    Broken Promises

I received a set of Jabra 75t earbuds as a 2020 Christmas present from my kids. My youngest bought the product at a local Best Buy. I loved everything about them. The sound quality, the controllability through the app, and the ANC. Had they been even remotely reliable this would be a 5 star review. Sadly, they were not. After six to eight weeks the audio level on the right earbud began to fade out. Eventually, it faded completely. It would revive when the earbuds were reset, but quickly fade again. In the end, zero is what they are worth to me. I contacted Jabra support which led to a three week odyssey as the tech folks led me through a lengthy process trying to debug the ear buds. At the end of the process, they gave up and suggested I submit a warranty claim. The catch was they demanded proof of purchase. Since they were a gift I had no documentation. I called my son (the original purchaser) and he had discarded the receipt. I called Best Buy customer service and the best they could do was offer that my son might be able to get a duplicate receipt by going to the store and scanning his credit card. He lives 2000 miles away. So I have a dead pair of quite expensive earbuds and sour taste in my mouth - about the product and from Best Buy's inability to help resolve the problem. The kids later gifted me a pair of Air Pod Pros. They just work - as Apple's ad copy suggests they will. But, the bad taste the Jabra's left reappears every time I put them in.

Surprisingly excellent item! After trying various other products, all to disappointment, I'm thrilled to have this item turn out to be extremely perfect. Basic: they actually stay in my ears, even if I'm upside down. Advanced: there are numerous subtle fine points that demonstrate clever and exquisite design for both form and function.

Good sound ruined by major software issues

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The sound quality is good, the battery life is okay, but left headphones often will stop working after just a few months. Do some googling and search Reddit and other forums before you buy these. There is a common, recurring, several year old issue; the left ear bud will connect, but won’t play any audio. This bug typically appears in the first year of ownership. The amount of people who mention this should be enough to warrant Jabra and Best Buy pulling the products from their shelves, and maybe even a class action lawsuit. Jabra’s warranty is only three months, so buying these is absolutely playing with fire. Maybe you’ll get lucky and your pair will be fine, but it’s a pretty frequently mentioned software bug, and there’s no fix. Which sucks, because they’re pretty good headphones with great sound quality and a lot of customization options to really dial in the sound to your preferences.

    Left Earbud (Fail)

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Sound is great, but DO NOT UPDATE the earbuds. Your left earbud will start to have connectivity issues. Left earbud either has static, lack of bass, or just does not connect at all. I even received a replacement pair from Jabra. They worked perfectly until I did the update. Galaxy Buds+ are just as good, but lack the bass of Jabras. However, I have never had any connectivity issues with those.

Thump thump thump go my feet

I returned these. I use earbuds for running, and I found the occlusion effect overwhelming. Each footfall registered a thud. Some will say to go to a smaller silicone earpiece, but it did not work for me. It's a shame because in other ways the headset is amazing. Still, not my cup of tea. I have had better luck with the discontinues Plantronics 3200, which is amazing without occlusion. Will be trying the Bose Sport earbuds.

Well... They work, sound great, noise cancelling is a little strange sometimes and makes weird thumping noises. Each one randomly disconnects after a undetermined amount of time and then remains disconnected from your phone. I am using a galaxy s21 ultra. Compare to my Galaxy buds pro they don't even come close.

Always come loose!!! Not worth the money.

These earbuds are ok for your basic use, but they are not worth $180. I do a lot of high intensity workouts and running and the earbuds constantly come loose where I'm always having to adjust them (the right one more than the left). This can be quite annoying when you're trying to focus on your workout/run. They even start to come loose with any repeated jaw movements during talking or eating. The music quality and phone call quality is good IF you are listening on a mobile device. These headphones are not meant for laptops. Anytime I am on a Zoom call with my laptop there is continuous glitching noises and very poor quality sound. They claim to have active noise cancelling technology but I don't think it cancels much at all. I can still hear 90% of noises around me, and it actually heightens some of the noises. I'm 2 days past the return period so I am stuck with these earbuds, but I would return them if I could.

I have always hated Bluetooth headphones because of the battery but honestly because I kept breaking my left side headphones over the years with the cords, I had to make up my mind and go with the Bluetooth headphones I didn't want to spend a lot of money because I wasn't a fan to begin with, but ever since I got these headphones i been in love.

Left Ear Bud stopped playing within a month

I never leave reviews but will for these. Was happy to get them at first. Fit was nice and the sound was good. Almost exactly a month into having them, the left ear bud has stopped playing. Tried everything from resetting, app stuff, making sure the left was charged and connecting; still not playing. It says it’s connected too, just absolutely zero audio. Very disappointed considering how much I paid…

Great earbuds, if only they stayed inside the ear

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I really, really wanted these earbuds to work for me. I wanted something wireless I could wear while running, but could also use for phone calls, Zoom meetings, or listening to music around home, and this fit the bill. These earbuds stayed paired with all of my devices, and they were also able to actively connect to both my Android phone and laptop at the same time. The controls were very easy to get used to. The audio was excellent for playback in particular. I was surprised how far of a range I could get between my phone and the earbuds. Sadly, they simply do not fit me. They would literally rotate and fall out of my ear after 2 minutes of light running, unless I was constantly pushing them back into my ear every 30 seconds. This was not because I was doing anything vigorous or high-impact — it happened on perfectly flat paved sidewalks when my ears were not even breaking a sweat. I tried all of the supplied eargels, extensively. I made sure to place them in my ear as shown in the product video, so that the microphones faced forward. In fact I tried every angle possible when sliding them into my ear and rotating them into place. In case it might have been due to earwax, I even used drops to loosen earwax and then a syringe to flush the ear canals with water, then a couple days later I would try the earbuds again, to no avail. If I was just using them at home, they wouldn't fall out quite the same way, but I did have to infrequently push them into place, and I usually experienced pain after wearing them for an hour or so and had to take them out. For comparison, I've used a pair of Adidas/Sennheiser CX685 wired sport earbuds for years, and they fit wonderfully and I have never had these problems. After some searching online, I am apparently not alone here — many people have reported the same thing. Individuals who also own the Elite Sport 65t said those do not have this problem, and the fit problem seems to be with the earbuds rather than the eargels after trying to interchange them. I returned these to Best Buy yesterday. I am hoping that the next model by Jabra addresses the fit problems. I don't know if a wider variety of eargels would help, or if they could support optional earwings like the Elite Sport 65t. Unfortunately, there was nothing I could do to be able to use the Elite Active 75t, because if they can't stay in the ear then nothing else really matters.
