Sadly, I ended up returning these to the store. The sound quality was great, when the buds stayed in my ears. The ear hooks did their job - I jogged upwards of a half mile without them physically falling from my ears, however in the first 4-5 steps when I started running, the buds would pop out of my ears. I tried all 3 size combinations, and had no luck getting them to stay in. It all depends on the fit, for some people these will work great. No problem pairing with my Droid phone, and working the controls while I ran, but the ear buds just wouldn't stay in. Best Buy customer service was helpful in both the purchase and the return.

I had the Freedom headphones before these, and I love the size and battery life of these so much more! I use them almost everyday at the gym and have no problems!

I bought these as the Powerbeats 2 did not fit me really well and didn't have great sound, regardless of the earbud size I used. The Jaybird BlueBuds X have great encompassing sound and stay in place, and last 2 hours longer than the Powerbeats 2. At first, I didn't think the JBB X would fit me, but I found that you just need to place them slightly tilted down in your ears rather than straight in horizontally. Once I got the fit, I'm really glad I didn't return them.

I got these headphones as a gift about a week ago, and today was my first day working out with them. The last week i have been using them outside of working out, and they are great. Sound is a lot better than i expected; i expected a lot more skipping than I have experienced. It took me a while to get the right combination of ear pieces and secure fit sizes because this is my first jaybird product. But once i did I had absolutely no problems. When working out today I noticed a lot more skipping than usual, and remembered a couple reviews i have read that said there is some bluetooth interference when using wifi. After I turned the wifi off, the music did not skip a single time. The x-fit option does take a little time to get right, but once you get in a routine and know where they are supposed to be i'm sure there will be less of a struggle. Overall these are a great product and the secure fit option really does work, I didn't have to adjust them at all during my workout. If the cost is bearable and you are looking to get a bluetooth set of headphones, i would highly suggest you buy these.

I love these earbuds. Have had them for about 1.5 years and still work the same as they did out of the box!

After using the Denon Exercise Freaks and struggling with battery issues, the Bluebird X headphones have worked extremely well. Good sound, lightweight, and after funding the right combination of tips and wings, I have had no problem with slippage out of the ear. I run 4x a week. Give them a "thumbs up".

I purchased the JayBird - BlueBuds X headphones primarily for use when running. Out of the box I charged them, went through the fitting process, then did a 13 mile run in prep for an upcoming 1/2 marathon. I made sure to have wired earbuds in a pocket for backup just in case, however, there was no need. The BlueBuds X worked very well with easy pairing, no drop-outs, and crisp sound for bluetooth headphones. Going through the fitting process is important. The flat cable and the cable clips help adjust the sizing of the headphones to rest comfortably against the back of you neck. I noticed no movement of the cable and, quite honestly, forgot that is was there after the first mile. The earbuds come with different size options to fit ear canal and additional ear "cushions" that hold the earbud in place. Through trial and error I found that the small earbud with the medium cushion works best for me. No slippage while out pounding the pavement. Price is higher than some, but this is a case where you are getting what you pay for. I did some tests comparing sound of these to my other sets of earbuds. Where the sound is crisp and clean, I do wish the bass levels were more robust. I should also note that I have not tried these for making phone calls as I do not plan to use them in that way. Overall the best pair of bluetooth headphones for sports that I've come across so far.

I retired my Beats Tour editions because of these headphones, the comfort level mixed with sound quality make these the best in ear head phones I have owned. When I workout they stay in my ears, when I jump rope no adjustments needed oh and when I make phone calls on them the quality has me checking for the cord.

Small, easy to charge, holds the charge for a long time, ear tips fit perfectly (very important), u can adjust the volume, works with both android and Apple. On top of all that they sound fantastic. Because they sound so good and are so easy to use and no wire dangling in the way they are the only headphones I use now. These have to be best in its class

Just got a pair of the BlueBud X's and they are AWESOME!!! I have had and returned the LG around the neck model which were great with the exception of the thing that hangs around your neck, GoGroove over the ear models (which I still have for home use) and a few others and these are the best by far. I use them with my iPhone 4S and they work for music and calls perfectly. They are pretty expensive at $170 but IMHO worth every penny. Good work Jaybird!!

I am a big fan of the Jaybirds. I have owned the Freedoms for almost 3 yrs and have had ZERO issues. The only downfall was the battery life, which was around 2-3 hours. I decided to purchase the Bluebuds X thinking that they would be better in every way. Boy, was I wrong! I had both the Freedoms and Bluebuds paired with my Galaxy S4 and compared them side by side. The Freedoms actually sounded better, maybe due to the more secure fit. The fit of the Bluebuds seemed loose and I had to adjust them several times while on the treadmill. I never had an issue with the Freedoms moving or falling out, even while running. With a less secure fit and lesser sound quality, all I was left with was longer battery life. I couldn't see spending $150 just for battery life, so I returned them. I then tried the Jabra Rox (better in all ways, but BT connection issues# and settled on the Motorola S11-HD Flex bc I got a great deal on them. So far the S11 HD's have better sound and better fit. I was really looking forward to the Bluebuds X. My Freedoms have been extremely durable and have even gone through a couple of washer cycles when I accidentally left them in my running shorts. Newer models don't always mean better. Would I recommend these to a friend? Sure! Jaybird makes a good durable product. I was just hoping that there would be a huge difference b/t my old Freedoms and these new Bluebuds #especially with $150 price tag)

No matter which way I set the wire (above ear or below ear) the ear buds would not stay put. I tried all 3 tips and wings and none work. For the price I would expect a prime fit. Going take them back.

Not sure if too soon, but had these for about a week. So far, this has lived up to the hype. These are the best bluetooth headphones available today. For those new to it, like me, will take some time to realize the greatness of training without wires. Took me a while to realize that my iphone was in my jacket. I was crazy looking for my device in my pants and waist, where I used to put it... :) All I have to say, try it.. Expensive yes, I thoght about it for weeks. Then realized that if you train everyday and hate the wiring or hate wearing arm band or hate the thought of damaging your phone if it falls out of your pocket, defl'ly give this a try. I think with the amount of wear, is worth the price. Ocassional users, maybe not so much! :)

I use my headphones out on runs, in the gym, and at work and I love them! I use my smartphone (HTC One) as my music device and it paired easily. I have read that people have had their device shut off for no apparent reason. I quickly learned that if I don't allow the headphones to charge overnight they can shut off but that only happened once and I use them alot. The other thing that causes the device to shut off is when I am still in my car getting ready to start a run. The Bluetooth in my car is also paired to my phone and the signal in my car will knock out the signal from my headphones. Once I am a short distance from my car there is no problem at all. I am so grateful for this technology after having to deal with my hands getting tangled in the wires on my old headphones. I looked around for the best device and I am so glad I struck gold the first time with the Jay Bird Blue Buds X! They fit just fine and they sound fantastic (I could never endure long distance running if I had to deal with poor sounding headphones). They are listed at $160 at Best Buy and I think they are worth every penny.

They paired easily with my Android, and the sound quality is crystal clear. There are multiple tips for ear fitting which confused me but I read the manual and had a perfect fit in 5 minutes. I use the over the ear style because when I workout I don't even notice I have the headphones in. These are perfect workout headphones.

They are a great headphone with good reception and great sound. The only drawback is the fitment isn't all that great for running but will suffice.

I was so happy with these headphones that when i lost my first, I went ahead and bought a second pair.

After a lot of research into workout headphones, these were the ones I decided to pick up because of the Bluetooth range and sound quality. I am certainly glad I did, because they have worked well the past few months at the gym with better sound quality than the Beats I had earlier with more durability.

I probably should have given the Bluebuds X a longer test but the buds didn't fit great in my ears and it lost and subsequently would not reestablish the Bluetooth connection the first time I took it to the gym. I thought the sound quality was average when it temporary worked, but to be fair, I only have wired headphones as a comparison. I see a lot of good reviews and was hoping for the same experience, but the initial fit, sound and connection issues were not worth the price to me so I returned it within a week of purchase.

Today I returned a new set of Plantronics Backbeat Go earbuds for this Jaybird model and can't believe the difference between the two. I never could get a decent fit with the Plantronics so consequently they sounded tinny and weak at max volume on my iphone. Fortunately Best Buy had this new model from Jaybird in stock so I decided to give it a try. Wow what a difference between the two. The Jaybird Bluebuds X answers all of the pitfalls of the Plantronics (poor fit, poor sound, low volume, very lacking documentation, small led light). Now I have my iphone set at 1/2 - 3/4 volume with the Jaybirds and it's loader and much better sounding than the other set ever approached. Set up was fast and painless. Getting a good snug fit that stays put regardless of movement was a breeze. In short this is a great product if you can afford to spend that much for sports buds.
