So small, so cute :)!!! My dad got these for me to run and train with for my track practices. I can't believe how well they stay in my ears while running! It has been my biggest struggle with ear buds. And now not having cords has changed my whole set up!!! THANK YOU Jaybird :) LOVING THEM!

    Best Headphones on the Market

I have experimented with many Bluetooth headphones, these are by far my favorite. The sound quality, battery life, and bt range are unbeatable. The app that lets you customize the EQ settings is also a major plus. You will not be disappointed with these.

Really great sound - simply didn't like the fit

Again, the audio and also noise cancellation is pretty effective. However (perhaps I just my wasn't used to it) but the ear hooks we're a bit uncomfortable and I had to use rubber tips vs foam (which is what I usually prefer). Not sure about the MSRP

The Jaybird Freedom wireless headset exceeded my expectations. I love how low profile they are. I barely notice they are there when I'm using them. It's crazy how well they block out the noise for being ear bud type head phones. I feel like I'm wearing noise cancelling head phones. The set up was easy to do and they are very easy to use. I'd recommend these for anyone, especially someone with an active lifestyle that uses headphones.

I got these in a deal for only $40 which is a very good price. The sound is amazing and the app for these headphones offers huge number of presets. The only con is sometimes it doesn't fit nicely in the ears.

    Died after 3 weeks

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I used them mainly to run 3-4 miles 4 times a week. First of all, they constantly kept falling out no matter what setup I used. As other people have stated the mic is heavy which causes a constant tug on the right ear. So as soon as you start sweating they have trouble staying in. Plus the cord sticks to your neck so when you turn your head to check for traffic this would also pull on the earbuds causing them to slip out. After 3 weeks of use and during my run the left earbud got staticky and then a few minutes later the whole headset just died. My guess is it had to do with sweat possibly shorting it out. For $200 I expected a better design and for it to last longer than 3 weeks. The sound is great and they do a great job blocking out sound. So great for mowing the lawn but in my opinion not good for running. My previous headset was the Jabra Sports Pulse which also had issues with them dying and not working after a few months of use but I never had issues with them not staying on. In either case I recommend getting the service plan because you will use it. I've had a pair of wired Shure ear buds for 5 years now which still work great no matter how much sweat they go through. I wish I could fine a wireless product that worked just as well.

Good sound but rubber eartips are terrible

Ok so I want to really like these but I just can't. The sound is great and the ability to change the EQ and keep that EQ wherever you pair these headphones is great. But every time I pull my headphones out of my ears the rubber tip comes out. I tried every one of those rubber ear tips and no matter which of them I try I have to adjust and put the rubber tips back on. This is a problem that shouldn't exist! I dont feel I have to constantly readjust my eartips and won't Everytime I pull out the headphone from my ear because the rubber tip is stuck inside my ear. DONT BUY THESE.

I've been using my Freedoms now for a few weeks and overall they are super solid. fit perfectly. They come with so many different tips / its easy to find a perfect fit for your ear. They sound great for working out - but best of all the battery life is far and beyond what I've experienced in the past. Really happy with these!

Got this as a gift and used for several days-- until it stopped working (not sweat proof?). Got a replacement, and husband also got one for himself. Afterall, it's a neat Bluetooth headset. Sound is good. Great for running. Neat app, too. Today, both stopped working and wont even charge. Googled it and found that it's possibly battery issue. Going back to the store... probably going with another brand instead. If it actually continued to work, I'd give it 4, maybe even 5 stars.

    Good ideas but bad design

The price is right for this particular style. The cord clips work good but if you have them to tight they will pull the earbud out of your ear. Too lose and what's the point, right? I use them with a full face helmet when riding the motorcycle and they begin to hurt my ears after about 3 to 4 hours of riding. I've have other brand of earbuds I could wear all-day without pain of any sort. The battery has to be on in order to charge this device which could be a pain if you lose it. The battery when on also weights down the cord pulling on your right ear.

Was hesistant because of price point, but worth it

Background: I used to use Samsung Level U headphones and my complaint was that the volume was way too low and the base started breaking within 6 months of having it. Also, when I was outside the speaker picked up way too much feedback so the person on the other end couldn't hear me. The good about Jaybird Freedoms: I have had these for about 3 weeks now and I love them. Though they don't have active noise cancellation, it's not an issue because of the memory foam earbud tips (which are a game changer) which are wonderful at blocking out noise. I used them through the airport, on long distance flights, and while I slept and even with the music off it is great at blocking out crying babies, loud snoring, and general background noise. I've received feedback from callers that my audio sounds pretty good, so it seems to do a good job handling phone calls. I need to test this out a little more. The music quality is great and it gets super loud. It can connect to multiple devices at a time and the volume control works on all of them (Microsoft Surface, iPad, Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung Gear Fit2, etc.). At first I was worried about losing them because I am used to the "around the neck" headphones. But after watching the how-to videos Jaybird has on YouTube (which are great), I've been able to use the clips included to keep them from getting lost and falling off. The bad: The "wings" that come with the headphones are a bit weird and uncomfortable. I feel I have to get them "just right" every time I put them in my ear, which takes time and can be annoying. I've stopped using them at this point because I haven't been exercising so I didn't need them. I will probably give them another chance soon once I get active.

These earbuds are great!! Great sound....customized the way I want them with the app. I tried several expensive pairs before trying these, and I was uncertain how they would be. Much to my surprise they are the best Ive tried. I have some hearing loss but I still like to listen to music fairly loud and these are great! Only con is bluetooth could be better, they go off or skip if I get 8-10' or more from my phone. Still best!

The one and only BT earphones i'll ever need

These Jaybirds are hands down the greatest investment I've made for my first set of wireless earphones as they're now essential for everyday use on my daily commutes. I find them easier and more comfortable to use by looping them over the ear without the fins and attaching the cord management clips for a low profile look and less movement while on the go. Get these if you want an equal balance of bass and treble.

Small size, good audio - bad voice quality

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I was excited to get these as they are so much smaller that other competing in-ear headphones. The Jaybird X's stick out too far from your ears and the LG Tones have the neckband. After trying the different tips (silicon wouldn't stay, foam was too scratchy), I ultimately settled on the tips from my old Bose IE headphones. While these tips are not made for the Jaybirds, they stayed on and improved the fit for me. I ultimately returned these for two reasons, especially considering the high-price: 1) Voice call quality is pretty poor. With no noise/echo cancellation on my end it is not great for taking calls. In some ways the microphone is too sensitive as it picked up my breathing and cable knocking on the mic whereas my normal LG Tone have neither of these issues. 2) Audio delay - watch a movie/video and you get the dreaded audio sync issue where the audio is delayed from the action on the screen. This is likely due to the audio processing it is doing (couldn't find a way to turn that off) as my LGs did not have this issue. If the above two items are not issues for you, then these are great headphones. Small and light - didn't even mind the bulky charger/battery extender. At this point, am looking forward to trying the upcoming Bose InEar QC30s as they look to improve the voice call quality (and coming from the LGs, I don't mind the neckband).

The sound for music is good, but horrible for calls. The buds are uncomfortable, and occasionally fall out of ear. The clip broke less than a month after purchase, and I attempted to reach customers service via telephone, and phone was not working. Attempted to register the product, but warranty site not yet set up. Sent an email to customer support, still no response- two weeks later. Spend your money on ear buds from an already established, and reputable company.

    Perfect fit but...

So first I purchased the Jaybirds x3. Those had good sound, great connection, horrible fit (way too big for small ears). I exchanged them for the freedom f5's. These have the perfect fit, great sound (just a little quieter), but they cut out bad if I put my ipod in my pocket. There has to be nothing between them and the ipod. Super sensitive connection. I will probably be returning them but I'm not going back to the x3's. I am done with Jaybirds.

Great if you don't skip songs

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I thought it was nice at first because of the ability to modify the sound waves. I then realized you cannot decline calls or go backward or skip forward to the next song. I was mistaken when I thought the Jaybird "Freedom" would allow me to not use my phone to skip songs and decline phone calls. For $150 I was expecting better skipping capabilities. There are much cheaper sport headphones that allow you to skip songs and decline phone calls. Besides that, the comfort is relatively comparable to other cheaper headphones.

Great sound, terrible fit and BT Connectivity

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I own the original Bluebuds X and after some time, I finally got the fit right. They don't stay in the ears perfectly, but good enough. I was excited about the Jaybird Freedoms and waited until enough people had reviewed the product before buying. The EQ app is amazing and works well. The sound was great and the device got plenty loud for me. I tried these on vacation and at home, but sadly the BT connectivity on the pair I bought was terrible. Sound cutting in and out on two different well known apps. I used the same tips and wing size that I used on my old Bluebud X along with all other combinations, but could never get them to go in my ears and stay. I tested my old pair and the freedoms at the same time, same place and with the same apps. The old ones were great with no problems in fit and connectivity, the Jaybird Freedoms consistently cut out and fell out. Disappointed to say the least and I won't spend $200+ on subpar earbuds. Guess I will wait for the X3's and hope they are better.
