It is great to hear that the docking station is working well for you. To get three monitors to work with the docking station you will need to install the driver software on to your computer and you will need to plug the dock directly into a USB-C port on your computer that supports display port alternate mode (not all USB-C ports support this feature).

It turns out this one is not compatible with Big Sur. After checking, we learned this brand, j5 had software issues, no matter hat size. So, we returned this docking station. This one would have been fantastic if compatible with our laptop.

Our devices that require software drivers are currently not fully compatible with Mac OS Big Sur. Some of the ports on the JCD543 Triple Display Docking Station will still function using Big Sur.

Breaks quickly and easily

It was fine for the first couple of weeks, but then one day I get an error about not enough power to use any of my peripherals that were plugged in. Now I can't use the HDMI port at all to plug into a second display, and the other USB ports only work half the time. I'd return it but it broke right after the return period. I don't recommend it. Also, try to get a hub that doesn't require you to manually install drivers. I tried to use this computer for work and it was a pain getting approval to get admin access to download drivers for this device to work in the first place.

Worked fine initially... died 1yr later

Great to have everything connected all in one place and easily swap laptops out without having to reconnect a bunch of cables. Then started getting blackouts on the monitor once a week where it would disconnect for 1-2 seconds then reconnect. It grew to be daily, then multiple times a day. Thought it was the HDMI cable to swapped that out. Didn’t fix the problem. Then other devices started disconnecting.. mouse, webcam, keyboard, power... almost 1 year later to the date of purchase, the j5 is now sitting on the floor by the trash can and everything is plugged directly into the laptop. Trust the reviews that say it will start to break down over time with HDMI first.

Needed to attach multiple monitors

This is the perfect solution. I have two monitors connected via HDMI as well as a keyboard, mouse and 3D input device. all using a single USB-C connection on the laptop.

On the personal laptop (an older Win 10 machine with dedicated nVidia graphics, Core i7, 16GB RAM, etc) the dock failed to recognize the correct native display resolution on one monitor and didn't recognize the second at all. This was after several manual driver uninstall/reinstall cycles. On the work laptop it got one monitor recognized correctly, but wouldn't see the other. My recommendation, try something else, like a Belkin. I have one of those at the office and it works great.

No AC adapter included.

It advertises a 100 W pass thru port for powering devices and your laptop. Also on the box it states you must use the factory AC adapter to use the port, but the box does not contain this adapter and it will cost you $70 to buy the adapter. After numerous conversations with both Best Buy and the company that makes the dock, they both said sorry. No where on the box does it say the adapter is included. But it also does not state that it is sold separately.

If your computer came with a USB-C power-brick 65W or higher, you may use it towards the USB-C power-in port on the Dock for pass-through charge. The USB-C Triple Display Docking Station with 100W PD Adapter includes the JUP2290 power-brick. You may also buy the JUP2290 100W PD USB-C Super Charger separately. Thank you.
