    Long run time, but…

Purchased this recently as my previous power source for my telescope died right before the solar eclipse. It charged quickly, but when I plugged in the 12v cord to my telescope - no power. I called the company and was told the 12v output couldn’t handle the amperage of my telescope. They suggested I plug my old power source into the AC out and that should work. It did and I got through about six hours of eclipse watching and only used 25% of the battery. That part was encouraging. Overall, a great power source, just be sure you know the 12v source can only handle about 4 amps.

Easy to set up and use, I like that it’s not to heavy to carry around. I took it with me to a festival and was able to change any devices I needed. I was also able to use it for an iron. It lasted 2 days on one charge, and the solar panels made it easy to charge while I was gone from the camp site.

This is so useful I bought it for our long days out at the baseball field. Comes in so handy especially when there isn’t any power outlet available after a couple hours. Would definitely recommend and love that it came with solar panel to charge.

I’m in love with my purchase from Best Buy! This portable power solar generator by Jackery was exactly what I needed to power my tv and charge my phone during a bridal show expo. Light, compact and effective, this no-fuss setup was a breeze and easy to charge. I love the features and the solar panel that that came with my generator. I’ve recommended this product to my family and friends and will definitely purchase more Jackery products. I’m a loyal Best Buy customer for life!

    Beginning Prepper

My son is a "prepper". While I don't buy into all his ideas. I do recognize that it wouldn't hurt to be prepared. If nothing else, it would be good for bad weather and power outages. I charged the Jackery with it's included 40w solar panal. It worked. It took several hours (Maybe 6? to charge 50%) I bought a 100w panel and tried it. It worked much faster. (less than 3 hours.) I love the screen on the Jackery. When you plug something in, it tells you what the usage is and how long the Jackery can run that item. (Laptop approx 2 hours, small desk top fan over 24hrs.) when you are charging it, it tell you how long it will take to charge. I was disappointed that the unit is not strong enough to use a coffee maker or hot plate. That is due to my ignorance on what those items need. All in all, I am pleased with the Jackery. I have alreay used it to do work on my laptop outside, charge my phone and run a fan at the beach.

Dear customer, thank you for taking the time to share your detailed experience with the Jackery E300Plus + 40W Mini! We are glad to hear it has worked well for you in various scenarios, including using it for your laptop, phone, and fan. We appreciate your feedback on the charging speeds—it's great to know the 100W panel worked faster for you. We also value your comments about the display; we designed it to make it easier for customers to track their power usage and charging time. As for your experience with the coffee maker and hot plate, we understand these devices require higher power outputs. For those kinds of devices, we recommend considering the Jackery E1000 V2, E2000 V2 or higher-powered products, which are better suited for providing stable power to high-wattage appliances. If you’re interested in these options, feel free to contact us, and we’d be happy to help you choose the right product based on your needs. We’re pleased that Jackery has met your expectations overall, and we’re happy to hear it's becoming a reliable tool for your preparation needs. If you ever need assistance or advice, feel free to reach out to our customer service team ([email protected] / +1-888-502-2236, Weekdays 9AM to 5PM PST). Thank you for choosing Jackery! Jackery

I bought this as a gift for my son, who’s currently living the van life in a converted medical bus. When plugged in, it charges quickly and powers his devices just as expected. It’s not a heavy-duty unit, so it won’t run large appliances like a refrigerator, but it’s perfect for laptops, phones, fans, and similar electronics. I gave it four stars instead of five because the included solar panel is only 40W — it does charge the unit, but he’ll likely upgrade to a more powerful panel down the line.

A Must-Have for Camping and Emergencies

Absolutely worth the investment. I originally purchased this for camping, and it exceeded my expectations. During our 4-day trip, it was used daily to top off three air mattresses and charge multiple devices, including cell phones and Apple Watches. By the end of the trip, the battery was still at 60%—and we never even had to use the solar panel. Fast forward a month to monsoon season: we experienced a power outage, and I realized I hadn’t recharged the generator since the camping trip. It was still sitting at 60%, yet it powered a stand-up fan for about 1–2 hours, giving us much-needed relief on a hot, humid summer night. It truly was a lifesaver. Now, my friends and family are all interested in getting one too.

Honestly, there’s not much I can really say, besides that it works really good. It’s reliable. The solar panel does A good job charging The unit pretty quick. I connected to 18 V batteries to charge them and 140 V battery and it did a pretty good job on all three. And still had about 25% life left in it.. .

Great storage battery for smaller devices. My wife and i use it to keep our phones charged and a small fan running while we are at various vendor events and have had no problems. The only reason i gave this 4 instead of 5 stars, the solar panel flops alot does not have any type of stand to help aim the panel at the sun. And you will discover a slight change in angle, will strongly effect how well the panel supplies power to the battery pack. In conclusion. Battery, great! Panel works, but not well.

I love this generator. I originally bought it during a snowstorm when the Texas power grid went out, and it was incredibly convenient to have during that time. Since then, I’ve continued using it regularly. I love that you can charge it normally or use solar panels, which makes it really versatile. I also use it for camping — we bring our laptops, watch movies, and charge everything right on the generator. It’s been reliable and super easy to use.

Bought this because the power was out for 3 days after a storm. It powered my CPAP machine and a fan all night and barely used half the charge. It's really well made and solid, but easy to carry around and charge.

It exceeds my expectations. I live in a one bedroom apartment and this unit has plenty of power to get me through a 48 hour power outage, while maintaining my refrigerator, allowing me to play video games, and stay up on the current event. It even has an SOS setting that is extremely practical. I believe it was a good purchase in order for me to stay connected while things go crazy. I have only tried the solar panels during shady periods of the day, and I have not been able to generate much energy on those days. I did try it when I had power to my apartment and it was a sunny day and I do believe that the solar panels are adequate enough to keep my power requirements during inclement time frames.

When I was living in my car, I plugged a heated blanket into this Jackery Explorer 300, and on low, that heated blanket stayed on for the duration of my sleep cycle. I would go to the library during the day to charge my Jackery, and then sleep in my car at night. This method did not keep me super warm, but between the heated blanket on low and the sleeping bag, I stayed warmer than I would have without it. I was thankful it was a warm winter.

Lost power 2 days after purchase and this item worked great to keep our phones active, required for some medical needs, and allowed us to have a couple of fans to keep it cool while waiting for power to come back.
