Good sound, poor fit
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been looking for new wireless headphones for a while now and tried the Jaybird X3, Freedoms, and the Bose Soundsports. I went with the X3s after trying out all three. The Freedoms had a pretty solid sound but were, by far, the most uncomfortable. From the second I put them in my ears they felt like they were scratching my earlobe area and I was unable to find a balance between them staying put and not causing so much pressure I had to continuously "pop" my ears. They look sharp and the sound was solid, especially once you played around with the Jaybird sound app on your phone, but the comfort made it not worth it. The X3s fit much better with the angled earpieces and produce a better sound, even with my smaller-than-normal ear canals. Not worth the money.

Didn't live up to its promise
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Two days ago I purchased the freedom blue tooth after talking to a sales associate at the local store. The sound quality was excellent however the battery life sucks , and it kept sliding off my ear and neck during workout ( that was very annoying ). This is not the headset for an active person. So I returned them for the best head set ever made it paired great on my iPhone 7 and it's the same price and so so so much betterthan the freedom. Think twice before spending your money on the freedom.

Good, could be better
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Main problem with these is the cheaply made clip, i wore it at work twice where i just had it clipped to the back of my shirt and it just broke, causing the headphones to pull drastically to the side with the microphone which meant I couldnt use them at work anymore

Great Sound - Won't stay in my ears
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound quality here is phenomenal, especially with the use of the EQ function on the MySound app. I am a runner and I can not keep these in my ears, no matter what I try. I have tried every configuration of ear buds and flaps. I have tried cord over the ear as suggested in the instruction flap that came with the headphones. This is my fourth set of wireless headphones I have tried for running and it fell short just like the rest. I am going back to wired headphones as much as I hate the thought of doing that. Wireless 'fit' for athletes just isn't ready for prime time apparently.

Lousy Headphones. Don't waste your money.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The reviews generally speaking were very good. Not sure what those reviewers were listening to. Like a lot of people I have quite a collection of headphones. I walk everyday outside 5-6 miles. Seriously folks, My headphones that came free with my iPhone have a much better sound. I couldn't get any bass out of these headphones. Yes, I set up the app on my phone and manually adjusted to my preference. Bad. Also, the bluetooth would cut out with the phone in my front pocket of my walking pants or sweats. Didn't matter. Since Bestbuy has a very short return period (15 days) I blew it. Do not waste your money. On sale I paid $59, regular price ridiculous, like $179 or so.

Super Great, Small, Great Bluetooth
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been a Jaybird fan for a while now. Super impressed with their products and this might be their best yet. The buds are VERY small. Stay in the ears great. They have a portable battery charger. It clips onto the mic and charges without being plugged in. Some of my friends keep the battery booster on, I just let it charge it when I'm out and not using it. Mic is great, people cant tell I am on headphones.

Apple Pricetag, Skullcandy quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These retail for $150, the same as Apple’s AirPods. I scooped them up on a sale for $50 and they are going back. I also tried reviewing this product on Amazon but they have an all sales are final policy and won’t let you review the product unless you bought it from Amazon. The process to upgrade the firmware is annoying. With the Spectre and Meltdown epidemic you don’t want to download unverified software to your computer, but that’s what you have to do to update the firmware to the headset. Which by the way you need to do to fix the number of problems that come with the device out of the box. Also you need a data usb cable to update the firmware and Jaybird proudly tells you you can buy one from them. The included cable does not work for firmware updates. Next, the audio is out of sync with video and the firmware update does not fix the problem. Turns out the audio codec for the headphones is so glorious it sacrificed sync speeds. The nice things. The headset is decently comfortable despite the large dongle and battery clip that basically doubles as a proprietary charger and allows them to meet the standard 8 hour battery advertisement. The optional app is cool because you can download EQ presets and adjust it on the fly which was great for when I switched to listening to podcasts. If I never watched videos and used this purely for workouts and paid $50 then maybe I would be okay with this product. For what JayBird is asking, just buy AirPods or something else.

Disappointed :(
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have the Jaybirds X2's and like them pretty well. I was super excited to see the small form factor of the new Jaybirds Freedom. The sound quality is decent. The quality build is good. However, the downsides are that the earbuds have a lot of hissing noise in the background and static noise when switching between apps. Also, the delay when watching videos is really awful. The Jaybirds X2's have none of these issues. I'll be returning the Freedom earbuds and stick with the X's until the Freedoms become more refined.

X3 fit better than this
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm returning this and getting the Jaybird X3 because the fit is WAAAY better than this. These earphones have an awkward fit and I couldn't get it to fit perfectly were it wouldn't irritate my ear.

Headphones never die
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. On the go charging is great. I love these things. My headphones never go dead with the charger. I had X2 before but would use them till they die which was my favorite before. But now that I can have endless battery.

Great Product, Poor Customer Service
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'd been considering purchasing these earbuds for quite some time as I was very happy with the x2's, but wanted something a bit more streamlined for comfort/appearance. Unforturnately, my set came packaged with 3 medium earbuds and 1 large and, of course, I require the large for proper fit. My email contact with customer support was answered within 2 days, and asked for the standard info (shipping address, color of product) but also required a scan of the receipt and "Furthermore, please include photos of the device's original packaging and its contents. Thank you" Seriously? You think I would make the effort to reach out to Jaybird so I could defraud them for the cost of a large set of earcups (and postage)?First off, this was received as a gift. Second, why on earth would I take the time to lay out all of the packaging and contents to photograph when all I need is a set of large earcups? If this was my company, I wouldn't be spending money on customer support people that would waste time/effort on reviewing requests for earcups... For the cost to the company, Jaybird would be better off sending free earcups to all their customers annually and firing the support staff. We would all end up ahead. Instead of complying with the customer support request, I felt my time would be better used writing a review so others are aware of the customer support they can expect if they run into problems with the product.

Not sweat proof! Don't trust Jay Bird!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These ear buds worked great for 2 weeks. They had great sound and were comfortable. They are definitely not sweat proof!! I was in the middle of a run and they just quit working and will not turn back on. I cannot return them since they were bought as a Christmas gift and I have no receipt. Due to a faulty product, we are out $150. I will not buy a Jay Bird again.

These are painful to wear and fallout a lot:)
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use these solely for conference calls. The design just flat out hurts me and they do not want to stay in my ear. I have to be careful how I move. I wish I could return them.

Maybe Special Edition only
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the 49 dollar deal item and returned it today simply due to the surprisingly weak sound. With MAX volume control the sound was barely ok. If you want it with strong sound either on run or at lousy Gym area? I think this item is useless. I assume the Jaybird separated these weak sound version with Bestbuy special deal, otherwise, F5 is total failure.

weak speakers. took 'em back; got the Bose
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am glad that after the fifth use, the left speaker went out. Got them just to exercise. They don't stay in the ear as well as hoped. Even cycling through the various attachments, the weight of the right control always kept stress on the left ear bud. After exchanging for the wireless Bose, I realized how poor the sound quality of the Jaybird is. Even with the Jaybird equalizer app, the speakers sound like a cheap clock radio in your ear.

A Letdown from my previous set of Jaybirds.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sound Quality: Not too bad, if you have the headphones in at the correct angle. Comfort: Bad. They didn't (personally) stay in my ears at all. The module in the line is WAY too heavy. It simply pulls the headphones out of your ears. Battery: Average at best, maybe 4-5 hours. Other: -Sound cut out constantly when paired with my Apple Watch, but that may just be because I got a lemon, or something. No idea. -Charging mechanism is stupid and cumbersome. Just put a Micro-USB port on the headphones themselves instead of requiring the stupid dock thing. -Carrying case was a failed attempt at being creative, I'd rather just have had a zippered case. In the end, I returned these, and got the Under Armour JBL Sport headphones (sku 5613510), WOW they are much better. Check them out.
