    Good for what it is

Needed an inexpensive speaker for a small office space. A little tinny with not great bass. But to play in the background it is just fine.

Please stay away from this, it's total junk

I purchased the Jam-Plus on July 10, 2014 at Best Buy store #1397. It seemed to work as described when I tested, so I unfortunately through away the box preventing me from returning this. The second week I owned it, I charged it overnight and tried using it with my computer to listen to some work videos. Listening to work stuff was my primary reason for the purchase because the speakers on my Notebook just don't work all that well. It worked fine for 15 minutes then went dead. I thought I charged it incorrectly, so this time I left it hooked up to my USB port for two full days. When I tried it again, it died again after just 15 minutes. that in itself makes this thing worthless. I decided to just leave it plugged in all the time after that. After all, I can't return it and since I'm stuck with it, I may as well try to use it for something. On the third day, it again started to turn off after just 15-20 minutes, while attached to the USB port. This is a real piece of junk. I would strongly recommend that you stay away from this and all Jam products. If one is inconsistent, the probably all are. at the very least, hold on to your receipt and box so you can return it when it dies on you... And I am sure it will. Buyer Beware.

Do not use this with your phone . It whipped out all my contacts in the first 5 minutes of use . Ok to use with iPods but that's all!!!!

    Poor speaker quality

This is my second one, after returning the first Jam Plus due to rattling sound from the speaker. The quality is not there, I read all the reviews here thinking that maybe the speaker is good to keep, but not in my case unfortunately. The speaker would distort and rattle at about 70% volume, which is unacceptable. I tried turning off all the eq from sound source but it was no fix. If you want to take your chance by all means go ahead, but don't say I did not warn you.

    Do Not Purchase

I have returned three of these. First turned off then would never turn on. Second one would not charge and randomly shuts off. Third one would only sync to IPhone and not my IPad. Very unreliable Don't Purchase.

this is the 2nd time in 5 months I will have to return an HDMX Jam speaker to Best Buy. the first (a mimi Jam), failed after about 3 months, the charger would not connect. the 2nd (a Jam Plus) failed after a measly 1 month of using it. The charger again, will not work. IT SUCKS.

I have tried everything. The Geek Squad tried to help as well. It work the firs time it was installed. Not when you plug the sub system tell you bad plug in. For an expensive speaker it is not a good buy.
