have contacted J5 support to request a replacement. To say this has been a disappointing dock would be an understatement. The USB 3.0 cord to connect to a PC is very short. The quality of the connection is poor. The best and only good thing about this dock was ability to connect multiple displays.

Posted .Ensure that the docking station is receiving power. Check the power adapter and make sure it is functioning correctly. Try using a different power outlet or a different power adapter if available. Ensure that the USB ports on your laptop or PC are functioning properly. Try connecting the docking station to different USB ports to rule out issues with a specific port. Verify that you have the latest drivers, software, BIOS, etc. installed for your computer. Visit the official website of your manufacturer to download and install any available updates.

Great but with 1 major flaw

When connecting to HDMI, the screen flickers on and off, but also shortens (closes in) the width of the screen. I am going to try to get support to fix this, but may end of having to return this great little dock

Posted .If it's the HDMI under the word "OR", it's is a PnP. Computers must supports DisplayPort Alt Mode over USB-C. Please refer to the manufacturer of your hardware for more information on your device.

Thank you for reviewing the j5create triple display docking station. It does not require the power supply to function, but it can power your laptop if you do use a power supply. If your laptop has a USB-C power supply, you can use that with the docking station.

Not recommended for Mac with powerful monitor

Even then, it could not handle my G9 monitor when I plugged into it. My G9 monitor has a native resolution of 5120 x 1440, and with this it was stuck at max 3840 x 1080. Tried different cables, tried the "unhide" other resolutions trick, tried different ports, restart device, updates, etc. non of them worked. The metal, while seems ok, the construction of the whole thing seemed pretty cheap, flimsy, creaky. Did not feel like something worth more than $40.

Posted .Unfortunately, the Docking Station HDMI or DP does not support 5120 x 1440, only up to 3840 x 2160. However, the JCA141 will supports 5120 x 1440. Cordially, j5.

Everyone should own one of these. Not overly expensive either which was a shock. I did have to call support when I first got it because there was an update from apple that required some changes to make this work. Support was awesome and knowledgable.

Otherwise, it seemed to work fine connecting everything else through the USB ports.

Posted .We recommend using VGA to VGA, HDMI to HDMI, DP to DP cables. No conversion cables or adapter converters, we cannot guarantee functionality.
Great Docking Station

It was a lifesaver.

Works well with 2 screens, not 3

I wanted 3 screens and the only way to do that is to use vga. Took me a while to figure that out but im a little bummed out on the quality of my 3rd moniter. Other than that it does what it said it would do.

Needs driver to display on more than one display

If it is your personal laptop you can probably get it to work fine
