The story line is clear and characters are entertaining. There was a lot of action and drama for a science fiction. Gives a whole new light to the fairytale. Left the back door open for a follow on.

This movie had just the right mixture of action and adventure. The hero had just enough weaknesses to be human and strength to overcome all obstacles to achieve a victory.

Wow, This is a modernist version of Jack and the beanstock. It impressed me. The story has a dark side the original tale does not have. The giants are actually eating people. If you like an updated take on a classic tale you will like this. I think it's worth a look see.

A fairy tale brought vividly to life> McGregor more or less revives his Obi wan Kenobi and that is definitely not a negative. it has the merit of being rewatchable.

I like that it is real people and not a cartoon. The blu ray has many cool features. It is a wonderful version of the story. It has one short gross part.

Hollywood has made "remakes" for so long, its nice to see them take characters and make their own, new story. Very fun film that I will enjoy over and over.

This movie is an upscale version of the original Jack and the Beanstalk tale. I purchased the 3D movie which made watching it much more enjoyable.

An old story told in a fresh way. The Giants are scary, the scenery is beautiful, the costumes and castles are very beautiful. You'll be laughing through the movie and then on the edge of your chair. Very good movie. I loved it.

Not 5 star but a solid 4 stars. The only thing I didn't like was the cg giants looked fake. Ask not from whence the thunder comes!

My whole family likes this movie. Great story told well. With a new twist to it. I've never heard this story told like this before.Every thing looks so real and life like. Now I wish I would have went to the movies to see it.

I was really hoping this would be a great fun movie based on the previews I saw, but it was not as good as I hoped. It's ok and I did enjoy it, but I won't be watching it again anytime soon. My grown daughter felt the same way. You definitely have to watch it in 3D or half the fun would be lost, for sure. Ewan McGregor has kind of a monotone role. Overall good, one-time movie, but don't expect greatness.

The movie was lots of fun. Watch with the whole family, the kids loved it. Great new twist to the old we really enjoyed it.

This movie brought the old fairytale to life, with minor adjustments. However, this is one of my kids favorite movie because it's not scary but has some exciting parts in it. Good family movie
