We can provide troubleshooting assistance and in the event that the webcam is defective it may be covered under the limited warranty. Posted .Depending on the setup of the JVCU100, a poor image may result. In such situations, I recommend using the Companion App as it allows you to adjust settings such as hue, brightness and more. Specialists are also on standby if needed, ready to answer any questions or concerns you may have. I sincerely apologize for the experience you had with us and hope we can still help. Doesn't work with Linux

Great for hybrid classroom!

I popped it on top of the monitor, plugged it in, and was good to go - no problems getting this to work with the district’s technology, which is a huge relief! The video is clear and displays what is on the board and projector screen clearly for my eLearners. I am also able to easily adjust the angle all day depending on where I am teaching from and I LOVE that it swivels - I turn it to the flag every morning when we say the pledge and I turn it all around this way and that way so the kids at home can be a part of the things going on in the classroom. Okay price for a teacher’s budget too - thank you so much! :)

great camera, bad build quality.

Unfortunately, the little joint that allows the camera to swivel and tilt broke when I was adjusting it last week. I put almost no pressure, I didn't hear a creak or crack or pop or anything, it just stopped working. Now the camera swivels freely with no resistance and won't stay upright, just points down at my desk. I only had it for about 5months. Not sure If I want to risk it again...

I ordered one before this from another website, (famous and starts with an A), and it turned out to be a dud. Scorned once, I admit I had low hopes for this one, but was pleasantly surprised. This webcam really is plug-and-play and very easy to use. (It even came with a set up guide.) The picture and sound quality is average, but acceptable. That's fine as it'll mostly be used for Zoom. Overall, I'm happy with the webcam.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Contrary to the few negative reviews I read about this product with regards to set up on a Windows 10 machine, I experienced no problems at all. Set up was plug and play easy. Ran tests through the Windows app to verify it functioning and everything worked. Downloaded the Zoom app and was up and running in about 15 minutes total. Team on the receiving end said they heard and saw me loud and clear. Good product for the price. Glad I got this one.

Terrible red color cast.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The picture quality is actually pretty good. The real bummer is the absolutely terrible red color cast. Worse, there is no way to adjust the color temperature. I've tried it in various lighting situations to include natural light outside. RED... RED.... RED. There's actually one reviewer on youtube who says he really likes it even though his video also has a very noticeable red color cast. If you are looking for basic, no frills, with no ability to adjust anything.. well... then I suppose it'll be ok. However, if you are hoping not to look like you just stepped off the beach at spring break and used no sunblock for the past 8 hours... this is the one for you!!

In order to adjust color on the web camera, we offer a companion app downloadable from the manufacturer's website and you can then adjust hue, brightness, contrast and more. All in all, a good camera for the money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After trying several other webcams that were all trash, I tried the JVCU100. Good value for the money. Super easy to install and use. Bit of "fish-eye" look from curve of lens but not too dramatic. Very good clarity. Was happy to stumble upon mention of the 'companion' app that enables some adjustment for brightness/contrast etc. However, the app has glitches - doesn't always fluidly connect with or identify camera, so often need to disconnect/reconnect camera to use the app, and sometimes it freezes up, but at least it allows some possibility of adjustment for different lighting situations. Would be nice if app allowed for 'White Balance adjustment as camera doesn't always auto adjust this accurately. All in all good clarity and function and I'm happy with the purchase.

Could have been better

But, not being able to easily change settings creates a unnecessary hassle. Returned this and got another cam for around the same price that had a privacy cover and easy setting options.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked this up about 5 days ago and it had problems right when I plugged it in, the camera quality is good but it keeps disconnecting in the middle of my classes so it keeps saying "zoom isn't responding their is no camera detected" I went in the camera app and it gave me an error saying "plug in a camera" I tried plugging it into a new USB but that did not change a thing. I'm most likely going to return the product because of all these problems. I even tried updating drivers, I also try deleting it from my computer and then redownloading but nothing. Overall not a good product.
