Great Sound and Fit. Poor Quality

I just came from testing jlabs air which for $55 sound amazing and are really good. I only had to exchange them because my ears are small and left earbud kept falling when running. So I went with this on the $50 off best buy special. Great price with discount. A note: Jlabs Air sound as good or perhaps a bit better and louder than the Jabras and cost only $55. Now I love the Jabras fit. They won't fall out on a 2 hour workout. I mean wow! Great fit. Sound is good but the fidelity and bass are just lacking a bit, still great sound, could be louder though. I cant believe Jlabs Air sound so good :/. Anyways the mics work good on calls. Ambient Sound is really just a gimmick. I cant really hear anything g that's not 2 o 3 feet far. Battery is great!. Now my biggest complain and I cant seem to get it fix so I'll have to return these. It's the left earbud static sound. I know for some earbuds, this is normal when playing any sound. But this static is NOT normal. Its LOUD and annoying I can hear the static louder than the music. I mean what happened here? I tried last update and it didnt help. I read other reviews and it seems this is a problem with these earbuds. The static is only on the left earbud right earbud doesn't have it. If it wasn't for this static this would be perfect for me just because of the fit, even though sound is not GREAT(fidelity) it is really good and enough for me, but man I cant with this static.

fit is great. simple push in and they stay put as long as needed. nice microphone, very effective and doesn't look silly like the junior's airPod sticks. but why is the case so horrible? hard to put them back in case. case is hard to open, they dont "seat" themselves in the case you need to slightly twist so you can close top. top although being hard to open, if dropped top pops open and the buds go flying in different directions. guessing the case was an after thought. probably not worth $180 maybe $110 but, i am coming from no wireless pod based has ever had quality sound , build, noise etc. so nothing should be more than $100 or so.

    Best wireless headphone experience

I’ve owned countless numbers of headphones over the years, wired and wireless. These are the first truly wireless headphones I’ve owned and I have no complaints. These are very easy to use, pair easily to my Apple products and the sound quality is very good. I’ve had these for a couple of weeks now and I would say the only issue I have had is I dropped one of them and it rolled under something which made me a bit nervous about how easy they would be to lose if they are not secure in your ear. The fit is perfect for my ears and the seal that it forms blocks out almost all noise. With the Hear through feature I can easily turn that on to hear noise around me or speak to someone. I’ve asked people during phone calls how the sound quality is from their end they have said it is very clear. I use these at the gym as well and have had no issues with them falling out or moving on me at all. They are comfortable easy to put in and remove. The charging pod is small enough it fits in your pocket without issue and it charges the headphones very quickly.

I am a traveling salesman and these are a gift from God. I can't take them out of my ears. If you are looking for something that can replace your outdated bluetooth headset or headphones look no further. Pros 1. The hear through feature. Press the button twice and you can hear everything around you. It makes it convenient when you run into a store and do not want to remove them. Or when I actually feel like listening to my wife. 2. I can do four hours of sweaty yard work and they don't even come close to falling out. 3. They have great sound. 4. The battery lasts as long as described and the case and earbuds charge very quickly. 5. Works great with phone calls and I am on the phone all day. No one ever said it sounded like I was in a tunnel. 6. Range is decent and the connectivity has been great. Cons 1. They take a little while to get used too. The right earbud gave me some discomfort in the first week, but eventually my ears adjusted and they are great now. Buy these, you won't be disappointed. These are the best true wireless earbuds on the market right now.

Good update to an already good pair of headphones

I have the non-active version of this set of headphones and have enjoyed them for a while. This version adds the "active" moniker that is supposed to be more resilient to sweat. I sweat a lot when I work out so this is great for me. Although I never really had a lot of issues with the old ones. One of my favorite things about these headphones is the charging case because of the easy to see and read lights. I've had other fully wireless headphones that don't have any status lights on the case and I ended up having the headphones die in the middle of a workout because I forgot to charge them (or didn't realize they needed to be charged). There's a bright light on the inside and on the bottom of this case that's green most of the time but changes to yellow when the battery is running low. I just make sure to charge them when the light turns yellow. The light only lights up when you open and close the case so it's not annoying. Sound quality is good. I'm no audiophile and I do have to adjust these on occasion so they're deeper into my ears. If any air is able to leak out of the headphones, don't count on hearing any bass. Luckily, I don't have a lot of issues with them staying in my ear so the sound stays pretty decent. The only other difference from the standard, non-active version of these headphones is the finish. Both the case and the buds have a more matte finish than the non-active version. I actually like the finish a lot. Overall, I would recommend these to anyone looking for a decent pair of fully wireless headphones. If these cost more than the regular version, I might just recommend the regular version if you don't sweat a lot. Unless you really like the matte finish.

    Third time was the charm

After returning two other sets of earbuds due to just not liking their fit and operation, I finally hit a home run with these! They are perfect for my usage, seem secure in my ears (although if I were still a runner I'd be careful with them), and sound great. One good thing, this being winter, is that they fit close enough into my ears to not be too uncomfortable under a headband or woolen cap. I also like that they operate with actual buttons instead of the over-sensitive touch controls on the ones I returned. I also considered the 75t and 85t, but they had nothing about them that seemed worth the added cost for my purposes. The entire product has a quality feel, and having an app to go along with it for fine tuning is a real bonus. I also like the compact case that is easy to stick in my pocket. Overall a real winner!

Great for voice, music not so much

I bought these primarily to use with Microsoft Teams meetings for work, and for my Google Pixel phone. I have used the Jabra 510 and 710 speakerphones and have always been impressed with the quality, so i took a chance on these earbuds. The microphones work very well both indoors and out. The range is pretty good - i can usually walk to a different floor from my laptop and stay connected. People on the calls say my voice is clear, so for voice (speaking and listening) these work great. Charging is easy, and the earbuds reconnect to my laptop and phone quickly every time when I take them out of the charger. The right earbud turns itself on automatically, and the left can be turned on by pressing a button for a second. The fit is good and while they are a bit bulky, so are all of the bluetooth earbuds, so that's not a downside. I have worn them comfortably for several hours at a time. Battery life appears to be a little less than advertised. I wore them for about 3-5 hours for phone calls and web conferences before my phone told me they were at about 10%. Not bad though - I can easily make it through most days' conference calls at work on a single charge. After a few phone calls and web conferences i could do the basics with the buttons on the earbuds without thinking about it. The documentation online for these is really well-written, which was a pleasant surprise. The big disappointment is listening to music, as mentioned in other reviews. The sound is thin, and no amount of tweaking the equalizer in the companion Android app seems to help. I'm not an audiophile, I usually use whatever earbuds come with my phone or whatever is $20 at Best Buy, so I'm no sound snob, but these just don't deliver in the music department. 4 stars because they work very well for web conferences and phone, which is the primary reason I bought them, and -1 star for music sound.

Finicky pairing and now right earbud not working.

Received these as a gift to pair with a Garmin Vivoactive 3 music. They fit surprisingly well, and I rarely have an issue with them coming loose during runs. When they work, they provide great sound. Unfortunately, it's been a nightmare getting them to pair with my smartwatch. Sometimes they link up without difficulty, other times I have to spend at least 5-10 minutes just getting them to pair. Additionally, if I run with the watch on my left wrist, the sound will drop intermittently throughout the run. No problems when worn on the right side. Most of these problems are a nuisance, but manageable. However, last week, the right earbud started dropping volume to the point that I could barely hear sound about 15 seconds after pairing. The left works fine. Apparently, this is a common issue. I really wanted to love these, and do really like them when they work. Problem is that they rarely do work, so I can not recommend them.

Poor call quality, avg sound, great bt connection

From all the positive reviews, I was really expecting a lot from these earbuds. Unfortunately I was disappointed, and I returned them after 10 days. The good: Reliable Bluetooth connection - I experienced no dropouts with my iPhone XS. Secure fit - I felt confident that these earbuds would stay in place even during a snowboard fall. Fairly comfortable - they seemed uncomfortable at first, but my ears did get used to them. The bad: Sound - They sound pretty mediocre, no better than AirPods. There really isn’t any detail anywhere in the sound field. The bass is disappointing, mids and highs are muddy. The eq in the app helped slightly. Call quality - While I could hear the other person quite well, unfortunately the mic kept dropping out. It was very frustrating. For the price, I do not feel as though these are a good value. If either the sound was better or the mic was more reliable, I would have kept them. But these are really pretty average earbuds. For these to be getting consistently positive reviews, the rest of the available options must be pretty bad.

Sometime last year, I got the Elite 65t after a lot of research when they were on sale. I thought they were great, with great sound and were super easy to use. The one problem I had with them was they fell out CONSTANTLY. Any time I was running or doing any motion that was moving more than just my arms, they would slide out of my ears. It was frustrating having to continuously push them back in while working out. I lost the Elite 65t when I moved a month ago, so I decided to replace them with the Active model. The Elite Active 65t sounds just as good as the non-active, but they stay in my ears so much better. My ears are on the smaller side, but these work wonders. I haven’t had any days of significant sweating yet, so I can’t speak to the water resistance, but I am very glad I got these ones.

    Disappointed

After reading the stellar reviews, I was very disappointed. While there are some positive aspects to these true wireless earbuds, the negatives far outweigh them. Positives: * Good audio. Well balanced, decent bass * Comfortable. Can be worn for long periods of time without fatigue * Good battery life for true wireless Negatives * Bluetooth connection easily interfered with. I used these as my daily commuting earbuds. On the railroad they were fine. But once I hit the streets of midtown Manhattan, all bets were off. The buds cut out at every street corner, and I don't mean minor hiccups. They were completely unusable in some areas. Even walking my suburban neighborhood proved a challenge for these buds. * After a few weeks, they were out of balance; the left was noticeably louder than the right. * The buttons are a little stiff; you end up pushing the buds farther into your ears each time you want to change the volume or pause your music (but not nearly as bad as the Elite Sport). * Jabra support is terrible. I contacted them about my issues and received one email with paint by number suggestions, all of which I had tried (which I put into my support email). Five subsequent emails yielded no response from Jabra. Ultimately, Bluetooth headphones that cost almost $200 should be able to maintain a solid connection, and should not begain to fail after two or three months. And, when they do exhibit issues, the company should stand behind their product, and not ignore support emails.

After 3 years of use, I can say that this is one of the best wireless earbuds without noise canceling. I mainly use it for running and the fit is great with no worries that it'll fall, the buttons on the buds are really handy and the microphone works great having got feedback from my colleagues on the other end. The battery is going strong and lasts my workout and more but the case battery does not hold its charge as much as it did before but works fine once it's filled up.

Fantastic Sound Quality But Fit Didn't Work For Me

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I've used lots of Jaybird ear buds for running and working out since Jaybird came on the market years ago and after struggling to keep the Jaybird Run buds in my ear, tried these out. The sound quality was a substantial step up from the Jaybird Runs. I'm now using the Tara Pros and there is an even bigger step up in sound quality with the Jabra Elites. But sadly, the fit of the Elites was a bigger disappointment than the fit of the Runs (and far worse than the Tara Pros). There is no wing to keep the bud in place. Relying on literally screwing the bud into the ear canal to hold the bud in place over a long run just didn't work for me. Two problems occurred. First, the moment sweat found its way into my ear, the buds would slip out. And on the many occasions when this happened and even the many days before it happened, screwing the bud in for a real secure fit often resulted in poor placement of the bud that muffled the sound. I had a lot of runs where it sounded like I only had one ear piece working. I often ended up just taking the bud out and running with just one. Doing burpees or box jumps or intervals also nearly every time resulted in a bud bouncing out of my ear. Sadly, between the poor fit and the lack of any blade to fasten the bud in place, these buds just don't cut it for workouts.

I've had these for a few weeks now. I've very pleased with their audio quality. Besides the Jabras I mainly use audio technica ATH-M50x. With those headphones being my main point of reference, I can say the Jabras represent highs, lows and mids quite well. What I find most impressive about them, however, is their stereo separation. I don't know if it's specific to the Jabras or inherent in truly wireless earbuds, but the separation between left and right channels is noticeably distinct and has resulted in a fun experience listening to music. I listen to many genres, including but not limited to hip-hop, rock, pop, and electronic. They provide good isolation. I commute daily by subway and they do a fine job of blocking out external noise. I like that they pause automatically when I remove them from my ears. I can't speak to the battery life because I've never listened for 5 hours straight. I keep them in the case when not in use and I'd estimate that I use them between 3-4 hours a day. Using them in this manner, I think I've been charging the case maybe every 3 days after I see the light on the case turn red. My preference would have been to give them 4.5 stars. They do suffer from terrible interference from time to time. I haven't been able to figure out what causes it. At first I thought it was proximity to other bluetooth devices. Then I thought it was putting my hand in my pocket over the phone and somehow blocking the signal. I keep my phone in my left pocket and I thought maybe it was my body blocking the signal to the right earbud. But it happens randomly. The only thing that I can pinpoint for sure that causes interference are the anti-theft gates that some stores have at their entrance. The once that sound an alarm as you pass through them if a security tag hasn't been deactivated. Those gates always cause the earbuds to hiccup. My hope is that a firmware update makes them more stable. But to be clear, this type of interference happens maybe 5% of the time that I'm using them.

I'll preface this by saying that I have compared 3 models over these past 2 weeks; the Jabra's, the Sony - WF-1000XM3, and the Bose SoundSport Free. First, I tried the Bose, and I was so blown away at the sound when I started playing music. It truly rattled my brain and shocked me that such big sound came out of these. Then, I got home and made a phone call and was completely deflated when it sounded awful, only in one ear, and just very analogue sounding. Just terrible. So, I went back the next morning to try out the Elites after doing some online research. The reviews were very favorable. I plugged them into my ears in the parking lot and was slightly disappointed that they weren't rattling my brain like the Bose did, but the sound was pretty good. Immediately, I noticed the lower profile than the Bose. With the Bose, I looked like Princess Leah or a martian with something sticking an inch out of my ear. Weird. The Jabra's weren't as comfortable, but were a secure fit in the ear and definitely looked better cradled in my ear. When I got the Sony's (supposedly the best according to the "experts"), I certainly appreciated the feel of the Jabra's. The Sony's didn't feel secure and I kept thinking they were going to fall out (no matter which tip I tried). The next step was to make a call, and I was pleasantly surprised that the call came through clearly and the callee could hear me perfectly without issue. Not so with the Sony's. The callee couldn't hear me at all with the Sony's in. So the Jabra won out big on the call quality. You might be saying to yourself, "But there's no noise canceling." Yeah, but it doesn't matter. With a proper fit/seal, you don't need the gimmicky noise canceling. The me put it this way, the Jabra seals well enough that I couldn't hear my 3 kids trying to talk to me with the Jabra's in. They seal so well that I hear my voice in my head as if I was plugging my ears. The only complain was that the mic pics up every clink and clank when I'm trying to multi-task during work calls. I work from home, so often times, I'm on a call and doing dishes, laundry, cooking, etc, and the callee would complain that it was too loud. For that reason, I thought that the Sony's would be the winner, and I was dead wrong. The callee couldn't hear me on the Sony's at all. It was terribly frustrating. Back to the sound. The Bose rattled my brain, no doubt, with music, but the call quality was terrible. The Sony's didn't have as much volume or punch as the Jabra's with music, and the call quality failed with the Sony's about 75% of the time. The Jabra's sound great! Very rich sound, enough volume for my 46 year old (former DJ'ing) ears. Lot of bass; although, not as much punch as the Bose. Still, much better than my old Apple Airpods, and the clarity is really good with the Jabra. Very pleased overall. Features on the Jabra were great. Bose doesn't really have features to speak of. Sony's features are a little gimmicky, and the Jabra has a nice balance of features that add value to the function. I had to use the EQ to get the amount of bass I wanted and turned up the treble. My EQ is usually similar to a V shape; heavy bass and high treble. The EQ worked well with the Jabra to give me a little more punch. The Bose would win out on total volume and bass, but it's almost too much, even for this old metal head. The Jabra is probably a safer choice for ear health. The case for the Jabra is great. Much smaller than the Sony's and the Bose and you get just as much battery life out of this case as you do the others. The Sony case has a slightly better finish, but it's bigger and won't ride well in my pocket. Bottom line, when comparing these three new products to my old Apple Airpods, Jabra wins.

This was my 3 pair of true wireless earbuds. First all. I loved this pair. Great sound, great noise cancelation, small, light, and great battery. If I liked this pair why did I give it a 2 star. 1 major design flaw. The case. The case dosen't secure the earbud in the case to charge. U lose connection when charging ur earbuds. Ur earbuds stay connected to ur phone and doesn't charge. This happen to me with in 3 month after purchasing these great earbuds. For $189 I want my earbuds to work and last more than 3 months.
