Slightly better than the 75T.
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great sound, noise cancelling, and battery life. They feel like they're going to fall out but don't. A little larger in the ear than the 75t model.

Perfectbuds
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sure, they were at the higher end of cost.... but these Elite85t buds are simply the BEST I've ever owned or ever DREAMED of owning! To much greatness to express in 1 review! Just do it! Pay the high dollar! They perform seamlessly and with absolute perfection. The active noise canceling is is amazing. Not to mention the what is called, hear through mode. It's genius. They're like hearing aids. It helps that awkward feeling of having good sealed buds n talking on the phone but not really being able to hear yours speak. Us you get all the noises n talking and everything Goin on around you. You don't get that with most buds. Do it, I promise you, you'll b very happy you did, like I am.

These sound sooooo niiiiiiiiice.....
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing sound! I love these earbuds! I refuse to give into buying Apple air pods or whatever they're called and any of those other trendy expensive earbuds you see in commercials and in every single person's ears on the street. These things sound so good and have a nice chunk of settings to fine tune the adjustments to your liking. They charge fairly quick, fit comfortably and are easy to keep clean. I justified the price based off the quality, reputation, options and comfort. At first I struggled with trying to understand how they were going to stay in my ears because I feared losing them, but they stay in place really well.

Close but no 75t
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned the 65t 75t and now 85t. I like these the least of the 3. The sound delivers like all the others and the wireless charging case are nice additions, but I'm struggling to get a good fit in my ear. If i solve this I'll update my review.

Posted .Hello BLWood- Thank you for your review of the Jabra Elite 85t. We are sorry that you are not satisfied with the Elite 85t compared to the Jabra Elite 65t and Elite 75t. While we are happy to hear you enjoy the audio quality of the earbuds, we regret that you cannot find a secure fit with the Elite 85t. The Jabra Elite 85t feature a semi-open design, so it is expected for them to fit differently than the Elite 65t or Elite 75t, which have a closed design. We encourage you to check out our Jabra Elite 85t fit guide to see how to find your perfect fit: jabra.com/supportpages/jabra-elite-85t/100-99190000-02/faq/How-do-I-get-the-best-fit-with-my-Jabra-Elite-85t. We recommend you try all of the different sized ear gels that come included in your package as we know that not everyone's ears are the same size or shape. You will want to find an ear gel that fits snuggly in your ear without being too tight. Finding a snug fit may take some trial and error, and you may even need to mix and match the size of your ear gels per earbud. Lastly, we now offer a MyFit test for the Jabra Elite 85t found within the Jabra Sound+ app. We designed MyFit to help you find your best fit with the Elite 85t earbuds and optimize your audio experience, improve the Active Noise Cancellation functionality, and help you feel a deeper bass in your audio. When you take the test, you will hear a tone played simultaneously in each earbud. During this time, your earbuds are checking to make sure that you have an optimal seal around your ear canal. To access the MyFit test, connect your Jabra Elite 85t to the Sound+ app. Then, go into the Headset tab and select Settings. Lastly, tap "Personalize your headset" > MyFit. Bear in mind that the Jabra Elite 85t must be running firmware version 1.38 or higher to take the MyFit test. Please do not hesitate to contact us if there is anything else we can do for you: https://www.jabra.com/supportpages/jabra-elite-85t/100-99190000-02/contact-support. We are here for you!

It’s good
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like it. Noise canceling is amazing, especially when I get a phone call . The way I can adjust the noise and control which side does what. I like that. Only thing I don’t like is that you have to have the right side bud in for the left side to work. Wish that I could choose either or.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had the 65T for 5 years and now losing charge. Replaced with 85T. They seem a little bit smaller that the 65. Sounds still great. I mainly use these doing yard work, cutting grass. Works great I believe the older pair has a better fit, that way I rating 4 out of 5.

||Posted . The only thing is they don’t fit as well as the t75 but I still like the t85 better.

Disappointing Experience, BestBuy and Jabra Elite
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased the Jabra Elite 85t earbuds from BestBuy, and unfortunately, my experience has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. Within just three months of use, these earbuds have proven to be far from the high-quality product I was hoping for. Right from the start, I encountered issues with the functionality of the earbuds. The most prominent problem is the earbud's inconsistent performance; one side often fails to produce any sound, leaving me with a lopsided and unsatisfying listening experience. Adding insult to injury, I've noticed an incessant static noise that accompanies my audio playback. This annoying noise disrupts the music or podcasts I'm trying to enjoy and ruins the overall experience. It's incredibly frustrating to have invested in a supposedly premium pair of earbuds only to be constantly interrupted by this disruptive static. Furthermore, I've experienced frequent dropouts and disconnections while using them with my smartphone, even when it's within a reasonable range. This makes it impossible to trust the earbuds during critical moments when I need them the most. I called BestBuy customer service only to be told no returns or exchange after 15 days. A brand new product with 15 days guarantee. The Jabra Elite 85t earbuds have consistently failed to meet the performance standards that were promised, leaving me deeply unsatisfied with my purchase. The customer service experience has not been any better. When I reached out to Jabra for assistance, the response time was slow, and their suggestions were generic and unhelpful. I expected a more supportive and proactive approach, given the premium price tag attached to these earbuds. In conclusion, I regret my decision to purchase the Jabra Elite 85t earbuds from BestBuy. The Jabra Elite 85t seems to be plagued with numerous technical issues, including sound imbalances, persistent static noise, and unreliable connectivity. For a product that claims to offer top-tier audio quality and features, this performance is simply unacceptable. I urge potential buyers to consider other alternatives, as I can't recommend the Jabra Elite 85t or BestBuy based on my unsatisfactory experience.

Jabra Elite 85t
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great sound. Stays in ear as long as I am sitting, regular walking or riding stationary bike. Tends to slip out when working and bending over, raking leaves and other yard work. Works well for conference calls or Teams meetings on cell phone but not for physical activities.

Just Plain Bad for Its Price
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was surprised to see that Best Buy would ship them before the official release date, let alone delivering them them just two days after ordering. I have tried the Bose QC earbuds (pretty uncomfortable and decided to try other options before committing to them) and the Sennheiser Momentum True wireless 2 (really uncomfortable and returned them). I also used to have the Bose SoundSport wireless earbuds. Untested: -Call quality (I would not really be using them for calls so I did not even bother testing it) Pros: 1. Could be comfortable design for some (definitely not for me). 2. Bass is pretty good but I also don't really care for it and don't really know what is good or not. All I know is the QC have better, and SoundSport and Momentum 2 (I think) have worse. 3. Jabra app has an equalizer control with ability to change bass, midrange, treble and two settings in between, and recommended equalizer inputs. QC doesn't have one and the momentum 2 have a better equalizer control Cons (lots of them): 1. Tied for biggest con (with sound quality): Doesn't work with PCs. I didn't see anywhere on Jabra's site or tech blogs saying that they would not work with a PC. I never had a Jabra earbud so I guess only returning customers are supposed to know that information. 2. Sound is awful for the price. You could pay 50 or 30 dollars more to buy the QC and Momentum 2 and have 10x better sound. The midrange honestly screeches and the mid-range is either too strong or weak when you adjust it in the app. My 30 dollar Soundpeats (forgot their name) honestly might have similar, possibly better, sound. Like I mentioned above, bass seems to be good but that doesn't matter to me. 3. ANC is not great. Not even close to QC and honestly not much better than Momentum 2. I haven't tried any other noise-cancelling earbuds or headphones than those three so its not really fair for me to completely degrade the ANC for the 85t. Though the next point is why I think its bad. 4. Wind noise... If you have wind blowing in your face or around you the earbuds pick them up and pump bass noise into your ears. Really really really irritating. I had a fan on in a quiet room and starting to get a headache from the noise the earbuds picked up. 5. Very uncomfortable for my ears, though, to be fair, I have issues with almost all earbuds. I have small ears with a piece of cartilage that sticks toward the inside of my ears, making it almost impossible for me to find a comfortable earbuds. I've only had two comfortable earbuds, the Soundsport wireless and a pair of Soundpeats. But with the amount of advertising and preaching by tech blogs about how comfortable the Jabra 75t are for people with small ears and how the 85t will be even more comfortable, I thought they would work for me. They definitely don't. 6. Made of cheap plastic. In my opinion they feel like they are made of 1 dollar plastic. Absolutely garbage for the price (though this is in my opinion and they might be ok). 7. Case is awful. My 30 dollar earbuds have a nicer case than them. Its definitely cheap plastic (not 100 percent sure if earbuds are) and the lid doesn't contain springs, meaning it just flops around when opened. 8. Mine arrived somewhat dirty. The box had smudges which is not always an issue, but the earbuds had hair and dust stuck to the soft plastic tips. The extra earbuds also seemed to already have been opened and the inside of the box had dirt and hair. 9. Button on earbuds are not touch sensitive. For the price you would think they might be, and QC and Momentum 2 both have touch sensitive controls. This isn't a huge con for me though. Was really hoping these would be both comfortable and have good sound for the price. Sound is most important to me, but I don't want uncomfortable earbuds as well (which is why I am unsure of my QC earbuds). The 85t were advertised as very comfortable and tech blogs claimed it would be great comfortable earbuds, but they weren't for me. Returning them soon. Very disappointed.

Posted .Hello James- Thank you for your review of the Jabra Elite 85t, we really appreciate it. We are glad to hear that you are liking the bass level in the Jabra Elite 85t as well as the music equalizer found within our corresponding Jabra Sound+ app. On the other hand, we regret that you are not satisfied with the audio quality, fit, and ANC feature of the Jabra Elite 85t. To make the most out of the ANC feature of the Jabra Elite 85t, you are going to want to make sure you have the proper fit with your earbuds. The earbuds should fit snugly in your ears and the eargels should create a seal around the outside of your ear canal. This will, in turn, prevent any ambient noise from getting into your audio stream. Please check out our support article linked here: https://www.jabra.com/supportpages/jabra-elite-85t/100-99190000-02/faq/How-do-I-get-the-best-fit-with-my-Jabra-Elite-85t#/ to see how to get the best fit with your Elite 85t earbuds. Once you have found a good fit with your earbuds, you will want to customize the ANC in your Jabra Elite 85t by going into the Headset tab of your Jabra Sound+ app. Then select Personalize your headset> Active Noise Cancellation and follow all of the on-screen prompts. Make sure you are in a noisy environment when customizing the ANC on your Jabra Elite 85t as this will ensure you get the best results. Ensuring you have the best fit with the eargels on your Jabra Elite 85t earbuds is also vital for getting the best audio quality out of your earbuds. To see our helpful tips and tricks on how to get the best possible audio quality with your Jabra Elite 85t, click here: https://www.jabra.com/supportpages/jabra-elite-85t/100-99190000-02/faq/How-do-I-get-the-best-sound-when-listening-to-music-and-watching-videos#/. The Elite 85t also boasts a 12mm speaker where previous models of our truly wireless devices used a 6mm speaker so you should have better sound. If you are still not satisfied with the audio quality of the Jabra Elite 85t after checking out our support articles, we recommend taking the MySound test found in the Jabra Sound+ app to tailor your listening experience even further. The MySound test is an audio test made up of various tones played at different frequencies in both your left earbud and right earbud, respectively. The results of the test are then used to create a personalized audio profile for the wearer. Your MySound profile is used to calibrate your Jabra device to optimize your music listening experience and is saved to both your Jabra Elite 85t earbuds and to your Sound+ app to ensure you are always getting the best possible audio quality. It is also strongly encouraged that you keep your Jabra Elite 85t up to date with the most recent firmware versions to ensure the best device functionality. We recently released firmware verion 1.27 for the Jabra Elite 85t that resolved many device challenges. You can find instructions on how to update your Jabra Elite 85t on our support page here: https://www.jabra.com/supportpages/jabra-elite-85t/100-99190000-02/faq/How-do-I-update-the-firmware-on-my-Jabra-earbuds-using-Jabra-SoundPlus#/.
