GREAT headphones with 1 flaw
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ended up returning these after 2 days for one reason only, and the only reason I did not give a 5 star review. 1st, quality is great, sound is great, ANC is great and the features are great (ambient mode, hear-through mode etc.) The problem is that they did not pair with my PC. They paired, but it was a terrible connection (crackling, poor sound). I checked online for a solution and the Jabra site specifically states they are meant to pair with mobile devices and not a PC, thus they may not perform correctly. They worked great with my iPhone. If you plan on using these for a PC, look elsewhere.

Great Quality Headphones
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones are amazing. I am very impressed with them. They have a lot of great features when you use the app. I really like the noise cancellation the most. It really does a great job at blocking out the background noise. The on-ear detection is amazing too. It's nice that they can shut off when you take them off. I was very impressed with all the features overall. The sound is crisp and clear and they're very comfortable to wear. I absolutely love these headphones and I'd recommend them to anyone.

Headphones to Hearing Aids
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought them recently and overall they are pretty good. These are more of a Bose competitor as they both offer a more neutral sound; Beats and Sony are more bass heavy. The build quality is very nice and they come with a 2 year warranty, which the competitors typically have a 1 year. About Jabra they are owned by GN Store Nord which is also owns ReSound which in the top five hearing aid manufactures in the world so It's safe to assume these guys know their stuff.

Superior & delightful, but...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been a fan of Jabra for many years and most recently enjoyed the Elites 65t's. The Elite 85h are a superior product for both sound and call quality with great operational features. Call quality, especially in noisy environments is great with little background noise pick-up compared to the 65t's where the person on the other end would always complain they could not hear me over the background noise. Delightful fit and comfort, battery life, and user customizable sound settings for different environments....but I agree with other reviewers on at least one shortcoming and have noticed one not previously mentioned. 1) the "Smart Sound" feature is slow to analyze and adapt to different environments and is often inaccurate - when I am in a quiet room it often defaults to a "public" space setting, and 2) during calls and with the "sidetone" setting enabled to allow you to hear your own voice, it seems there is an imbalance in the volume of my own voice between left and right sides. I have noticed this almost consistently at different "sidetone" levels, although the volume of the caller on the other end of the call is balanced. Overall a great product with great value.

Poor quality
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Setup is quite simple on the headphone. Just open and flip both earphones and it gets powered on and waits for a Bluetooth connection. Gets connected very quickly with a phone. JABRA sound app is optional. I am a bass lover and this is a very disappointing headphone if your priority is bass. Normal music without bass is okay. The volume limit can definitely be higher. I tried adjusting the equalizer to have more bass and the headphone started giving terrible sound. I had to lower the bass. I even tried preset equalizers and none of them are able to provide good sound. The noise cancellation feature on the headphone is just okay. I could still hear outside sound. Sony is best in the market for noise cancellations. The smart sound feature on the app is just useless. It takes about a minute to analyze the sound in the headphone and shifts to the relevant sound mode. I tested this at home when it was completely silent and the app recognized that I could be in a noisy environment and switched the mode to public. Jabra needs to improve a lot on the headphones. $299 for this headphone is just waste of money. I am giving 2 stars just because I liked the built of the headphone and the box it came with. This is a okay kind of a headphone for a normal music listener, not for someone who craves for quality sound.

okay sound, okay design, too simple
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Normally simplicity is a good thing but if the core pieces aren't there, it doesn't work. The sound is just decent for the price point. The design seems generic to me and isn't anything special warranting such a high price. I truly wish the sound quality was better...hopefully the next iteration has improvements.

ANC works well, support doesn't
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've found that there was a bit of pressure on my head and with glasses, caused a bit of discomfort but they have loosened up a bit and are comfortable for long periods of wear. ANC works pretty well, but not as well as my QC 35 IIs did. Sound is reasonable if not stellar. The headphones developed an intermittent crackling sound that unpairing, resetting, changing adjustments doesn't solve. Further, people are starting to say they can't hear me well. Neither of these happened in the first couple of weeks. Contacted support a week ago, and received not a single response. When I posted for help, the form said they strive to respond in 48 hours. If I could return these I would.

Perfect for students!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones are perfect for those college students heading back to the dorms! The Noise Canceling headphones make studying so much easier and distraction free. I love the quality of the sound and how easy it was to personalize my experience with the app. I let my son use them so we aren't all listening to his music while he does his homework! He has no problems setting them up and customizing them to how he likes it.

Its good but not at the current price point
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sony 1000XM3 are currently at a $50 discount on this site, so unless Jabra discounts their's further, it makes no sense to buy. Its a good headphone if you commute and fear rain, sweat to get on it, which I'm afraid is an issue with the superior Sony 1000xm3's.. ANC's are not at par with Sony's but then you get what you pay for.

Sound great when they work
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love my jabra 65t wireless so bought these for the office and commute. Sound great and fair ANC. I had an issue with static in the headset while using noise cancelling after a week and a half of back and forth with their support and no resolution in sight. Took them back and bought Sont XM3s

Not for Professional Use
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I first tried my Jabra headset, I was thrilled at the style and feel. I purchased these for work use, as the general internet reviews claimed Jabra is the company for phone call headsets. One thing you should know is that I use Zoom for web conferencing and a MacBook Air for these calls. When I listen back to my calls in which I used the Jabra, the voice quality is frankly terrible for such an expensive headset. My voice sounds fuzzy, and I am using an excellent internet connection. When I used my Apple earbuds (the wired kind), the voice quality was crystal clear. In both scenarios I was on the same device and internet (I work at an IT company, so it's great internet). I even tested the Jabra using a wired connection to my computer, and it was worse. In addition to having fuzzy voice recording, the headset then buzzed and shut down 3 times in the 15 minutes it was connected to my computer with the provided wire, even while I was just listening to music. Furthermore, when I contacted support about this issue, the support team was rude and told me I wasn't using the headset as intended, which was for mobile phone calls, not internet calls, and not to be used with computers. Based on the service alone, I wouldn't buy a Jabra product, but when the device doesn't work as claimed, that seals the deal for me.

Do not buy if you intend to pair with your PC
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I couldn't wait to get a headset from Jabra that was over the ear, ANC and certified for Skype. I know - Skype isn't the best but it's what my company uses. So I pre-ordered from BestBuy from an email from Jabra. Because every Jabra headset so far is able to be paired w your PC using a dongle, I figured this would as well. There was little tech info about the headset. The package came and no dongle. Great - Jabra improved their technology. I then go on an international trip. Love the headset - comfortable on a 9 hour flight. But I can't use my headset for conference calls. It paired with my PC but device type is Other - not Audio. So Skype doesn't recognize it. I contact Jabra via email - no answer. I check the website - no support for Elite 85h. I call support who repeats that I have the elite 65. No - 85h. You need to purchase a dongle. Really I spent $300 for your premier headset and I have to buy a dongle. Oh... the 85h. Yes. I'll transfer you. That rep tells me straight up - it does not pair to your PC. Really! I would have rated this headset as a 4 star. However bc the premier headset in the elite line where all the other headsets pair via a dongle, I rate this 1 star. It should not be elite if it can't pair to your PC. I'm moving away from Jabra and returning this to BestBuy. This is not a business headset.

Posted .Hello Martin - We are sorry to read that you were under the impression that the Jabra Elite 85h is an Enterprise product and that it did not meet your needs. The Elite 85h is part of our Consumer product portfolio and is designed for users looking for high-quality sound for listening to music and taking phone calls on the go. Based on your needs, we would recommend an Enterprise headset that is Skype for Business certified and comes with a USB dongle, like the Jabra Evolve 75. While you may be able to connect the Elite 85h with a computer, it is not optimized for this purpose so we cannot guarantee full functionality. Please see here for more information: http://bit.ly/2VwU9qA. We regret that this information was not more readily available for you, and we will pass on this feedback for improvement internally. Poor audio quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these headphones with high expectations and was very excited when I received them, the unboxing was not a let down, they felt great in hand and on my head but the big disappointment came when I turned them on and started to listen... They're not only poor quality sounding but I will go as far as stating that they're the worse pair of headphones I've ever purchased... I've own Sony, V-moda, Beats and Bose just to name a few of the top end ones theses are not even in that category. I would not recommend.

Microphone is the worst
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a noise-canceling headset with an excellent microphone. I used the microphone on a Samsung 2 in 1, a dell 2 in 1, Samsung note 10, and iPhone 7 while working on a Microsoft word document. I used it on the computers with the audio line both plugged in and unplugged. It failed to recognize 50% of what I was saying in my noise-free home. I had 100% recognition with no device and another cheaper headset. I tried it on phone calls on the 2 phones and my jabber connected computer. It failed. People had difficulty hearing me.

Posted .Hello Kelli- thanks a lot for your review of the Jabra Elite 85h. We are sorry to hear that you are running into challenges with the microphone on your Elite 85h. That is certainly not what we expect. We anticipate that the microphones on your Jabra Elite 85h will be clear and precise when the device is going over Bluetooth only. The supplied 3.5 mm audio cable is for listening to audio only.
Moreover, at this time we do not recommend you pair your Jabra Elite 85h directly with a computer. The Elite 85h is optimized to be used with other Bluetooth devices, such as smartphones or tablets. It is not optimized to be used directly with a computer. While many of our users have had great success using their headsets with the computers, this is not something that we officially support. For this reason, we cannot guarantee device performance or provide support for performance problems that may result from this. If you choose to pair your Jabra Bluetooth device with a computer, it could work for audio streaming, but not for call control, which is not supported by many computers. Also, audio quality could vary depending on the model of the computer. We would love to address the challenge you are facing with your microphone with you and we encourage you to contact our product support team as soon as you can: https://www.jabra.com/supportpages/jabra-elite-85h/100-99030003-14/contact-support. Doesn't Connect to Computer; What's the point?
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Headset is a little tight on the head. It connects fine with smart phone but it has no ability to connect to computer. What headset doesn't have the ability to connect to computer. Even with the aux plugged in, no sound comes through. It's not worth your time or money in my opinion. Get something that can actually connect to more than just your phone.

OK ANC - Quality not on par with Sony/Bose
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really wanted to love these. But Jabra just didn't deliver. Disappointing noise canceling
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I only used these for about twenty minutes and was incredibly disappointed with the noise canceling performance when sitting in a Starbucks. I updated the firmware to make sure there wasn't a fix or enhancement available, but it wasn't any better.
