Garbage for windows AND Macs

At least their support tells you up front it wont work on new mac, one monitor max. My hp does not work with displays at all. I did everything support saidto do. Just garbage yet it is still being sold

Posted .The USB-C Triple Display Docking Station requires a USB-C port with DisplayPort Alt Mode and Power Delivery 2.0/3.0 support in order to output to external monitors. For macOS systems, only one external display is supported due to Apple’s OS limitation, while Windows devices can support multiple monitors when the required drivers are installed. If your HP laptop does not recognize the displays, it may not have DisplayPort Alt Mode enabled on its USB-C port.

I simply take my laptop from home to work, plug it in & go and it ties in my monitors, keyboard & mouse, and my speakers and still has room for a couple of other devices.

Exactly what I needed

Just make sure you follow the instructions and install the drivers first and give it the permissions it needs if you are trying to extend to a dual monitor setup like I was.

The current version of MacOS has additional security measures for adding additional displays. This adds a couple extra steps for installing the docking station. If anyone needs assistance with this process the j5create customer support team will be happy to assist you through the process. Made for newer PC's with USB C port.

If not you will have to buy an adapter that Best Buy does not carry in order to use this with a standard USB port. Windows 10 auto installs any necessary drivers.

It advertises a 100 W pass thru port for powering devices and your laptop. Also on the box it states you must use the factory AC adapter to use the port, but the box does not contain this adapter and it will cost you $70 to buy the adapter. After numerous conversations with both Best Buy and the company that makes the dock, they both said sorry. No where on the box does it say the adapter is included. But it also does not state that it is sold separately.

If your computer came with a USB-C power-brick 65W or higher, you may use it towards the USB-C power-in port on the Dock for pass-through charge. The USB-C Triple Display Docking Station with 100W PD Adapter includes the JUP2290 power-brick. You may also buy the JUP2290 100W PD USB-C Super Charger separately. Thank you.

Posted .We understand that the driver installation process can feel a bit more involved than expected. The device uses Magic Control Technology to support multiple displays, which does require a separate driver download.

Posted .With a work computer, you will have to contact your system administrator, IT or help desk, and request that they install the driver software on the computer's local Admin account.

I purchased the charger as well and it charges my zbook and spectre laptops.

Posted .Supports Mirror and Extended modes on both Mac & Windows. The easiest way to add a second or third display. Charge your notebook or desktop through the JCD543 power-in port.

It has been working excellent since now working remotely from home. It arrived on time and was easy to hook up. Working smarter and not harder. Very pleased.

MacBook Pro M1 Chip NO 3 monitor extend

As a docking station it's decent as there are many ports BUT I have a new Macbook pro with M1 Chip and MacOS Big Sur 11.2.2. Apparently the M1 Chip doesn't allow more than 1 screen to be extended so now I'm back to searching for alternate options. There are plenty of hacks to get all three monitors to extend but you need to buy an hdmi adaptor with displaylink built into it. If you have a Mac, pre M1 this will probably do the monitor extending just fine. Be aware that it WILL NOT EXTEND THREE MONITORS on M1 based Macs.

This thing has EVERYTHING that I need. I can hook up 3 cameras using the USB, insert the MicroSD from the drone, and still have a port to charge my phone and my Mac!
