At $200 they are great. They are comfortable with glasses and my large ears fit without touching the speaker grills unlike other name brands I tried in store.

Love the automatic on and off as well as ANC settings. It's not the best sound quality or noise cancellation. Still one of the best headphone in market.

The sound clarity through this headset is some of the best I have ever heard. So good in fact that, I have actually heard background noises in music that I never knew was there before. I have also been able to understand lyrics that I could never make out before, and was to lazy to look up. The sound is very clean, and easy to hear specific directions with surround sound and higher channels. The audio in music actually sounds like each instrument or device has it's own separate channel, as opposed to just being a mix or blend of noises in one stream. The volume doesn't seem to get as high as some of my other headsets, but it can still reach a level that is too loud for my liking. The bass also does not create that heavy or hard ear shattering effect that some people might like, however it is very adequate and gives you more of a natural feel and depth. All the different types of music that I listened to, sounded great on this headset. It syncs very easy with a phone, and even has an app to help you adjust your listening preferences based on 4 profiles, for commuting, public, private, or "My Moment" . you can change the EQ for each profile, from a preset, or custom. and select between the profiles, as needed, or put the headset into active "SmartSound" mode, where it listens to your background noises, and automatically switches the profiles for you. The other advantage to these profiles is that you can also have the ANC mode enabled or disabled, depending on your environment. Like when sometimes it's important to hear the people around you, and when you'd rather cancel out the unnecessary transit noises in the background. The ANC can also be toggled manually via, a button on the left ear cuff. Actually, all the buttons and controls are very easy to access, and are actual buttons that you can feel, to know where to press, for the function you want. Controlling the headset is very easy because of this. I've used this headset for a couple days now, with what I call moderate use, and the battery is still above 50%, so kudos on creating a comfortable headset you really can wear for hours at a time without having to stop to recharge or take an ear break. Call quality is just as good as the music quality, nice and crisp. I have also noticed that these have a pretty good Bluetooth connection distance as well, I was able to go 2 rooms away from my phone, and still hear my music. So, overall the quality of sound, comfort and features from this headset would be hard to beat.

The sound quality is not good. Worse, it cannot connect to my macbook as it is designed only for use with smartphones. Returned and bought a new Sony WH-1000XM3 headphone which sounds excellent, and seamlessly connects to my macbook. If you are looking for the above features, stay away from this product.

I am pleasantly surprised. Why? The 85h, upon placing them onto my ears, are pure comfort, something I struggle with the 1000MX3's, the Beoplay H9i, Surface headphones, and the Beats Studio 3's. Next, to the QC35II and the PXC550's, these are next in comfort. No ear or head fatigue whatsoever. You can dial in the headband to whatever position and it holds well and operates smoothly. Next, the sound. If the volume could be lifted 2 or 3 more levels up, these would be absolute perfection, however, if you like a lot of volume, these may not be for you. I crank it to near the top and am sometimes happy I cannot go higher because I am always wondering if I am damaging my hearing over time, so these govern me. I am not sure, however, there may be a tiny bit of breakup at the very tip volume setting. The quality of the sound for me is fantastic, especially with the app. Not as bassy as the Sony but more ballsy than the Bose. I think the soundstage was dialed in just right by Jabra. The app is thorough and intuitive and even has a setting for manipulating phone calls when you are on a call (look at the app when you are on a call). The case is excellent, these guys fold up nicely, come with an airplane adapter, seem sturdy (we will find out over time, won't we), has a two-year warranty that must be sent via the app to register properly, and has Bluetooth 5.0 so more than one device can be connected at a time. I have experienced some wonkiness when notifications come in. I sent a message to support about it. I think a firmware update in the future should take care of that. Overall, wonderful job Jabra! I am impressed. Oh, I got 30 bucks off cuz it was my birthday too! $269.00. Sweetness.

    Great sound and comfortable

I received these headphones as a gift from Jabra to try out. I've been using them to listen to podcasts and music as I paint my deck, which if anyone has ever done this you know what a long painstaking process it can be, lol. The battery life has held up great throughout, and the Bluetooth has worked well, even when I've moved away from my phone a bit to reach some further away spaces. My thoughts: What I really like about these headphones is that they are comfortable and you barely notice you are wearing them. Of course you want great sound and some noise cancelling, which you do get with these, but I'm a comfort gal. On to the sound... the quality on these is really good, and the automatic noise cancelling feature works really well. You basically tune everything around you out and can just sit and listen to your music, or podcast, or whatever. If you do want to hear when someone is talking to you then you can turn on hear-thru mode, which allows you to hear the music, but you'll notice if someone is trying to talk to you. What I'm not sure I like (I both like it and don't like it at the same time) is the folding ear pieces. While I like that you can make them compact and they fold up nicely to fit inside the case, I always feel like I'm going to twist it the wrong way and break something. Probably just my own anxiety since they are definitely not flimsy at all, and once you figure out how to fold them up it's pretty simple, but I still get nervous doing it. Overall a great set of headphones that I would recommend to anyone looking for a high quality set of noise cancelling headphones.

Jabra makes solid products. I'm used to my buddy gripe about how a solid cable will transmit the purest sound quality, but let's face it, the days of carrying a dedicated music device are gone. My phone doesn't have a headphone jack, and no, carrying a dongle around for my headphones is not appealing to me. The Jabra 85h offers surprisingly good sound quality. Grados these are not, but I say that about any wireless headphones/earbuds I've ever tried. Linking the headphones to my phone took no time at all using the app, and the settings are all easy to get to and change within the app. There are a few presets, such as commuting mod where the headphones adopt a "pass-through" sound, basically like electronic earmuffs allowing conversations and some sound to be heard so you don't walk into incoming traffic. The private mode adopts the Jabra's noise canceling. And then there's a custom option where you can either have the headphones analyze your ambient noise and choose the best setting or you can personally customize it. Phone call quality wasn't quite as crisp as the advertisement, but the noise canceling did help to isolate voice from the call, even in the presence of my toddler making his usual ruckus. Good all-round headphones with close to the advertised battery life, easy to use app, and pretty comfortable ear cushions. I like these a lot.
