If Microsoft display adapter wasnt sold out i would oglf bought that instead. Actually I think i may return it and wait to get the Microsoft 4k wireless display adapter. Patience is key.

Not only would it lag with the YouTube videos, but when switching from 1 slide to another it would get stuck or the next image wouldn't fully load and look scrambled.

My laptop is a macbook pro so it should have been compatible. I returned the product.

The wireless network is only needed for the initial setup of the ScreenCast. After the initial setup you can connect directly between the ScreenCast and your smart device.
