The Jaybirds produce really good sound. However, I could not tolerate the other features: When you turn them on, it makes a loud intro audio announcement that is uncomfortably loud (I ended up turning them on, letting the announcement play, then inserting the earbuds into my ears). Next thing I didn't like was when the battery gets low, it makes a LOUD audible notification "Battery at 20%!". I find this audible notification disrupting when I'm listening to music or podcasts. It seems you could have your music or audiobooks on low volume and when the "Battery at 20%!" notification comes on, it delivers at a loud volume (higher than your preset volume for media). Third, the battery does not last that long (less than 8 hours). Those three reasons I had to return them. But the Jaybirds had better sound quality than my Anker and TaoTronics bluetooth earbuds. And the Jaybird has a smartphone app that lets you download and customize sound profiles.

Still getting these dialed in. I was not impressed with the sound quality initially, but found if these are pushed deeper into the ear canal (creating a better seal), the sound quality is vastly improved. The only real downside I see is you need the charging "pack" which doubles as an extra power pack in order to charge the headphones. If you don't have the charging dock, you can't charge the headphones. Overall a great pair of bluetooth headphones, especially when purchased during the Black Friday sale.

Secure in my ears - which is NOT common for me, and good sound. Light on the bass, but what can you expect for speakers this size.

Excellent pair of headphones. Very light and great sound. You can adjust the sound with the Jay Bird App to your liking. Very compact size and not too heave with the battery charging piece that attaches to the volume controls.

This is a great product except they hurt my ears. One set of tips were too small and the other set too big. The sound was great!

Best Buy was selling these for $50 so I decided to upgrade from my old Jaybird X2's. This design is so much more comfortable, and sounds better too. The equalizer is a neat feature as well, and can adjust your headphones to any style of sound you want. My only complaint is that there is some lag when trying to watch videos on my phone.

I originally purchased the Jaybird X2s, but they didn't fit my ears well, so I traded them in on a pair of Freedoms. MUCH better fit. Sound quality is excellent for a bluetooth earbud as well. My only complaint is taking phone calls--the mic sounds over modulated back in the headset, although it does not sound out of the norm to the person on the other end.
