This movie was cool it was okay, enjoyed it but did not have me in suspense or thrilled. I guess after watching the Bourne series and James Bond series over the last few years just felt like you have seen the movie already or more like you knew what was going to happen.

The movie was ok but I was expecting to see more action

I understand that this may have been planned as the first of the rebooted series but there are no great surprises. The acting is just okay and does not provide me with hope that a followup movie would be any better.

With so many wonderful actors in this film, I thought this would be a better plotted movie but it wasn't...sad because this could have been a good movie with better writing.

Kind of a waste of my time, can't recommend this one. Just wasn't what I was expecting, more of the same old same old like a reboot vs the movie I was expecting.

Chris Pine is the 4 actor to play Clancy's CIA operative and he does a fine job. The time line of this story doesn't quite work with the other movies, but that aside it is really enjoyable. It helps remove Sum Of All Fears from memory.

I thought how the writers used a real life tragedy as the motivation for Jack joining the military, and later the CIA was pretty realistic. Keira and Chris had good chemistry together, and she was, in my opinion, the best actress to play Cathy to date. I hope they make more films with this cast.

Shadow Recruit is an entertaining reboot of the Jack Ryan franchise. It works surprisingly well as it is an original story based on Tom Clancy's characters.

Bringing back more movies in the Jack Ryan series. Couldn't go wrong with the first ones, can't go wrong with this one. Fabulous movie.

i liked this movie and so did my mother so i got it for her as a gift.

Chris Pine was great (considering the weak script he had to work with), but the movie was average at best. The Blu-ray picture is reference quality material. The audio gets a nice work out as well, depending on your home theater setup.
