Best Buds Ever
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was provided a comprehensive overview of all the Bluetooth buds sold by Best Buy. With a very broad range of music interest from classical to rock to piano jazz, I require flexible sound settings capabilities. The rep there highly recommended the JayBird Run...Tyler was completely tuned in...excellent and knowledgeable sales person!!!!

Excellent concept, that's it.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't write a lot of reviews, but when I do, it's for a good reason. This one is in hopes to save at least one person from the trepidation of lost time and potentially lost money. I ordered the Jaybird Run on 02/09/2017 and picked them up on 02/14/2017. Sadly, I didn't open then until 03/23/2017 which was probably the biggest mistake I could have made in this situation. As the giant sticker a fixed to the cellophane wrapping instructed me to do, I updated them immediately. Given the other negative reviews, this may have been a proactive attempt by the manufacturer to thwart people from returning these items. Anyway, the left bud keeps dropping audio. According to Jaybird, the right earbud sends the sound to the left bud and to compensate for that, the delay with sound while watching any video is typical. It's a significant delay too. It makes watching movies and tv shows downloaded from Google Play look like I am watching one of those foreign films with English words dubbed over it. The problem is even worse on my iPad Pro. Again, according to Jaybird, this is entirely (I stress that) normal. Seriously, poor product design is normal operation. I just can't even... not for $180. To prove I'm not making this up, I would copy the email response here, but I fear in doing so would prevent this review from being published and I have wasted enough of my time trying to get $180 pair of headphones to work out of the box. I really wish I would have evaluated these during the Best Buy return period and returned them to Best Buy. Now, I am left to handle things through Jaybird's customer service which has proven to be a drawn-out process filled with generic stock copy/paste email responses that seem uncaring. Fun times! I highly recommend that anyone considering this product to heed the warnings of the other reviewers and myself. With as many poor reviews similar to mine, it takes things well beyond a fluke or "oh, you must have just gotten the one lousy product out of the batch."

Awful sound/ Awful service
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was initially a huge fan of the jaybird run and had used it for about a year on the original firmware. That unit naturally was wearing out so I purchased a new pair that came with the new firmware. With just one earbud in the sound is fine but with both the sound is genuinely awful even when using the Jaybird app. I emailed customer service in which they wouldn’t acknowledge that the sound and firmware might be connected. I mailed back the product and a little less than a month later they shipped the same product with horrible sound especially compared to the jaybird run with the original firmware. If you go to their site you will see this is a common issue that they never directly adress. I used to reccomend their products to everyone I know but I will never buy from such an unhelpful compony that lacks transparency and consumer accountability. I was helped by Bruce Jason who at no point acknowledged the cause of the problem but required proof that the firmware was updated. I directly asked is there away to downgrade to the older firmware and in his follow up email he just asked for a screenshot of proof of the updated firmware and eventually just had me return it without acknowledging the question.

Disappointment
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a Jaybird and I personally own a pair of the Jaybird X3 and I love them. After I saw the Jaybird RUN wireless headphones come out I figured that I would give them a try. However, I find myself to be extremely disappointed. I opened the case and put in the Jaybird RUN headphones only to find that the audio quality was about half that of the X3 and the volume was about half as well. There is no way to change the volume on the earbuds themselves, you must use your phone only. Even after turning the headphones to maximum volume I found the sound production to be very weak. Even on my custom sound setting the bass was very low and the mids were soft. The highs seemed to be lacking as well. The only thing that I found to be overall pleasing was the fit of the earbuds. They feel cheaply made in the hand and I am not a fan of the glossy finish, I would much rather a more sleep matte design. Coming in at around $180 I would not recommend buying the Jaybird RUN. For $80 cheaper I would go with the X3. The X3 produce a much crisper sound with great bass and can easily be customized to your liking. The fit of the X3 earbuds are extremely snug and comfy. The only issues I've found with the X3 earbuds would be that the ear tips easily fall off the earbuds themselves if you are not careful. I find this to happen to me sometimes when I take them out of my ear or often when I take them out of the carrying case. However, this is an easy fix as you can just order replacement tips off of Amazon for fairly cheap. The only other negative part about the X3 would be the wire tends to shift to the right after a period of time which pulls on the left earbud due to the in-line volume rocker. However, this was never really a problem for me as it is an easy fix to just over compensate by moving the wire more towards your left shoulder or by utilizing the wire clips that are included with the package. The X3 earbuds are extremely rugged. I have ran with them through the hail, sleet, snow, rain, mud, dropped them a ton of times, had them pulled off my neck while lifting, playing basketball, fighting, dunked in a pool... They have been through a lot and they are still perfectly fine. They are very appealing as well with the rubberized matte finish. The volume rocker as well utilizes very tactile buttons with a nice click which I am a fan of. Overall, the Jaybird RUN headphones are not worth the money... I'm not even sure that I would spend $40 on them. But, if you are looking for a good pair of wireless headphones especially if your extremely active and in the elements I advise looking into the Jaybird X3. They are about $100 as of right now but I have seen deals on them as low as $80. In my opinion this is a very fair price, they are good quality earbuds.

Perfect for a Father's Day or Year-Round Gift
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are a perfect gift for an athlete in your life, or for yourself! They have four hour play time and a fast charge. They charge in 5 minutes for one hour of play time! They feel secure and comfortable and we love that they're sweat-proof and water resistant. We use them for music and phone calls.

Garbage Headphones
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Normally I LOVE Jaybird headphones, but these were absolute garbage. The Bluetooth connection was awful, even after making sure the firmware was up to date. If I put my hand over my left ear the sound would completely stop on that headphone. They hurt my ears after about an hour workout and I still have a headache today from them. The sound was not great, even after downloading the app to customize the sound they were too quiet and too screeching. These were a HUGE disappointment and will be returned today.

Garbage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very disappointing. I've had a number of jaybird products and have been generally happy. These have been abysmal. While the fit is good they often power off while I run. I turn them back on, then it says connect right bud, then it connects and shuts down. I've updated firmware, I've reset. I've left feedback using the app. I'll be returning them. I'm not sure how these were released because they aren't ready.

Terrible purchase
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Most disappointing purchase I have ever made. I returned them today. Performed the firmware update and still had issues losing connection. For the amount you pay for these this is completely unacceptable. I bought a $30 from a gas station that work better. Do yourself a favor, don't waste your time or money. Jaybird should recall this product and do adequate testing before releasing their next product.

These are not worth the price!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Okay, I read some of the reviews and watched a couple of you tube videos so I thought by what they were saying I would be in for a blast. Wrong! First, they have no magnets in the case. Second. they are not loud! They will only go as loud as your phone and its not enough and they have no base. I couldn't believe it. The app is where you control the sound but its not good. No matter how long I messed with the EQ, I could not get to where I feel pumped. I mean a pair of 22.00 dollar Sony plug-in sound better. Maybe there are more sound control because of issues with hearing loss associated with loud music playing through headphones? I hooked up my old Shure wired headphones and thy sound exceptional unlike Jaybirds. Last December, I bought a pair of Jam Ultras and the sound was great, but they would not pair up. I tried everything and had to send them back. I guess I will listen to my new bone conduction Trekz headphones, which sound better. I will be returning the J birds in the morning.

A great fit means a great sound. Please try these for secure fit:

Run Away from these
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don’t bother! Save your money. Run from these as an option. I use headphones every day in the gym or on the run. These are not an option. The left ear fails regularly. It’s absolutey horrible. They are comfortable. When they work, they sound great. But it’s just not an option for an earbud to fall off the Bluetooth and go dead.

Over Hyped
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Despite all of the tips and fins, I found the fit to be absolutely terrible. The bulky and heavy buds slip out all of the time. Definitely do not work for vigorous workouts or running. Huge disappointment. sound and battery life are good, but that doesn't make up for the fact that they constantly fall out.

Crazy fade out and synch problems bt the units!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Selected this product because of a previous good experience with my jaybirds. The jaybird RUN left and right units are constantly losing synch with each other. I have followed the advice to reset and re-synch but this problem continues, starting to fade and re-synch over and over in the middle of my workout. Do NOT buy this product until they figure this problem out!!!

Utter crap
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These ear buds are junk! They do not last as long as advertised, do not charge in their box correctly, are difficult to get in box "just so" where they will charge at all. Only good thing i can say is they have amazing bass. Definitely not worth the almost $200.
