Best sounding bluetooth sport earbuds BY FAR

These bluetooth earbud head phones are BY FAR the best sounding on the market. Have tried them all. They are great at the gym as well. I can go over 30 feet away from sound device via bluetooth with little or no signal loss. It is a bit tricky to get the right fit - takes a little while to fiddle with different ear piece parts - but if you get a good fit and they are snug - the bass and sound are equal to many high end wired earbuds. Most other sport sweatproof bluetooth earbuds do not come close. Would have given 5 stars except plug for usb charger port so difficult to snap in - not sure why they did this since the plug cover itself is a great design. If you want a perfect snug fit you will have to go with an over the ear wrap around neck product - Motorola Flex HD is great for fit, sound, and bluetooth distance but is second place for overall sound quality compared to Jaybird.

I would stick with Bose. Disappointed with the product. The quality of the sound gets bad when my phone is in my back pocket.

    Great Headphones

I read all the reviews, and decided to pick these up. Great product, don't regret the purchase at all. Have had them for a couple of months now. I researched thoroughly before I went and got them, so I had a couple of concerns. I have had no problems. They fit great, others have problems, I don't. I tried different combinations before I found the perfect fit, but now they are perfect. TAKE THE TIME TO GET THE RIGHT FIT. I use them in the gym and cross training daily, they don't fall out and work perfectly. Sound quality is fantastic, best of any headphone I have ever used. Can you get better? Im sure, but I can't have over the head earphones, and workout, I bought these to not have a cord to pull on them, so for what they are, they are hands down the best. I have tried other ear buds that I thought were "really good" and I can tell you this is a whole new level. As far as cost, I am not going to list this a "con". They cost what they cost. If you want the best quality and convenience you are going to pay for it. I knew that going in. I am going to try some high quality foam tips, but this can only improve an excellent product. As far as range, they have a good distance, not an issue for me, I have my iPod in my pocket most of the time. Battery life is fine, i have gone a couple days with them not charged, I just make sure to shut them off when not working out. Not an issue for me as I don't listen to them all day, usually an hour a day working out and I plug them in every night. Have used them for multiple hours working in the yard, no problem. Again, I plug them in every night, as I use them every day, just have the charger next to my phone, same concept, daily use, nightly charge. Controls are great. I set playlists for my iPod and I turn it on when I start working out. Never pull it out of my pocket. If I want to skip a song, its simple, hold the button and it skips. Easy control layout, works perfect, skip, go back, pause, and volume all on the in-line control, easy to use, buttons laid out well. Again, I never even pull my iPod out, I do it all from the headphones. I hate fumbling with headphones, cords, iPods, phones, etc... when I am working out. Those days are gone. These are perfect for activity. Bottom line, if I lost these, or my kid breaks them, etc..., I am getting in my car and going to buy them again. Highly recommended.

I bought these for my boyfriend who used them mainly for working out. These headphones were very easy to use right away. The volume is great. I gave it 4 stars because of the price and he said they fell out a few times while he was working out.

The King of ALL BT headsets

OK, so, I have owned every BT headset made over the last 5 years, and, prior to these, I had rated the Bose BT2 as the king of all headsets..well, move over Bose, here is the new king! Yeah, they are stereo, yeah, they fit perfectly, yeah the sound is incredible, yeah they are worth the 170 dollar price tag.. Great battery life, easy charging, high quality materials, packaging, accessories, owners manual, I could go on and on.. I can't imagine a better BT headset for you; sure, you may not want to wear these in a board meeting, or for visiting clients, but, aside from that, you will wear these all your waking hours. The main problem is now my wife wants a set too, and she is not one that is easy to please when it comes to BT headsets! They go fast, so make sure you call your local BB store before you go. I tried 3 stores that all showed them "in stock", but by the time I got there, they had sold out.

    Headphones For Exercising

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I purchased these because I wanted bluetooth headphones for working out. I am a regular visitor at the gym and wanted buds with longest battery life that didn't have the collar around your neck and a warranty against sweat. The initial sticker shock of paying $170 for headphones hurts... until you use them. These sound better than most headphones I have used. Considering they are playing the music over bluetooth this is pretty amazing. The range is awesome, I can leave my phone across the gym and still have a great connection and the music sounds perfect. They come with three different sizes of actual ear buds and the wing that holds the bud in your ear. I chose to use the over the ear configuration and the directions made it very simple to set up. Pairing it with your phone is really easy too as the headphones tell you they're on and when its connected to your device. In all these are awesome and worth the investment if you're going to use them.

    Expected a Better Fit

I was in the market for a pair of bluetooth headphones to use while working out. I came upon these JayBird headphones because they were on sale for $129 last week. I used them for a little over a week, and I was disappointed with how they felt in my ears. I tried changing the tip, and used the various wing pieces, but nothing seemed to feel right in my left ear. When I would finally get it oriented to where it felt secure, my ear would ache to a point where I wanted to take it out. On the plus side, it connected to my phone, iPod, and computer without an issue. However, it seemed to be more difficult that necessary in turning the headphones off. I charged them initially, and tried them out immediately following the charge. They worked well. Then I went to work the next day, tried on the headphones, and within the next 10 min I received the voice message that the battery was low. That was lesson one in making SURE you have them turned off. They make it easy to check this, which is nothing more then clicking the plus or minus on the phone control piece, and seeing if the light on the one of the buds lights up. In doing this though, I felt as if I had to twist and turn the buds around to see the light, not paying enough attention to which bud had the light source. All in all, I would say these headphones do what they say, and they will do it quite well. However, the feel in my particular ears was not what I expected for a $150+ pair of headphones.

    Epic earbuds!

I've had every earbud bluetooth headset under the sun (6 different ones to date# and have always had something I didn't like about them #battery life, sound, comfort, durability). For the first time in wireless earbud history someone got it right. These headphones by far exceed any I've had to date. Epic sound, super comfy, and good battery life. Haven't had them long enough to rate durability. It did tatke a little while to get them to fit snug but all in all Jaybird nailed it!

    Wont stay in my ears

I had very high expectations for these headphone because everything I read had positive reviews. Unfortunately none of that matters if I cant keep them in my ears. I tried every configuration possible during my 15 day deadline before having the option to return them and to my disappointment I could not succeed. And this is when I was using a stationary bike at the gym. Heaven forbid If I wanted to jump rope which was my original intent for use when buying. I could not phantom running with these things. On the plus side the sound quality is above average.

With the mixed reviews, I almost didn't buy these. Was even told by an employee that they were just,"ok". THESE ARE GREAT! Shocked that the BASS is so good. The mids and highs are crystal clear. Although the experience is subjective, I think these are better than my Bose. As long as they hold up, I AM HAPPY!!!

Died the next day! --NOT SWEAT PROOF--

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

They operated fine the first day, but the next day they wouldn't turn on. I did the same, sweaty routine I regularly put my Jaybird Freedoms through. They worked fine throughout, and still showed a strong charge when I turned them off (didn't bother charging them overnight). Yet the next day, unlike my JB Freedoms, they wouldn't turn on. I tried putting them to charge, and the red charge light came on. Yet even after several hours, it never turned to green (to indicate a full charge). I let them sit a couple days just in case and tried again, but to no avail. If you ever plan to sweat or might get caught outside in the rain, be prepared for heartbreak. On another note, a LOT of noise is magnified into the earpieces when the cord rubs on you neck or collar (again, not really a problem with my JB Freedoms). The over-the-ear approach is needed to mitigate it. Also, I found that the buds seemed slick and didn't want to stay in my ears. The seal would gap, reducing the sound quality. The volume buttons step larger than I would like (controlling volume directly on the phone) and beep a gap over whatever your're listening to. To get the right volume, I often had to control it from the phone. I did like the voice notices, battery meter on my phone, long battery life, better range, and sleek style. I'm also glad that they faltered fast so that I can still return these costly dud buds.

The Bar Has Been Risen For Bluetooth Earphones!

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I received my first pair of buds the other day and I had a hard time getting these to work. After talking to Jaybird online, we found that the pair I purchased was bugged. I went back to BestBuy to exchange them, and I have been blown away for the past few hours now. Sound quality is good, not great (i have great earbuds, topping $600, so I know great sounding music when I hear it, however; most people would say these earphones are great for their ears.) Battery indicator on the iPhone lets the owner know how much life your buds have left. This is very nice as my old Jawbone use to have this too. The price is a little high for some at $170... but you definitely get what you pay for, and what you get is an amazing set of bluetooth earbuds that has set the bar way high. I would be shocked if, within a years time, a competitor makes a product better than these besides Jay Bird themselves. I highly recommend these if you are in the market for some bluetooth earphones.

I am on my second set of JayBird products. To be honest I have had to replace both sets of phones once but the people at JayBird exchanged them no questions asked. No hassle at all. My first set was the Freedom Spirit and then I bought the BlueBuds X. Having to replace them was well worth the hassle because of the convenience, great sound, and really good battery life.

I have had these headphones for over 6 months using them for running and sometimes housework around the house. Pros: sound, convenience, long battery life Cons: provided ear buds slip out, hard time getting them fit right to my ear I had to buy foamy "Comply" replacement ear buts to keep them in on Amazon.
