There are many times this will stop working randomly. I'll have to unplug it, and re plug just to get the video to work, then the mic doesnt pick up audio. I make sure to have input video and mic audio correct,I ended up buying a different one on Amazon.

The webcam is simply plug and play, so there is no additional software that you need to install to make it work.
