I first tried them out at home and they seemed to work well. I used both the small and medium ear piece gels to see which was a better fit for me and went with the small. Once on the plane the problems started. The earbuds kept falling out of my ears no matter how I put them in. If it hadn't been for the other passengers I would have lost them because they are so small. I switched to medium size gels but had the same problem. Possibly once you start using them the ear pieces get more flexible and are more likely to fall out. In desperation when I got to my destination I bought a scarf to wrap around my head to catch the earbuds for my return flight. I looked ridiculous since I have short hair but I didn't lose them at least. Then partway through the flight they stopped working altogether. They needed to be paired again which couldn't be done till I was back on land. They also weren't great with the noise reduction. I called Jabra to see what could be done and basically they said nothing could. My trip had taken me beyond the 2 week return period for Best Buy and they had no options on better sizing. All in all it was probably a waste of a good amount of money.

We suspect the change in pressure and temperature may have had an effect on how the Elite 65t fit in-flight versus in your home. The part you mention about needing to re-pair the Elite 65t with your phone is curious, as this is not typical, and impossible to troubleshoot now that you are on the ground.
