Best ear buds for intense workouts
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got these ear buds for my husband who is a firefighter and had to keep up with intense and long workouts. In the past his ear pieces would always fall out or his ears would get sore. We have both been very impressed with the quality and comfort of the Jaybird RUN. The cost is totally worth it + I love the in case charging ability!

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. All of the reviews about dropping Bluetooth connectivity are spot on! The left earbud cuts out about 3 times a minute...so annoying! The sound is actually pretty good once you figure out the right tips. Will be trying the Bose and maybe the Sony's when they come out. These are being returned!

Fit issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The headphones seem to pair very easily and work well but I can’t keep them in my ears long enough to tell. No matter what combination of tips I use, one false movement (or even a laugh) and they slide right out. I didn’t even try using them for a run since I can’t even listen to a complete song without them falling out. Cool idea. Bad design.

Posted .Hi Chris,
Thank you for your review it is greatly appreciated! I am sorry your RUN was having connection issues. We can help you fix the connection on your RUN's. We just actually came out with an update that should improve the connection, also try the reset below that is specific to the L ear bud. -
https://www.jaybirdsport.com/en-us/updates.html
To hard reset - Do left and right ear bud resets* (same reset for both sides)
1. Turn off your Left earbud by pressing the Left multifunction button for 3-5 seconds or till you hear “Power Off”
2. With your right earbud off, press and hold the Left multifunction button for 6 seconds until the LED flashes green.
3. Double press the left multifunction button. The LED will flash orange and the earbud will turn off. Your earbud has now been reset. -
When you hard reset your earbuds, you will lose any saved presets and any saved devices on the paired list. Make sure to go to your bluetooth menu and delete the old device profile then you will need to power the buds back on and put them in pairing mode by again holding the Left/Right side button until the LED starts flashing GREEN. Then, go into your Bluetooth menu and select the buds under BLUETOOTH DEVICES.
If these do not work please contact us at [email protected] and we will make sure to get you taken care of.

Poor Bluetooth connection
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these thinking they would be great for running but they are horrible. Hey constantly go in and out of sync connection and the product should not be on the market until it’s fixed. I’m very disappointed.

Overall pretty awesome
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Didn't have high expectancy from anything cordless. Bought a pair of the JBLs (one of my favorite brands) and after 30 minutes returned them for the jaybirds. The eq capability is by far my favorite feature and if you can eq there is no way you wouldn't enjoy them. I'm having trouble getting a figment that doesn't irritate my ears but for the most part very enjoyable.

Headphones suck
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These buds are terrible. I purchased the black par and fresh out of the box had connectivity issues with left bud. I returned them and got the white ones same issue. The rubber ear cups have sharp edges which hurt after about 20 min. Overall these are trash.

Great sound and fit - Poor control for running
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great sound and fit. But, you have to choose the button functions between two separate settings, which is the dumbest thing for a runner. Either you choose volume options or play/pause/answer/siri call options. You cannot control volume and play/pause in the same setting. Yes... under the play/pause you also get Siri which you can instruct for adjusting volume up and down...but every tried talking clearly while running??? 1 star because the whole idea for these is to use them for running.

Don't waste your time
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After 2 pairs of Jaybird Run headphones in the last 12 months, and decided to switch to Jabra Active Elite; it's like a breath of fresh air. I used/use them almost exclusively for working out on a stationary bike while watching movies on a sony bravia (home ) or my ipad (gym). I usually leave the bike in a pool of sweat, so durability, sweat resistance, and noise isolation/fit are my primary criteria, which is why I went with the Run to begin with. I was happy with fit, noise isolation, and sound quality, but not so happy with the audio lag of 0.5 - 1 second; kind of like watching a movie and having someone read the subtitles aloud. The Jaybird site is full of complaints about the audio lag; there is really no solution other than to get used to it, which I finally did about 10 months ago, at least to the point where it became a minor annoyance rather than a reason to return. But about 2 months ago, one of the charging pins in the case broke (they are extremely thin and easy to bend/break unless one is very careful putting the buds in the case) while I was traveling. Fortunately, I had purchased the extended protection plan, stopped by a BestBuy and picked up a new pair. The fit, sound, and audio lag are exactly the same as the first pair, but the left bud drops out intermittently and unpredictably. It depends on the environment--at home it's fine but in a gym (maybe with potential inteference) it can be awful--dropping out for 5 - 30 seconds every minute or two. The Jaybird site is also full of complaints about this issue, with the "fix" being a hard reset. After nearly a dozen hard resets over a period of a few weeks I gave up and switched them out for the Jabra. The Jabra is SO much better--same sound quality and fit, but almost no audio lag, no dropout, no fragile charging pins, and a more sophisticated user app, control system, and software infrastructure. I also have a pair of Bose QC30 headphones (wireless with noise reduction but not so good for working out) that I use on airplane flights, and the Jabra infrastructure/support/engineering seems on par with the quality and refinement of the Bose product. A trivial example--the Bose and the Jabra can host two simultaneous connections (phone and tv) and it is effortless and intuitive to switch/add a new source. The Jaybird is kludgy; feels like comparing a Mac Classic (with a floppy disk) to an iMac. Best advice: ignore the "professional" reviews, get the BestBuy protection plan, and see for yourself.

Love the Sound (when I get it) & Fit
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Number me among the many who have had an awful time with the bluetooth connection. I purchased these on 2/10, and have run 3 days in a row with them. I believe I have the latest software update, and have even tried to do a hard reset on them. I'm so bummed! I am going to try them one more day, and if they don't work... Taking them back. Disappointing, to say the least. I've had no problem with the right earbud, as it's the main receiver, but the left earbud has grown progressively worse. During my 5 mile run today the left earbud was only on about 30% of the time. VERY ANNOYING! HELPPPPP!

One of the best headphones I've head
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fits good In the ear. Sounds quality is amazing. Even better with the app . The only problem I had was answering calls while bud is in ear. They should have made it simple touch instead of hard press. And magnet buds would make then perfect so they don't fall from the case

Overpriced and cheap quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had the headphones for a couple of days before they broke. One of the prongs inside for charging snapped off. Not sure if a defective pair or made this cheaply. Sometimes I would need to open and shut the case repeatedly so they would just open and connect to my device. Sometimes the left one would connect, other times it wouldn’t. A lot of white noise when on. For $170 you can find a better product or spend a little more for durable high quality earbud. Sadly, Jaybird dropped the ball here.
