    Worst earbuds I have owned

These headphones are overpriced for what you get. The sound is decent and the connection is horrible. Music cuts out if you bend over or have your head anyway but upright and they lose connection if you are 15 feet or more away from your phone. I am using a Samsung Galaxy S9+. I have followed all directions from Jabra Tech Support including unpairing, uninstall/install app, allowed headphone battery to completely drain, etc. I still get poor results. Not happy with them at all.

    Finally! Good BT multipurpose earphones

After my Samsung Iconx 2018 buds went bad. I came to find out they had been discontinued when I went in to exchange them for a new pair. I was absolutely disappointed Samsung had to do that. So after that, they gave me the option to trade them for a different pair with the amount I had paid for the Samsung's. That's why it's crucially important that insurance is purchased for these type of expensive gear! So I tried some Sony ones that where huge and sucked with the connection quality and phone calls as well. Then my other pair I tried where the Boss sound sport but I hated them because they would be too darn big and also because they didn't have ambient sound. The things I look for in these type of headphones are that they fit nicely and not too bulky, they are decent to listen to music, ambient sound is a must and that the phone call quality is great. These headphones met all those requirements so that's why I gave them 5 stars. They resemble everything the Samsung icon x had except the touch/ swipe gestures. I work as a delivery driver so I'm always on the road. I need to hear traffic, be able to talk on the phone with out picking up my phone and also need to talk with customers so ambient sound is absolutely necessary. I absolutely recommend these earphones.

I loved the sound+functionality - HATED the fit!

I was so looking forward to using these earbuds for work and play: true wireless functionality would give me hands free call capability. I found the sound to be very good, and I loved the app that allowed me to tweak the amount of ambient noise that filters through: this is a huge plus for both driving and running. They allowed me to hear my surroundings and still play music and take calls. I really liked the feature of hearing my voice through the earbuds as well. What I HATED was the fit: admitting the fact that I have always had difficulty in finding earbuds that would fit me properly - I decided to give these a shot. Having the medium sized tips in both earbuds, I found that the left earbud would constantly work its way out and nearly fall out - this on a brisk 7 mile walk. Right earbud didn't pose a problem. I was able to get a tight seal and, for the most part, the earbud stayed put. I attempted the large tip in the left earbud - I couldn't even get it to seal at all. Changing out to the small tip - I had to really screw the left earbud in - making it extremely painful to wear. I also had to frequently re-position the left earbud. Keep in mind - each re-position causes the music / call to automatically pause/stop. I called Jabra to see if they made the Comply Isolation tips available (I have these on my Jaybird Blue Buds and they are wonderful!) and sadly, they are not available. So - I will be returning these after 3 days of heavy test driving (as the left earbud falls out during a walk, I'm not even going to attempt a run with them) only to test drive the Jaybird Run and/or The Bose SoundSport models.

    Titanium color...not so much.

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

These are not silvery titanium like on the box; they are more coppery-gold in color. So if you're coming to Best Buy for the EXCLUSIVE titanium color of the Jabra Elite Active 65t, then prepare for a minor disappointment. Best Buy explains the disparity in color in that the box reads "titanium black". IMO titanium black would be more gunmetal color than coppery-gold, but they were kind enough to open 3 more packages and they were all the same. Not a deal breaker, but not as advertised...the ones pictured on the box are clearly a silvery color. If anyone actually got SILVERY ones, please reply.

Great set of true wireless headphones

This is my first set of true wireless headphones. So far the Jabra Elite Active 65T has been exactly what I wanted (been about a week now). I first tried the Jaybird Run, but they were lacking some features I wanted (phone call in both ears and ability to connect to multiple devices). The Jabra EA65T has all of that, plus full controls on the earbuds. One nice to have feature on these is the auto-pause when removing an earbud. Even better this can be enabled/disabled in the Jabra app. The sound on these has been very good. I'm no audiophile, but using the app I was able to configure the equalizer to my preferences. I've listed to several different types of music and talk radio, and the quality has been great. My only issue so far is that sometimes it takes awhile (20-30 seconds) for the left earbud to connect. I'll have to look to see if it is something in the process I'm using to connect that is causing this. Last comment is the storage/charging case. This is a good, solid feeling case that does not add too much bulk. It is not quite as svelte as the Apple dental floss case, but is ok to have in your pocket for the day.

    Better than Airpods

I tried out the AirPods for a week at the gym and was constantly irritated by either them falling out or the plastic making my ear hurt. These have no problem at all and sound significantly better than the AirPods. Do yourself a favor and invest in these rather than spending money on an overpriced apple product.

    Great features, but average sound

I was pretty disappointed in these. They have a ton of features, which I would never use. But its cool they are there. At first I was really excited, this is the best fitment Ive been able to achieve with truly wireless buds. But the sound is very average. I purchased these for the gym, and was extremely underwhelmed. I honestly have a set of 30 Ankers that sound better. I can’t justify paying almost $200 for buds that don’t wow me in the audio dept.

Hello Glenn - We regret that the Jabra Elite Active 65t sound quality did now "wow" you as it does for our other users. Did you know that we have provided a music equalizer in the Jabra Sound+ app to customize the sound to your liking? We also hope that you were able to try all of the ear gels that were provided with the Elite Active 65t, for the most optimal fit and sound quality. Some users need to mix and match between ears, as no two ears are alike. The ear buds may also need a twist in the ear canal so they sit snug. We hope that you check out the rest of the features in the Sound+ app for full enjoyment. If you have any questions, please contact Jabra Support - we are always here. Thanks for your review! Jabra

    NOT FOR GYM WORKOUTS!!!

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Bought these ear buds for working out after reading through numerous reviews. When I tried them on for the first time they fit great! They connected easily to my Galaxy S7 Edge and didn't drop any signal when playing music. I was convinced I had finally found the best true wireless earbuds... Until I ran them through their first test at my gym. There were dead spots in my gym where the signal on these earbuds would completely drop out. They never played a full song without loss of signal. When I went to the cardio area of the gym they didn't play at all. I contacted the Jabra support team and they explained the fundamental design flaw. The right earbud is connected via blue-tooth and connects to the phone. The left earbud uses a magnetic field connection and connects to the right earbud to sync the music. Large cardio equipment or areas with a strong magnetic field will disrupt the signal between the buds and that is the reason they kept dropping signal... This was explained by the Jabra support team. In short, these earbuds will not work at any gym with cardio equipment or a strong magnetic interference. Will be returning this earbuds today, wish I would've known that before purchasing. Would not recommend for any gym use!

I am a previous owner of the Bose Bluetooth earbuds. I thought they were great. I had tried the Bragi ones prior, not The Headphones but the model immediately prior. I returned those for continuously loosing Bluetooth connectivity but loved the size and look of them. The Bose made a beautiful sound but boy did they stick out and they kept falling out as a result. The Jabra Elite Active 65T are my new best friend! They are the perfect combo of both. I first noticed their sleek design and “in your ear” fit on a bicyclist stopped for a red light. I asked him through my open window what he had on and he said “ Jabra”. When I lost my Bose in the airport, I again was forced to look around. At first I was upset, but no more. It gave me the opportunity to try Jabra. There’s always a silver lining. Great sound quality, and stay put in your ear feel. 5 stars.

    Very Good

In my opinion, the sound quality is a touch below the JayBird Run, but in exchange for that slight compromise in headphones audio you get FAR better audio quality in phone calls and a connection that doesn't drop the left channel every third step you take with the phone in your pocket. They are very good, and some people may get a better seal than I do, making the audio quality on par with the JayBird Runs, I don't know. Still.. I have both, and choose these, they're very good.

    No Sound in Left Earpiece

I recently purchased a pair of the Jabra Active 65T as a backup for my Bose headphones. I was attracted to the features that the app offered for these. After unpacking the buds and updating the firmware, they worked okay. The sound was pretty comparable to the Bose, but Jabra had one up on them by having the ability to customize the sound with an equalizer. Unfortunately, I had to return them the next day because the left earbud kept losing connection or the sound would go out but the button features would still work. I was gonna exchange them for another pair, but ended up buying another pair of Bose because I didn't want to take another chance on another pair of Jabras.

I wanted to love these, they have great sound, amazing sound, great recharge, great lasting power, however the fit just was terrible. Especially if your lifting weights and laying on a bench or crunches, it falls out. I tried all sizes, but none would stay in my left ear ha.

Got mine today from BestBuy. They're great and are basically just a slightly improved version of the "non-active" headphones, but these seem to stay in my ear better. Not sure of the difference yet, maybe the coating? There seem to be three different color schemes available, though not in the same place. BestBuy has black and silver, Frys has black and green, and Amazon has blue and green. Not sure how the activity tracking works yet though. If it's just through the jabra app [as it appears] that isn't entirely useful.

    Connectivity a problem / uncomfortable

I owned the Jabra Sport Elite buds and never had a problem with connectivity, Not sure how Jabara could have missed with a 3rd generation when they already had it figured out but I’ve had all sorts of connectivity issues with these. Went to activate and for the 2nd time today having to go into my setting and “forget the device” and resync (twice yesterday and the day before). I’m fed up, writing a review to ventilate and returning buds tomorrow. In addition, the predecessor Jabara Sport Elite buds came with 8 different ear pieces to choose from to make sure you got a nice comfortable fit. Jabari went on the cheap unfortunately and only provided 3, not nearly as comfortable. Either you have to go with a looser fit and suffer reduced audio quality or go with a fit that’s too tight and uncomfortable. Only positive is these bud have an app that has an equalizer. Big plus but far from making these worth purchasing. Was expecting them to be so much better...big disappointment.

After wearing these for a few workouts the sound was great but they fell out of my ear multiple times. I worked out with the different sizes but couldn’t find one that fit. They worked great for moderate exercise but sprinting and jump roping made them fall out and they never seemed to be very secure

Hello Prosnax, We are glad to hear that you enjoy the audio quality of the Jabra Elite Active 65t. With the 3 differently sized sets of eargels, you should be able to find one that works for you. Please take a look at our video below that shows tips, including the "twist" to seat them correctly into your ears. This will ensure the best stability to hold them in for your exercise. I have finally found a set of true wireless in-ear headphones that are perfect. I tried the Bose, Sony, Apple, and Jailbird and they were all either bulky or didn't sound that great. This pair fits perfectly in the ear, is not bulky, connects every time I take them out of the case, and sound amazing. They are also not crazy looking when I walk around with them and their call quality is very good too. They have an interesting "ambient sound" setting so I can hear the surroundings while I ride my bike which is ideal. I will finally stop my year long quest for a great set of truly wireless headphones.

    One earbud has gone silent

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Within a year of purchasing the left earbud started having volume issues. It would start out of the charger at equal volume to the right earbud and then would start cutting out. Sometimes it would be completely silent and other times it would just be very very quiet. After a long back and forth with Jabra customer service they exchanged my set with a "new" set (likely refurbished). Well, just a few months since then and now the RIGHT ear bud of this new set has gone much more silent compared to the left. I'm not willing to fight with their customer service again over the warranty so I'm cutting my losses and looking for a new brand to try.
