Solid For Working Out and Great for Phone Calls

The Jabra Elite 45e's are a solid choice if you're looking for bluetooth wireless headphones for the gym. They stayed in my ear throughout my run and throughout a whole hour of playing basketball at the gym. The design is a little off-putting because they are meant to function as neckband headphones without the actual neckband. That being said, they do function as intended and don't move around at all even though the mic is placed directly on the right cheek. It never hit me while running or playing basketball. The playback controls are located on the right side and come over the right shoulder. They are easy to reach and very easy to click so that part of the design is actually a positive for the 45e's. However, they are not very comfortable and I do not like the earbud design because it's flat instead of round but they do stay in. The flat earbud design also allows for more passive noise to enter your ears so you could hear your surroundings better which is good if you like to hear ambient noise as I do on an outdoor run but terrible if you would rather isolate the world around you so keep that in mind. Overall the Elite 45e's sound good. It has an even sound signature with the ability to customize through the app which I found pretty much useless for me since I like a more balanced EQ. Calls on the headphones sound fantastic. I work in an extremely noisy environment and my buddy was able to hear every word loud and clear and vice versa. If you get an incoming call when listening to music they will also provide you with an audible caller ID and can answer by just speaking into the mic which is neat. The buds are magnetic for convenience but by connecting them they will also pause music and put them into auto sleep and they will come back on by separating them. Good to note that they do last up to 8 hours and take about 2 to fully charge with no quick charge. Overall, I believe these are a solid choice for this price range and I would recommend them to anyone looking for water/sweat resistant neckband style headphones that you can also use to make and receive calls for clear crisp audio.

    Drops Calls

These earbuds are uncomfortable. The cord is awkward. The calls kept dropping. Also, putting the right and left together (magnetically) hangs up the call. So if you are on a call when you get in your car and the call immediately transfer to the car; if the earbuds come together (magnetically) your call is disconnected. I am returning these earbuds. LV

Let me first start off by saying, if you are looking for headphones with a lot of bass that blast into your ear drum, than this may not be the headphones for you. If you want headphones with decent bass that goes loud enough for your neighbor to hear the music, but not clear enough to catch it word for word, than these are the headphones for you. Conversation is heard very clearly and the outside noise is blocked out. I tested it out while I was surrounded by workers with loud machinery and my husband on the other end didn't hear any of that outside noise. It def does the job and more. I haven't tried adjusting the sound volume with the app, so it just might be the bass blowing, words heard clearly by my neighbor type of headphones. So far, it feels very durable and expensive, the ear piece is very comfortable and the sound quality is right up there. Just beware, if you have a wide neck, the button reaches further back instead of right under the ear. Not a big deal, but just a heads up.

Good sound, comfort a little off

I like the sound from these headphones. It’s natural and not overly exaggerated on the top or bottom end (not a ton of bass, but they are ear buds after all). Once I got the correct gel tips and find attached, they were comfortable and felt secure. The drawback is the stiffness of the wiring. The loops coming up from your neck don’t move much and tend to rest against my cheek all the time. Bend them a little to fix it and the issue seems to move to the other side. It could be a product of the weight or the battery packs, but that’s just speculation on my part. Hopefully in time they will loosen up a bit and be less annotying. The magnetic backs on the buds click together when you remove the buds from your ears so you don’t have to work about them falling off your neck. I’m not a huge fan of where the controls are located. They seem to be too high and awkward to use with one hand. A minor thing but just annoying enough. Voice clarity is good on phone calls and battery life seems about as advertised. The built in voice assistant capability is more of a novelty to me but I’ve played around with Alexa and it seems to work fairly well. With a couple of comfort tweaks these could be great headphones. As is, they are simply ok.

Big disappointment!!!! I purchase two pair of these, one for myself and one for my wife. I ended up exchanging mine through a frustrating process with Jabra...and the replacements also malfunctioned...all within 90 to 120 days. My wives pair also malfunction...we have up and will no longer buy Jabra.....$200 wasted!!!!

I workout almost everyday, and finding a set I can wear for a few hours and not hate is hard. I love these. These are very comfortable to wear The cord is not as infuriating as many others. Not too much bass, but a decent amount Decent battery life. I went for 2 days at the gym and did not charge between days and it lasted the whole time. so you can forget a day and not be without music. i don't talk on the phone at the gym, but used them in my car for phone calls. The people I talked to didn't complain about an echo or hollow sound which is good i got these to work without the app. i LOVE that my only con alexa never worked for me. It my be my phone or internet.
