Best and only bluetooth headphones worth buying

I have tried almost every Bluetooth headset made and none of them are worth keeping. I returned them all. These are "The Best" in every way. They are comfortable, they sound great, they stay in your ears when working out, the connectivity is great, the batteries last forever. I run or workout in these 4 to 5 times per week and have had no issues whatsoever. My wife does the same and loves them as well. I found these on sale for a great price on Best Buy and when the wife tried them I had to get her a pair. We have both been using them for a month and couldn't be happier with them. I have always had high end wired earbuds like Shure and Etymotics because I like a good, accurate sound when listening to music but they are not good for running or other physical activities but the Bluebuds X are "game changers". If you are active and love to hear music or listen to audiobooks, etc while exercising, doing chores, cleaning the pool, or whatever makes your life great then just buy these and forget about any other pair of headphones - you won't regret it. I don't usually get excited about something like headphones but ...THESE THINGS ARE AWESOME!

Excellent sound for a lightweight bluetooth set

I like the fit of the earphones. They really do stay in once you have adjusted it to your liking. They pretty comfortable to wear for several hours. Do not have to worry about breaking them since they are pretty durable though they seem flimsy. The sound quality is amazing in comparison to other bluetooth headsets. The only bad side is the price but it seems well worth it.

I have had many different styles of headphones and ear buds. These are by far the best. Battery life is amazing. Sound quality is incredible. And I can wear these ear buds for hours at a time without much in the way of discomfort. I wear them in an industrial environment and have been covered in sweat without one issue. I have had them for a year now. I am not kind to them, I throw them in the bottom of my lunch box with water bottles, ipad and other heavy objects. Pull them off of my neck by one side, sometimes pulling kind of hard. They stand up to the toughness test. SO...... If you're looking for a "tough as nails", great sounding and comfortable set of ear buds, BUY THESE!

So I just bought these today and I'm listening to them as I write this review. First off I want to make it clear that the base on these is good. I'm not sure why I see some people say the base is not that good or lacks. They sound pretty good. After just a 5min read of what size is best for you you'll love them. The boxing is good and feels like quailty. I like voice that let's you know when your connected. I use large tips with medium wings. What can I say... they perform as advertised. Happy customer

    Perfect wireless headset

The Blue Bud X was easy to set up and paired rapidly with all my bluetooth devices. The sound is deep and crisp. No drop off until the walls blocked the line-of-sight. The fit is fine, easy to insert in the ear. The flat, no-tangle cord makes life much easier. Highly recommended.

    Great earbuds; experiment with tips

I was looking for earbuds that I could wear while running and ideally wanted something that would be wireless as well as be comfortable when running. At first, I tried to use the earbuds with the additional wingtips (designed to further help keep these in your ears). Unfortunately I could never get those to fit right and feel comfortable; In fact, i feel like they made them more unstable. I should have thought this as I had the same issue with the Bose earphones I used to have. I almost gave up on these after my first 2 runs but then just decided to take out the wingtips and that has made all the difference. I have been running with them for 2 weeks with the longest run being 8 miles and have not had any problems with them coming out. If anything, I only need to adjust them once or twice. As for audio, I'm not an audiophile, but these sound fantastic to me. No problems with connections and super easy to set up.

My 2nd pair. 1st pair was great; sound quality amazing and great range. I can leave in downstairs in bedroom and here it in my kitchen upstairs perfectly. However, I am VERY ANNOYED with my second pair. I purchased about 75 days ago and the battery or device is dead now. Died at the gym last night. I used to recommend these to everyone. Depending on how my return works out, I may still.

    Best Bluetooth Headphones for Running

I did a 12 mile run a few days ago with Jaybird Bluebud X headphones and they stayed secured in ear the whole time. I was sweating a good amount to live up being sweat proof. I read plenty reviews about not fitting right or complaints about the ear buds. I played around with all the sizes for a good 20-30 minutes bobbing around and wiggling my head like a rock star. They stayed put through the test. Some people said it didn't have enough bass or it sounded flat. I'm using a iPod touch and adjusted the EQ to my preference and the sound is fantastic! I'm using these for the Boston Marathon this year! I hope this review helps your decision. On to my next run!

    Best Bluetooth Headset I've Had

I have the JayBird Freedom Bluetooth headset, and I thought those were good. That is until I got the BlueBuds. I cannot believe the sound that comes out of these little things. And, they get 8 hours of great sound to boot. They have a deep, rich sound that you expect from a good wired set. They have the same controls as most wired sets with a mic, pause, volume, next, and back. They are also a great phone headset. Your music pauses when a call comes in. It also shows a battery meter on my iPhone 5 when they are connected. I don't write a lot of reviews. In fact, this may be my first. But I just had to write about the BlueBuds. Like I said, I also have the Freedoms, and although they are good......My new Bluebuds are just so much better.

Subjective to the contour of your ears

After purhasing these headphones and watching the youtube tutorial, it took atleast an hour to find a comfortable fit using the tips and the hooks. However when working out, the over ear option seemed better. Unfortunately when I started sweating on a stationary bike, it felt like the rubber tips were slipping out of my ear canals, losing a seal and I could hear external sounds creeping in. It affected the quality of my workout having to constantly push the tips in. It was even more uncomfortable during weight lifting and laying flat on the bench. Even with the tips in, the sound quality was subpar. I returned these headphones and upgraded to the beats powerbeats2 wireless. After 3 trips to the gym with the powerbeats2, I feel these provide a secure fit while working out and the sound quality is much better than the jaybirds. Actually I feel like my workout quality have increased from the powerbeats due to blocking out external sound, better quality sound and secure fit.

What I have been wanting in bluetooth

There are probably headsets that outperform on comfort, on sound or battery life. But, I can't believe there is a product that is better at all three. This is my third bluetooth set of earbuds for running. The first were the plantronics, which were comfortable, but broke in several places (design flaws) and didn't last very long. The second was an earlier set of Jaybirds (developed a rattle and were too big). These are expensive, but if you run a lot they are worth it. I can't use Apple's new ear buds (they are too fat), with these I found a good fit.

I was somewhat apprehensive about in-ear isolating Bluetooth headphones. I was concerned they might not fit well and would fall out on runs. Fortunately, these fit me adequately, stay put, and have excellent sound (for Bluetooth). If you're concerned about fit, I would recommend ordering a multi-size (S, M, L) 3-pack of Comply T-500 memory foam tips just in case. I started with the large BlueBuds tips, but switched to the medium Comply tips when they arrived (ordered elsewhere). I'm happy with them, but would have been happy with the original/included tips.

I purchased these headphones about 6 months ago and could not be happier! They are very comfortable and connect to my iPhone flawlessly. I can not believe how Amazing the sound quality is that comes out of such little speakers. And the battery life lasts about a week which I find Amazing since it is so small. They cost a little more than other bluetooth headsets but definitely worth the extra $$$ because of the quality and sound. I would definitely but these again !p

Overall the headphones are great. bass is a little lacking, especially if you cannot get a good seal with the various earbuds. but overall the quality is very good and the freedom it allows being wireless is worth the money. If you want more bass, you may want to try these out before buying them due to the price.

I previously had the older Jay Birds and enjoyed them for over an year and since i didnt have no warranty at BB i called to Jay Bird directly. They were so nice and helpful and told me to just pay the difference and send me these new and improved ones. I gotta say i had them for over an year and still sounds great and the battery life is great too. You can control your Android device unlike the beats and these are more affordable too. The only complain i have is the wire is adjustable, but a little too long other than that its a great purchase with great warranty.

Tried several Bluetooth buds including the Plantronics backbeat go (sound was terrible), and the JayBird JF3's which have signal strength issues and look funny... After 5 minutes with the Bluebuds X, it was clear that these are for real. Sound Quality blew me away, fit was perfect even without the wings, and no issues with signal dropping out with the phone in my pocket. Call quality with my Samsung S3 was perfect. Sounds Que's, and instant pairing tops off a perfect set of buds. Haven't charged them yet, so haven't been able to confirm the 8 hour battery life claims It's clear down to the micro usb cable, that someone is finally serious about bud quality. The price is high, but it's clear that these buds currently #1. So they are priced right for now since they can't keep them on the shelves. Sold out completely in Houston. Now, if they would develop a 100% cordless solution, that would rock!

I never thought I would pay $169.00 for a pair of headphones. I wanted an awesome sounding pair of headphones and bluetooth as well. I had the Best Buy brand Rocketfish headphones, but they were about 3 years old and wearing out. I wanted something light weight and sleek. These headphones BLEW ME AWAY. The bass is amazing and I hate earbuds because after about 45 min in with any previous earbuds they started hurting....but not with these. They are very , very light and they stay in place after a 45 minute run and a 50 min weight lifting session. They are a bit pricey, but I feel now that i have them, they are worth every penny. People at work were very skeptical but after listening to them, one of my coworkers actually returned is Beats earbuds and got these. They really do sound that great, and they are bluetooth and sleek looking....cant beat it!!!

Best bluetooth out right now for sports enthusiast

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

As an avid sports enthusiast and competitive basketball player, I needed a bluetooth headset which is light weight, has a good battery life, and fits my ear which usually has trouble with any in ear rubber tips. I have had the Jaybird Freedom and currently have the Bose MIE2i. I will breakdown the advantages it has over both and what makes it stand out and any short comings. Design 4/5 This has to be the best looking bluetooth headset out right now. It is not overly bulky when worn in the ear, but it does not exactly fit as flush as the Bose MIE2i which is expected seeing it has to house the electrical components and battery. Compared to the Jaybird Freedoms, it blows them out of the water. The reduction in size makes a big difference aesthetically and you can tell they took that into consideration. Overall, there is not much to complain about. Fit 4/5 The Jaybird Freedoms would not fit in my ear no matter which ear tips I used and regardless of the wing tips that are included. I was not enthusiastic about how the Bluebud X would fair seeing my luck with any in ear tips usually fail. The only exception is with the Bose MIE2i which fit perfectly and is hands down the best in ears out right now with their gel tips. Much to my surprise, these actually fit in my ear with or without wearing the wing tips that are included. They are comfortable and do not fall out at all. Constantly with the Freedoms, after sweating and doing basketball drills, I would always have to readjust the fit which becomes annoying. I have only used these once so far, but I put them to the test. I only adjusted them twice in a two hour period! The first time was because my shoulder knocked one out when doing pull ups and the other was just out of a habit of being use to adjusting it! I wore them as the traditional fit which hangs on your neck and as the modified over the ear which uses two "cord managers" to give you are more behind the head fit which doesnt allow the cord to dangle at all. Ill get to that next. Overall, the fit exceeded my expectations. X Fit and Cord Effectiveness 5/5 First, let me say the cord on the Freedoms was horrible when it came to working out in sleeveless tank or basketball jersey. Once you began to sweat the cord would stick to your skin and when you turned your head either way, one side would pull out of your ear. I emailed Jaybird and they gave me the "we tested this and different designs and found this to be the most effective one selected" response. Well, someone got the idea to either change the material of the cord and/or included the idea of the X-Fit which allows you to bring the cord up and behind your head away from your neck. I have not used the method of allowing the cord to dangle on your neck at all so I cant speak to how effective it is when sweating, but the X-Fit works great! The instructions were clear enough and it only took a few minutes to set it up properly in one try. I wont even try to work out with it any other way. The earbuds stayed secure in my ears when training and you could barely notice I had them on from behind. So sleek and I love it. Glad they addressed this issue in some way. Some people may say why not just make it X-Fit only and not give an option? Well, I feel some will want it some wont all the time, but it leaves it open to each individual. Overall, the X-Fit was the way to go with me. Battery Life _/5 Not sure how to rate this since I havent tested it extensively enough. There is an battery indicator on my Iphone 5 for the headset which is awesome, and I used it right out of the box. I could not tell by the end of my two hour work out if it had been drained at all! So far it performs way better than the Freedoms especially seeing how much smaller it is. Warranty 5/5 Jaybird always offers a lifetime warranty against sweat. They live up to it. When I had the Freedoms, I had to replace it twice within two years, and it was hassle free. I received a new pair in the packaging. I expect them to hold up to their warranty the same with these. Cant beat this warranty. Sound 4/5 The sound is much improved on these. I mind you that the bass is not very heavy in these. Clarity seems to be the idea behind the design of these. Its not a downside just something to take into consideration. They even cancel out a little noise from your surroundings but not too much. Price 3/5 For $170.00 unless you are one who does not think budgeting is necessary, this is a little steep. I would have preferred $120.00 max. I can only assume they are charging for packaging which is top notch and all the features they boast about. I was fortunate to have caught this on sale here for $101.00, so I only bought this because of that. Apparently there is a market for those who want to spend 170 but to each his own. Are they worth it? Maybe. But it can be argued they could have charged less for what you get. Overall, I would advise anyone who wants to pay the amount to buy these. If you hate heavy bluetooth headphones when working out, running, biking, or whatever your passion is these are great. I wont need another pair of bluetooths for working out as long as these are out.

Good sound but they won't stay in my ears

I emailed Jaybird for advice and they sent new ear pieces for me to try, but I cannot get these earbuds to stay in my ears. I'm a runner and have always used earphones with ear hooks but I cannot even walk with these in. They actually hurt the cartilage of my ears and feel heavy on the outside of my ear - they are much bigger than I'm used to and stick out quite a bit from my head. The sound is good but until they make them smaller with reliable, more secure hooks, they are a waste of money for me.
