Apparently you cannot use the left earbud because it connects to the right ear bud. So the only earbud you can use solo is the right one which irritates your ear after 18 hours day after day after day. Maybe I'm the only one who does this but I think it's stupid the left can not be used solo.

Posted .Hello Ratdago- Thank you for writing a review of the Jabra Elite Active 65t. The Left Earbud of the Elite Active 65t has to be in range with the Right Earbud to function properly. The maximum range between the earbuds is 20cm/8in. Please feel free to use the Right Earbud independently. The Right earbud is where the Bluetooth connection between your phone and the Elite Active 65t is hosted. The Left Earbud is then connected to the Right Earbud through a different kind of connection (not Bluetooth), and that's why the Left Earbud will not work independently (since it doesn't have a Bluetooth connection with the phone). It is unfortunate that you are having trouble finding a secure fit. Through trial and error, most users find a perfect fit. We recommend mixing and matching the included accessories. Easily connects 2 devices at the same time (I connect my phone and my tablet" Once connected it automatically connects when you take em out of the case. Everything just... works, and I love it!

I would definitely not recommend these. If I used them a lot I'd understand but when I've used them maybe 30 times over the course of a year and the main bud has no sound that's not good. For this amount of money you'd expect them to last a lot longer especially being "active" rated!
