special effects good but more of a rental than a purchased blu ray!

I was expecting more from a big action movie from the director of the better X-Men movies. This movie fell way short.

Jack the Giant Slayer is a good family fantasy film. The story is good, the acting is solid, and most of all direction is perfect. The only gripe I have with the film are a few special effetc in the beginning of the film when Jack's father is telling the story. In my opinion they could have easily been better. I liked the cast a lot they worked exteremly well together and made you feel they enjoyed their work. The story is fun and the 3D is really good. The 3D is not as good as Avatar's but it is still solid and enjoyable.

I love this retelling of Jack and the beanstalk. The CGI giants are awesome and the fact that there is more than one of them makes this movie pretty epic in my opinion. This movie is really fun to watch and can be seen by younger kids too ( 6 yrs. and older).

I liked this movie, but didn't know what to expect before watching. It was well done and the lead actor did a good job. CGI was good and had a decent amount of fantasy action. I wish I saw it in theaters, but glad I got it on Blu.

It's pretty much a guarantee that if you grew up with fairy tales, you would certainly know the story of Jack and The Beanstalk. The 3D is fairly unspectacular, In through the whole entire film and out when least expected. Very enjoyable nonetheless, it's recommended.

A great retelling of the classic Jack & The Beanstalk with more emphasis on action and thrills than pacing or plot, but over all an enjoyable film.
