I had heard these were the best active bluetooth earbuds available, and that may very well be true. The sound quality is really good, and that's probably what matters most. The only two issues I have with them is that they don't reconnect well after being turned off, thus requiring them to be re-paired, typically by telling my device to "forget" them, then going through the re-pairing process. That said, it is possible to switch their connection to another device. My bigger gripe is the design of the "wings" or flaps to help them stay in the ears. Perhaps it is just my ears, but I ultimately replaced them with some more 3-dimensional attachments that stay put better, but alas, the tips come off too easily. If I were to redesign them, it would be to make these parts more like Audio Technica's earbud design because they lock onto the unit with a catch that doesn't come undone. Not quite 5 stars because of these issues, but still quite good if you want light weight with good sound. As for the battery, it's better than I've heard for most models; never quite as long as you'd like.

now I don't have to carry two items to workout and listen to music and monitor my HR. only bad thing is that battery life is just 4 hrs...and it will not display the HR in nearby fitness equipment like a threatening great construction, sweat doesn't make through them

I bought these to use with programs such as Insanity, P90X, Les Mills. There is a lot of sweating and bouncing going on during these exercises, and the ear-buds never loosened. With that said, running and jogging should not have a different effect. I do use the additional secure-fit ear cushion, and it is very comfortable. You have to play around with them a bit to find the right match...for instance, I use the small ear cushion with the medium ear piece, and I like the over the ear method.

I received my Jaybird BlueBuds from my wife for Christmas, and after three months of use, I still love these. The only struggle that I had with them was finding the proper fit. I found that when using them at the gym, they would not hold their position with the rubber ear tips, which is critical to getting great sound quality. After fighting this for about a month I went to the Jaybird website and chatted with a customer support representative to see if there were any foam tips available. Jaybird did not offer any foam tips, but the rep said that I could order some that work well from Comply. He even gave me the exact model number to order. A set of three foam tips costs $14 plus shipping, but it was money well spent. The BlueBuds stay in position for my entire workout without needing to be adjusted, and the sound is terrific. The bass level is just right, not overwhelming, and I can hear all the nuances of the music. They are easy to use and have great battery life. If the foam eartips were included with the BlueBuds I definitely would have given them a 5 star rating.

This is my first set of Bluetooth earbuds. I was a bit weary due to the fact that sometimes sound quality is lost when you use Bluetooth. These ear buds work and extremely sound better than my wired ones. Bluetooth setup is extremely easy. I.would definitely advise on reading the directions for getting them ready to wear. It's not hard to set them up, however you need to find the right fit of parts for your ears. That is the part that takes the longest. I will definitely be recommending these to friends. They are expensive but we'll worth the money.

Best wireless headphones I purchased. Great sound quality, light weight headphones, perfect fit for me and all around some great headphones.

Took a fair amount of time to determine the best tips and use. The headphones can be worn with cable going down past earlobe or over the top of ear as more of a head wrap. With the headphones positioned down it gave an underwater effect but with over ear didn't seem to need the tips inserted so far in the ear canal creating a much more comfortable fit. I bought a second pair for my wife and she had the same results. The microphone function in any position when used for phone calls was very poor especially if the was any background noise .

I really wanted these headphones to be the one! I tried the J4s out and I liked them but the connection kept going in and out on me. I heard that the BlueBuds had just come out so I figured it was worth a shot. I must say they I was impressed from the start but that changed after they stopped working. I've read a few reviews on here about these turning off at random and that's exactly what's going on with mine. They will just turn off and back on again and I've also noticed that they start redialing the last number I called. I think JayBird has made some improvements on the sound quality, size, and the connection range but none of this is relevant if they don't work. I was really hoping that this would be the pair but it's back to the drawing board. I might have just got a bad set but it seems to be a trend since I've seen this on multiple reviews!

Returned the JBL Reflect BT's because the signal broke up even when seated directly in front of my Macbook. Got the JayBuds X and resolved all my issues. Don't have to worry about where you carry your source. Vocal prompts are helpful. Now if they just fit as well as the BT's I'll be a happy camper. Especially at the Black Friday price it's hard not to justify the extra bucks for something that actually works.

My previous headpones were the Bose SIE2i which worked great for me, the only reason i started shopping around was because the cord kept getting in my way while at the gym. Someone recommended these to me so i gave it a shot, but they just were not for me. I spent so much time trying to figure out what size wing and tip each ear is. And then changed my mind and decided to do the "Over Ear" rather than the "under ear" so i could get a more snug fit... I tightened the wire so it wasnt hanging using great youtube videos i found, but if it was too snug or too lose, the headphones would not fit right in my opinion. The headphones themselves were quite large compared to my small ears so they always hung out more so than normal ear buds. I really really enjoyed the earphones when they did fit, but i simply could not find the right fit and setup for my ears. Very frustrating because i like the product, but didnt work for me.

Long story short, these headphones are above average (not premium as the price suggests) when working. My only complaint about their function is the fit isn't as good as advertised. My main complaint: THEY ARE DEFECTIVE. I have been through two pairs and waiting on a third warranty replacement. I bought these hastily but this scenario is very common. To make it worse, Best Buy only has a 15 day return policy and Jaybird will only replace them. Now I'm stuck in a cycle of shipping broken headphones until I've paid for them twice over. Do not buy these headphones.

In comparison the beats earbuds I use (which i love), they were very heavy and uncomfortable. I tried all combinations of ear bud sizes and the wing things but nothing worked. I also could only get base when I pressed the earbuds directly into my ear. I also don't like that when you adjust the volume up or down, the music turns off the half second it takes to adjust the volume, and instead beeps. I'm not sure why the volume can't just change without an announcement. I worked out with the earbudgs this morning and they fell out after every jump, and felt like they were falling out while I was rowing. I am going to try out a different pair by a different company and hope for better luck. I worked out this morning with the earphones

I love the rock music of the 60's and 70's. I've tried other headphones, buds, etc. with my iPod but, none had the quality and comfort I was seeking. These were suggested to me by my daughter and I'm glad I got a set. They are comfortable and the sound quality is unbelievable! They will stay in place once you've found the right earpiece that fits you best (they come with 3 different sizes).

Headphones are comfortable and great sound quality. But after letting them set for a day or so with a full charge and powering them down. They had lost all of its juice. I don't recommend these at all. You have ti charge them everyday.

I have had several in-ear headphone. These Jaybirds have THE BEST sound for in- ear. When working out, they stay in and don't go crazy when the sweat comes rolling in. The price is steep, but if you like your music or whatever your listening to to be full and noise cancelled, these are it. But the sound is to say the best I have had. I'm sold. Last pair of headphones for me!!!

Honestly, this is a good product OVERALL. But it should be a GREAT product PERIOD. The audio is average. Not Great. Not exhilarating. Just average. For the price, I was expecting a music experience that was either equal or better than Beats by Dr Dre. Turned out, the audio is below the LG Tone+ which is, on average, $100 cheaper!!! The Treble and mids were cool, but the bass is inexcusable! Keep in mind that I have an HTC One that's already powered by Beats Audio! I had to use and configure a 3rd party audio engine to bring out the bass and clear some "hissing" up. I tweaked settings to bring out the best sound that these earbuds can produce, which still wasn't satisfying. I tried all of the combinations of supplied earbuds and to no avail. If you're not an audio enthusiast, you WILL not enjoy the music experience. If you are the average music listener, then I doubt you'll have a problem. Battery is not so good either. I gave it a full overnight charge. I work 9 hours daily on average from 8am to 5pm. I didn't use them until I physically got inside the building. They died around 2:30 which means that's only 6 1/2 hours! Mind you, I actually listened to music for a total of maybe 2 hours all together. The advertised battery life is BS!!! The LG Tone+ EASILY lasts all day on a minimum charge of 1 hour a day. I love the comfort. They easily and securely fit in place like they should. I ran up stairs, got under desks, moved some PC's, rewired a Lab, all while bobbing my head to the music and they didn't ever budge. I do like that about them. They stay where they should as long as you have the right size buds attached. Call quality was average. My fiance complained one time when I was near a colleague that was moving a cart down the hall. She said she could hear the tumbling sound. I guess noise cancellation could be better, but me as the user, I'm not complaining. Pairing and functionality are pretty plain and simple. Very user friendly. I just hate the fact that when you turn the volume up or down the device makes an isolated beep to notify you that the volume is decreasing/increasing. That means you miss whatever audio was playing while controlling the volume. That's a flaw! I love the design and structure of the Blue Buds. They don't look like any other earphones. I got these because everyone including their mother have the Lg Tones! I like being unique and standing out so I purchased the Blue buds. Overall they are very good bluetooth earphones. But for the money, one can only want more as far as audio goes!! I would recommend these to only a select few of people. If you are purposely looking to be blown away by an audio experience, LOOK AWAY NOW!! If you are just looking for a good bluetooth device for your phone and you are a average listener, PURCHASE AWAY :) I bought these yesterday 10/7/13 and I'm DEFINITELY going back to get my money! I'm returning to my LG Tone+ I hope my review helps!! DJ

Little tricky to fit at first but once that is done, they are easy to use and sound great.

I have only have these for a few days but I really love them. The sound is great, my wired pair I love as well is are the Etymotic HF3, I am a fan of in ear headphones already so the in ear aspect of these doesn't bother me at all. The 3 different sizes mean you should be able to find a good fit. They are also not noticeably heavier than wired headphones so working out with them is great, especially since you dont have to worry about a cord getting in your way. Overall great product I would recommend these to anyone looking for a pair of headphones, especially if you want them to be wireless.

I love the jaybird bluebuds. They are stylish durable and sound incredible. I also have beats wireless which are also great but these are my favorite they sound just as good and are cooler on my face when working out rather than having ear cups which tend to hold heat and make you sweat even more. Buy these you won't regret it

This is a convenient item but it needs improving. The bluetooth microphone would be better if it was in the ear piece. Aside from that, the volume is too low when maxed out (I have a corded ear phone set that's much louder) and the speakers on this bluetooth set periodically cuts out on me while listening. You would think that for the price they are charging for these they would be better than they are. When I don't need the convenience of wireless, I would rather use my $20 set of wired ear phones. Doesn't make sense that a person would prefer a $20 set over a $150 set.
