Please try these troubleshooting steps that can help to resolve the issue of your headset's battery:
-Charge both the clip as well as the earphones
-Computers are the best and safest method, as is anything 1 AMP or less.
-Car chargers produce a much greater power supply and should be avoided.
-Over-charging the battery will quickly reduce the life of the headphones, so in addition to monitoring the power supply, limit the charge time to 2.5 hours,
-To get the most out of your battery it is recommended to charge the buds when the low battery status is indicated.
-Avoid charging your headphones after exposure to sweat.
-Make sure charging port/cradle is clear of any debris.

Major Connectivity Issues

Jaybird markets them towards runners and also as an "active headphone". I avoided the Jaybird Run because of reported connectivity issues. I bought these thinking they're based on the original Freedom and all the bugs should be worked out. Specific Use Case: Use as an exercise headphone with the Apple Watch 3 (leave my phone behind). Sound: Sound quality was great with the ability to tweak EQ via the app. No EQ ability on the watch, but who cares since they sound great anyway. Fit: Meh, not a fan of the single piece options. Choosing the tips that fit me meant having one earpiece that kept coming out. Not awful but not ideal. Probably could have lived with this. IMO dumbing down the earpiece options was the wrong strategy. I'd rather spend 15-20min getting the headphones to fit perfectly and know that i'm good for the life of the headphone vs. having mediocre fit. Connectivity: This was the deal-breaker. Everything was great in the house, then I went outside for a run. Dropouts galore. I've used the watch with other headphones in the past and maybe had one dropout every 10-15min. With these it was CONSTANT. Came home, checked Jaybird support, tried again. Walking about 100ft outside resulted in heavy dropouts. Putting my hand near the controller outside resulted in dropouts. Checked Jaybird support, only firmware updates for the original Freedom (which they say is NOT supported on the Freedom2) and on the Jaybird Run. Verdict: Great earbuds indoors. Horrible connectivity outdoors. Unless a firmware update comes out ASAP, i'll be returning these for something more reliable.

Thank you for your very detailed review it is really appreciated, we wanted to reach out with some recommendations that could fix both the fitment and connection issue's above.
For fitment I do recommend trying them both under the ear and over the ear fitments to see what works the best. If the included accessories do not provide a good fit please reach out to us jaybirdlistens@Jaybirdsport.com and we can hook you up with some foam ear tips and additional Freedom ear tips and fins as the Freedom acc. are interchangeable.
To get the best connection it can be a bit tricky based on the environment but here are my suggestions and they should really help.
Try keeping the side with the control panel on the same side as your music player Vice versa, since the control panel is were the antenna is. Also if you wear them over the ear in the Xfit version of fit I have found that effects the connection and I suggest wearing them under the ear with the clips and it should improve your connection.
Here is a reset you can try as well for the Freedom and X3.
To reset your buds to their original factory settings, put your buds in pairing mode by turning the buds off then push and hold the center button for more than 4 seconds until you see alternating red/green LED.
While the LEDs are flashing red/green double tap the center button. Upon successful party reset, the LED turns orange and your buds turn off.
NOTE: Once your buds have been reset and you power on they will automatically go into paring mode. Select “Forget” or “Remove” Jaybird buds from your device’s bluetooth menu and pair again.

1. Try without the charger/clip
2. Test over-ear/under-ear fit
