Bought the jaybird $125 ones for my wife. She absolutely loves them but is didappointed in the range. She works out in a gym that is a one level and pretty open with alot of equipment. I bought the jaybirds for the simple fact so she wouldn't have to wear her i-phone on her person. The range is HORRIBLE on the $125 jaybird's. I am currently going to exchange them for the $165 jaybirds that say they have a range of 33ft. I hope it works because othervwise she loves the headset and the sound quality. If not will just go back to regular headphones.

Firstly i do work out daily, cardio then weightlifting They work well as long as you don't break a sweat. Once the sweat starts, the sweat and blood vessels expanding will actually cause them to fall right out because of the rubber. Your ears do sweat and if they don't drain, you will either feel like you have fluid in your head or water in your ears. They don't hook in as well as everyone would hope or how the instructions say they sit right down in the ear canal. The sound is awesome if they stay in the ear their older model worked much better at staying in and on the ear because it had that extra piece that would hook around the back of the ear. Once these start to slip out all quality sound goes out. Luckily for me i got the best buy warranty because these do break very often. They say they are sweat proof but they will eventually leak or break. This particular model seems to have more problems than the old ones, i have returned them 4 times now. They continue to just randomly stop working and i can't get them to power back on. I don't know if its a glitch or sweat some how gets into them, but they do stop working. I only use them 1 1/2 at the gym each day and these only work for about 2 months before they cut off. I would not recommend them for someone that works out maybe for someone that uses them at work. If they add the old over the ear guard for them they may stay on better.

After lightly researching Bluetooth headphones, it seemed to me that you get what you pay for when it comes to these things. That proves to be true with the bluebuds x model. Sound quality is great, just as good as a decent pair of wired headphones. Finding the right combination of earbud size and ear cushion size can be a bit tricky, but once you figure it out you practically forget you have them on. But what surprises me most is the signal strength between my iPhone and the headset. Many other reviews complained about poor signal with the cheaper models, but this is not even a problem with the bluebuds. Anyone looking to buy good quality wireless headphones for exercise or just enjoying good quality music, I would highly recommend to spend the extra bucks and get the bluebuds. You won't be disappointed!

I did a lot of research on wireless headphones for working out. I was between the Jay Bird and the Power Beats. After reading the reviews I chose the Jay Birds. They sounded decent, but when I used them in the gym they would slip out of my ears. I tried all 3 tips and none would truly stay in tight. Now that was not the problem as the secure fit did keep them from falling off completely. My issue was when they would slip the seal was not tight. Well when that happened I could not here any bass at all the the sound quality was terrible. If I pushed them back in for a tight seal the sound quality was good. I returned the Jay Birds and bought a pair of Power Beats. They are so much better. The Power Beats were designed not to have a tight seal like the Jay Birds. That is nice as they don't have to be pushed into your ears for good sound quality. With the Jay Bird I had to push them in my ears about every 4-6 min while running for good sound quality. I ran for an hour and did not touch the Power Beats at all. I would say both sounded exactly the same sound wise but the Power Beats fit me a lot better. Jay Birds are ok for walking but not for running if you cannot keep a tight seal.

I couldn't be more happy - excellent music sound quality and easy to use for phone calls too.

If I sat down and wrote a list of requirements for my ideal bluetooth headset, this one would meet all of them. I hesitated to pay this much for a headset but I could find nothing else that fit the category at any price. I have an iphone 4S running IOS 6.0.1. I had recently added a lifeproof waterproof case. Using a headset with this case requires using their included screw-in headset adaptor to ensure that waterproof integrity is maintained. I understand this but it is a royal pain in the butt to use. Also, I am always snagging the headset cord on my apple earphones when I am working in my shop or in the yard. I decided to look into wireless headsets. I expected a little fussiness when setting up the bluetooth pairing. Nothing could be smoother. Maybe it is because of the headset or because of the iphone, but it was dirt simple. Also, the headphone is very thoughtfully set up to give audible status prompts, so you don't have to look at the LED on the right side of the ear bud. There are clear prompts for "power on, power off, headset connected, battery low". I held my breath as I tried the buttons on headset for functionality. All of the functions I use worked flawlessly to match the Apple headset functions. These include: Answer, hangup, increase volume, decrease volume, prompt for SIRI, start music, pause music. So I got used to using the headphones. This morning, I could not find them because I had left them in the car seat and I had to use my wired apple earphones. Oh what a pain! Now the price of these headphones doesn't look so high. Regarding fit, it took a whle to find the exact configuration of size and angle for the adaptors to match my ears. Now that I am finished, these stay in my ears and sound better than any other option I have tried (including Apples latest earpods). Buy a set with the idea that you will take them back if not satisfied. I bet you keep them.

After reading several great reviews about these headphones, I eagerly wanted to give them a try. I specifically wanted a pair of durable headphones with decent sound quality, that I could use during my runs. My first pair lasted one short run & two gym workouts. They started to cut out and the green/red indicator began to flash, as if it was attempting to reconnect to my nano. It then completely shut off. I attempted to charge the headphones, waiting until I got the green battery status light. It still didn't turn on. Needless to say, I was disappointed, but was willing to chalk the failure up to a fluke. I am now writing this rating after having a second pair die on me, this time immediately after a short run. I saw the same green/red flashing LED and then... nothing. Not sure what kind of quality control they have in place for these, but there is clearly room for improvement.

I was looking for a pair of bluetooth headphones because I was sick of the cords tangling up in my sleeves and neckline. These headphones work great, and have awesome bass. It did take a few runs to figure out the earbud and wing sizes for my ears to find the solid fit. Ran a half marathon through a torrential downpour and these puppies didn't budget and kept working the whole way through.

Great heaphones fit nice and sound great. Ended up getting a 2nd pair for my dad.

I purchased this headset when the headset I loved, from a different manufacturer, cracked in half. With the Jaybird Bluebuds X (JBx) headset, I've struggled to find a good fit. I've tried each of the ears cushions provided and each of the ear tips, and still it's a no-go. I do a lot of power walking and a small amount of jogging, and they continue to come loose. I have a pair of Bose IE2 wired ear buds, and they stay in and never move. So, I'm comfortable that the problem is with the JBx. The controls are also awkward to find. With the controls on the right side (when hanging loosely behind the head), I typically use my left hand to find them because I feel like I'm groping around with my right hand, ultimately pulling the ear-piece out from my ear. Very annoying. From a 'fit' perspective, I believe the problem is with the distance from the ear cushion to the ear tips. It's just too far away. I tried the option where you place the controls on the left side and strap the wires behind the head, but that, too, felt awkward and the buds kept coming loose. From a sound perspective, I like these buds. Very clear. I listen to both music and audio books, and its a winner. Even phone calls are clear, for both me and the caller. After spending as much as I did for these buds, I'm going to keep trying to find a workable solution. If anything, I'm dedicated..

Let me start with pros . They sound great , they fit real good even for running . Bluetooth works great . Calls over Bluetooth are awesome clear on both ends . I'm a Tdriver and are perfect for hands free calls and great music quality sound . Cons don't have any :)

First off, I have been through so many headphones in the recent years that I know what I really like So what is good about these. They really work. Many other brands only last about a month if you use them to run, and you do perspire a lot. These take the abuse, and keep on working What is there not to like? Like all bluetooth headphones, they do cut out a bit. Nothing to give up on them for, but remember that it does happen. It will be a short click or pause once in a while. It will be more frequent if you have a Nike+ Fuelband, Pebble watch or other bluetooth device connecting to the phone. They are not the most comfortable, so plan on getting some premium ear tips (like Comply foam) to make them feel better Overall they are great headphones, and I plan on keeping these for a while

I use this while running, biking, cleaning or just in my leisure time. These things do not fall out and I have done numerous things to test the headphones i.e. headbanging, head shaking, running and pogo-sticking (just kidding.) The product is very comfortable and the instruction booklet is thorough enough. The price is moderately high. I was able to justify my purchase due to the high amounts of gift cards I had in my possession. The battery life is average for something around this size; but there is a noticeable connectivity issue when the device runs in the lower battery ranges. The audio will skip out as if there is interference (it's similar to when a pair of headphones' cables have worn down.) This happens prior to the voice prompt stating the battery is low. It may be that my product is just faulty; but, I have not exchanged this pair as it happens scarcely. It works with most blue tooth capable devices and it can handle up to 8 individual devices, if i read correctly. It does work on a PlayStation 3 as a chat device; but, not as an audio source. It does not work with a PlayStation 4 (as far as my attempts have gone.) I have yet to try it on my other gaming consoles and other devices other than my IPhone. Some people do not like how it mutes to a button tone while turning the volume up or down during playback. I do not mind hearing a slight cutout; but I can see why it may bother some. Aside from the small inconveniences, I love these headphones and would recommend them if you have a few bucks to spare.

The sound of music is awesome. The battery life is good. I can wear them for hours. When in my office nobody complains about the call quality. Just as soon as I get in my truck people ask me if I'm on a blue tooth. To me if I can't drive with them then they are just not worth having around. I will be trading them back in as soon as I can.

Great sound quality and blocked out surrounding noise. I just kept hearing noise from them rubbing against noise or my pulse when I was running. They must have just been too snug in my ear for me to get past that. I loved the fact that they trapped out outside noises and were so easy to pair with bluetooth, but I wanted them for office work and running and I just made too much noise when I bumped them.

Outstanding headphones, have tried many brands and varieties. By far the best. Use daily at gym with Galaxy S3 and Google play. Lifetime warranty against sweat; coated with a protective waterproof system (from the factory, 70 dollar value). Still adjusting for the best fit when running. Bluetooth range is about 30 feet so no problem with reception while carrying the phone in a waist pack. Silicone tips are OK, purchased aftermarket tips for better seal and comfort. If you are looking for a set of high quality bluetooth headphones to use while working out, these are the ones for you.

I tried two other types of bluetooth headphones for the gym before purchasing these. I was hesitant due to the price, but they are definitely the best bluetooth earbuds you can buy. They fit perfectly, especially with the extra rubber piece you attach to the buds. The sound is great, even has a great bass. They block out all external noise while at the gym and even after working up a sweat, they never need adjusting. Another great thing is you can wear them under the ear or over the ear to fit to your own comfort.
