Great but I have Stupid Ear Holes.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Quality : Great Sound : Great Case : Pocketable Life : Exceeded Expectations No complaints and exceeded expectations. I have some goofy ears though and they wouldn't stay in so ended up returning them. Feel out bending over to tie my shoes. Buddies though use them for running and biking, so its more of an issue with my ears than the product.

Quality change, good and bad
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There's really not much of a difference when it comes to this new releases compared to the flagship 75t series. Some changes are to the case and where the charge light located. There is now an extra processer in use to work the active noise cancelling, this may be why the sound is not as crisp as it had been in the previous model. They do sit differently as the feel a little bigger and side-by-side comparison (slightly larger). Setup is still just as easy as before and firmware pushes are easier send with the change in where the LED is located for notifications.

12mm Drivers = Amazing Sound
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I prefer the 75t and 85t over the new 'lineup' of Jabra 'Elite' 3, 4 and 7 earbuds. I love the 75t for workouts and bought a few extra as spares just in case. I also bought these and only recently opened them up to try.. and wow. The sound coming out of these is pretty amazing and im guessing it has something to do with the uniquely larger 12mm drivers - a hard detail to find and a detail you wont see in competing brands. Maybe thats why the MSRP of these are more expensive than the newer top o the line Pro 7s. If you are looking for Sound Quality, these are among the best. Sure, these are larger than the slimline look of the Elite 3, 4, 7s and even 75t.. but its not obnoxiously so like the Sony W1000XM4s which protrude quite a bit and have less comfortable foam eartips. I cannot speak on behalf of the ANC - but from my experience Jabra's ANC tech is very average. The call quality from these with the 6 microphones should give this a standing chance with the new competition too but to be fair, I havent tried it and cant offer a fair comparison. All I know is that the sound quality of these are amazing - great soundstage, bass and clarity. Bought a second pair when Jabra 'refreshes' *cought* waters it down into what will inevitably be called the 'Elite 8'. Get these!

Best wirlees earbuds I've ever had
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've tried a lot of wireless earbuds over the years and these are the best I have found. I originally had Bose Soundsport Free Wireless and they were great, these are better. The sound quality is top notch with great bass. Thr ANC is strong, I hardly hear a plane engine or lawnmower. Even the latest Samsung Buds don't compare to these

Some functionality can be improved
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a good bluetooth headphone for the price. Even though it supports multiple connected devices, it doesn't do great when I tried pairing it with my windows computer and android phone. But those are not issues with the headphones themselves. Bluetooth is a bit messy for multiple devices. The main reasons why I deduct points are: 1. In Hear through mode, the loudest volume for hearthrough (allowing maximum hear through), introduces some unnaturalness and injects some noise which is not present in the environment. So up until the last but one step, it works fine, but at the last/max step, it goofs up - it feels like the level of hear through actually drops and there is more "comfort noise" added in the lower frequencies. 2. Lack of sidetone in data calls. Sidetone is when a small part of your own voice is fed back to the headphones so that you don't feel like your ears are blocked. When it's a cellular call, a sidetone control setting appears on the app, but in a data call like whatsap, or facebook or signal, etc., the sidetone option disappears. I'm aware that the device and most times even Android itself may be unaware that it's a data call, but then I would expect the sidetone option to be available so that users who know can use it. 3. In a data call, the "hear though" option is unselectable from the app. You can either pick OFF or ANC. These are all advanced user points but once even a person without knowledge of these terminologies is shown this once, these are very simple ideas and make a big difference in the user experience. Finally, my brother has the 75t, and 85t definitely has much worse battery life. We talk regularly and we compare the battery life through the call we are on, as well as our own experiments while listening to music.

Great ones
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I believe they are very balanced in everything. Decent nc decent sound decent comfort etc. I would definitely get get these especially for the price of $149.99 and yet they are still worth the $220 . I also own the Senn M2 which sound great and bought for $200 and still use my 85T as my daily driver

Small Ears Beware
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After a year of researching the best options for earbuds, I finally made the decision to purchase the 75t after reading rave reviews. To my surprise, the 85t were made available and I jumped at the opportunity to purchase them instead. After 2 days I am so disappointed. I cannot keep these buds in my ears to save my life and I purchased them specifically for fitness related activities. I tried every gel tip, mixed and matched, inserted and rotated and nothing worked. I must be an outlier in regards to this as I've seen no other complaints related to this issue. I have relatively small ears (I guess) and these just would not stay in. The sound quality was what I expected and the features, including the app, were all great. Setup was easy and it is pretty hard to experience connectivity issues after only 2 days off use so all good there. The charging case, when opened, was surprisingly flimsy in a way not consistent with the high price point. Overall, I'm sure these would be great for the majority of puchasers but if you have small ears like me, you may be very disappointed. I just wish manufacturers would add an ear clip like PowerBeats Pro did to alleviate this issue.

PERFECT... except...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are awesome. Great sound, love all the features, and I got them on sale. Unfortunately, they would not stay in my ears, no matter which size I tried or how closely I followed their directions. I went out for a jog thinking they might work but as soon as I started to sweat they just fell out. I was really sad to return them. I ended up with Bose instead, because their little horn shaped rubber piece makes them stay put. They’re I derive to these Jabras in every other way.

Was great until.....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These were amazing when I first got them in Nov. 2020. They paired right up with my devices, sounded awesome and the noise cancelling was great. The app is great for customizing music. Fast forward to 2022. First zoom call of the new year, and these ear buds started muting on their own. I couldn't get a word in. Went through all of the troubleshooting steps and still had with pausing music and muting during calls. When I called Jabra and was told that pairing with a computer was considered an "unsupported use" and that I could purchase a dongle for $80. Really ridiculous for earbuds that cost over $200. Never again Jabra. It's a shame because I do love how these sound, especially over other brands.

Not as good as the 75T's. Less snug fit.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Jabra 75T's a few months ago on sale not knowing the 85T was coming soon. So being the tech geek that I am, I ordered the 85T's now and have used them for a couple days and want to give my opinion. Unfortunately I think the 85T's were a big waste of money. The 75T's fit very good. I was actually surprised how good they fit. I am a large man at 6'6" and about 270 pounds. My ear canals are proportionately larger and I have a hard time finding in ear buds that fit well. I have the Apple AirPods Pro and they do fit OK and didnt hold high hopes for the 75T but they fit very nice and snug with the large size tips included in the package. The 85T has a redesigned tip shape. It is now oval and doesnt fit anywhere near as good as the 75t. I do not feel it sounds any better either. Partly I am sure because of the less than snug fit in the ear. I may give the 85T to a family member and ask for the 75T's back that I just gave them before delivery of the 85's. I prorbably try to return the 85's for a refund. Will have to think about that for a day or so and decide. I think to boil it down..... Jabra should have never changed the shape of the port for the tips. It caused me to have a very poor experience.

Posted .Hello ToddG- Thank you for your review of the Jabra Elite 85t in comparison to the Jabra Elite 75t. We are sorry to hear that you did not find the fit of the Elite 85t earbuds to be as secure as the fit of the Elite 75t earbuds. Since everyone's ears are shaped slightly differently, we recommend trying all of the different sized EarGels that come included in your package in order to find a fit that is snug, but not too tight. You may even need to mix and match the size of your EarGels per earbud. The three sizes of smooth, silicone oval eargels create a more secure, noise-canceling seal and should provide a more comfortable fit as your ear canal is not round. Furthermore, we strongly encourage you to check out our support article which details how to get the best fit with your Jabra Elite 85t: https://www.jabra.com/supportpages/jabra-elite-85t/100-99190000-02/faq/How-do-I-get-the-best-fit-with-my-Jabra-Elite-85t#/. I really wanted to keep it, but had to return.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really wanted to like the Jabra 85t. The earbuds are very comfortable and good-looking on the ears. The sound is great and natural with just enough bass. The call quality is better than most others I have tried. But the bluetooth connection is a big problem: I experienced constant, brief drop-offs or cut-offs, as if the earbuds are trying to connect and reconnect. I have updated the firmware, reset the buds according to Jabra's support website, updated the language (which will update the system as well, according to Jabra), but the problem persists. I noticed that if I disconnect the bluetooth on my phone and reconnect again, the problem goes away. But next time I use it out the charging case, the cut-offs come back again. Jabra website troubleshooting says to avoid places with electronics (due to interference) - what a joke! I know my cellphone only has bluetooth 4.0, but the earbuds are backward compatible. I have noticed on the internet that other 85t owners have experienced the same problem. Tried everything and can't stand the drop-offs. Returned. Hope Jabra solves the problem in its future products.

Amazing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly, I've been looking for a while because most earbuds hurt my ears to put in. Glad I found these. Really comfortable, and amazing noise cancelling. Honestly, I think these are superior to the Bose WXM4's. Would really recommend.

Best by far!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These newly designed earbuds took care of the flaw of not being good with calls. ”Wind proof and noise cancelling” are the most important features of earbuds used primarily for hands free phonecalls. In terms of functionality, these have become the best in its class. Comfortable, long lasting battery, and a nice feature, the charge case can be charged wirelessly.

Right earbud craps out
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do not buy these before doing your research. I purchased these about a year and a half ago and one day, the right ear bud volume decreased automatically, all by itself. I contacted Jabra and did all of their suggestions but to no avail. They offered to give me a very small percentage off on a new pair and that was all that they were willing to do. These are FAR too expensive for a little over a years usage. There is a known issue with these and lots of people had similar issues as I learned this after the fact. Save your money on this cheap junk

TERRIBLE Return Policy for defective product!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.BEWARE! Jabra's return policy is terrible and not in line with industry standards at all. After switching to Jabra from Jaybirds that lasted 2 years (even going through the washing machine once!) these earbuds starting shorting out after less than 6 months. When I tried to get replacements with the warranty, they informed me that I would have to ship them back first and WAIT A MONTH FOR THEM TO BE PROCESSED BEFORE GETTING NEW ONES!! I purchased these for regular use as an athlete. Now, I have no earbuds at all to use in the meantime. All because Jabra made a defective product. I will never buy them again, and I recommend you don't either. My Jaybirds had a better fit and sound anyway.
