This movie was not as good as my husand & I expected it to be.

not worth owning. It started with a bang and quickly fizzled

ok movie had issues with transfering digital copy.

Tom Cruise is not a believable tough guy. Some of the action was okay, but the movie would have been much better if they had cast an actually believable leading actor rather than a sniveling pipsqueak that comes up barely past the waist of a normal man.

Tom's not quite a hottie anymore, but he tries real hard to remain eternally youthful. If your like his other work, you'll probably enjoy this one.

A pint sized Jack Reacher, is the first strike, not developing the story was the second..............save your money!!

The trailers would have you believe this is an action film. Not even close.

Bought it for the HDR but it seems that they just put the blu ray version in an HDR container. Looked exactly the an upscaled Blu-Ray.

Great blend of action, mystery, good story. If you haven’t seen it, I would definitely recommend! Looking forward to watching the second one soon!

The idea is ok, and is what made me buy it. But Tom Cruise just sucks, so I would not recommend this.

If you read anything about the Jack Reacher movie, I'm sure you read about that fact Tom Cruise was not the 6'5 blond muscle bound Jack Reacher like the book. I think Tom Cruise pulled this roll off GREAT. I'm not a reader of the series and I can see how fans would be upset but there are not too many 6'5 actors out there who can act like Mister Cruise. I think he was a good choice as Jack Reacher. The movie was well done and very interesting. Its more of a murder mystery then an action movie though so know what your getting into before you decided to buy. I think it is worth a rental for sure and worth a buy if you dig the books and are a big Tom Cruise fan. Solid movie great picture quality on this BR as well!

Jack Reacher somehow provokes two completely separate responses. While playing, it packs a powerful punch and inspires a real "They don't make 'em like this anymore!" enthusiasm. But, outside of its runtime, the cavalcade of crime-solving procedurals across screens big and small unfairly bury the film as a disposable one of many. As the pilot of a television series, it would be monumental. As the first film in a franchise, it would be fantastic. As a standalone movie, it feels like only a piece of something larger. Tom Cruise embodies another memorable character alongside the magnetic Rosamund Pike and a series of strong villains/suspects. Its mystery is well-constructed. Its car chase and various showdowns are surprisingly fresh. The film does its job with incredible skill and is undeniably worth a watch, but it might take the enrichment of a second installment in the series to elevate Jack Reacher to the status of something you will want to revisit time and time again.

While the trailers never made it seem like much, this movie a lot better than you would think. The pacing is reminiscent of a '70s thriller movie, which might be off-putting to some, and the mystery part of the story is done very well and is very intriguing. Tom Cruise gives an excellent performance as he usually does, and Rosamund Pike does well with what she's given. The Zec, who is one of the main villains, is not much of a villain, but Werner Herzog is definitely creepy in the role. It's also frequently funny, which makes the movie all the more enjoyable. Highly Recommended.

Absolutely loved this movie when I first saw it and it only got better in 4k. Feel like this one is forgotten by most, but it's a great slow-burn mystery with a great hero and a great villain. Christopher McQuarrie, who wrote and directed this along with M:I Rogue Nation and Fallout, does an outstanding job as always. The man knows how to put together an action sequence for sure. The car chase here is worth the price alone. Turn those speakers up loud!
