When I bought this product I had a universal headset in mind headphones I can use for anything anywhere. I found my limit When I tried to game with them, thinking since they come with an audio cord it would work with my xbox games and dolby maybe I should have read into it more. Any way just went with gaming headphones which dont look cool enough for me to leave the house with.

Hello MovieHunter- Thank you for writing a review of the Jabra Elite 85h. Some users may have success pairing a Jabra device with a computer, television, video game console, or other unsupported device. However, the full functionality of the Jabra device may not be available. For example, you may be able to send and receive audio, but the buttons on a headset may not work for music controls the way they would with a smartphone. Because your Jabra device is optimized for use with a mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet, we do not recommend you pair your device directly with any unsupported device. Jabra does not guarantee device performance or provide support if problems result from this type of connection. Regardless, we appreciate your feedback and we will most certainly share this information internally. Jabra

I bought these in December. By January (just outside BestBuys return policy) the headphones start popping and crackling and stopped playing music. This is a common occurrence if you Google it. If they worked, they'd be okay. The ANC works pretty well, the microphones good. There's some annoyances with the auto pausing feature, it doesn't work very well when connected to multiple devices. The sound overall it okay, nothing impressive. I've been trying to warrenty them, but their support is terrible, I'm a month and a half into the process. I get auto responses to emails and they have no phone number. I've been trying to get these warrentied for longer than I've gotten to use them. What a waste of $163 dollars.

WFH, I use these for the majority of my day. 8+ hours. I good mix of Video calls and music from my phone. The most important factor was the ability to connect two devices at once. I also wear eyeglasses and the soft ear material is exactly what I needed.

If you want absolute sound proofing head phones, look no further. Our son uses these for his virtual school and he is always commenting on how easy they are to use and the quality he receives. They are expensive, but you will get what you pay for!

Picked these up because of the review on wirecutter and was not disappointed. They have great sound quality, battery life, and wireless range. The noise cancelling is pretty good too, not as good as the Bose QC line but I think these sound better.

As a permanent remote worker, I bought these because of noise cancellation and long battery life. Initial use was fine... no issues. After around a month, started getting static in the left ear. I contacted support around the issue, told to reset the headphones, and re-pair them with my devices (Macbook PRO and iPhone Xs.) It seemed to resolve the issue. A few weeks later, I started getting static noise in the left ear. Reset the headphones and re-paired them to my devices. This time it didn't resolve the issue. Static doesn't happen every time, but more than previously. Contacted Jabra support about the static issue and informed them I went through the reset and re-pair procedure numerous times and it hasn't helped with the issue. Jabra supported responded... "I would first like to mention the headphones are not supported for use with a computer. I would like you to fully reset the earbuds and only pair with the iPhone." What? $250 bluetooth headphones aren't supported on anything but a mobile device? ... then found this... https://www.jabra.com/supportpages/jabra-elite-85h/100-99030003-14/faq/Can-I-connect-my-Jabra-Bluetooth-device-with-a-computer-or-softphone#/ Save your money and buy Bose or Sony.

For the MSRP, I'd expect much a better sound and volume from these headphones. I tried these both on a Samsung S8+ and an iPhone 6s. Both had very low volume, and the sound was just ok at best. Let's just say you won't go deaf from listening to these at max volume, because it's impossible. The battery life seems on point because I've been using them every day, all week, for a about and hour or two at the time, and only lost 5% battery. I started at 85% out of the box, and now I'm at 80%. The Good: stylish, lightweight, comfortable, active noise canceling, good controls, long battery life, water/rain resistant, an app that helps you with settings and somewhat adjust the sound, you won't hurt your ears at max volume. The Bad: Very low volume, sound quality = meh, MSRP for what you get doesn't line up for me. I think Jabra made too big of a compromise on sound quality and volume to get the "36 hours" of playback. I can not recommend these.

After the first purchased pair, the left cup had static real bad, bad enough for a return. The second pair seemed to not have that problem, but would block out a train but not a conversation two rooms over. Returned these as well.
