The Bourne Addendum
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Matt Damon's fourth entry in the Bourne series is, unfortunately, his weakest. The formula is very familiar: another CIA boss barks orders from a control room filled with monitors where they try to track Jason Bourne's whereabouts; all the while, Bourne says very little as he stays one step ahead of his pursuers. And as we've seen before, a female CIA agent inexplicably takes pity on him and shows him mercy. The action scenes are entertaining, especially the one on the Vegas strip, but the movie doesn't add much to Bourne's story except to try to convince us that choosing to become a killer wasn't his fault. Overall, I'd give it a passing grade. On the technical side, I can only review the BD because I don't yet have equipment that can handle UHD or DTS:X. The projected image looked fine in HD resolution on my 120" screen, and the 7.1 DTS-HD MA soundtrack really rocked the house. Recommended purchase for fans only. Otherwise, rent it.
