Huge disappointment!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Huge disappointment for the price paid!!! These would not stay in my ear unless I was sitting. There are many different rubber fittings for the earbuds that should make it possible to get a good fit, not the case for me. It took me forever to find the combination of fittings that felt comfortable in my ear and they still would not stay secure. I will Be going’s back to my previous Bose Wireless headphones. I can deal with the small wire instead of the problems

Great company, somewhat disappointing product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had multiple jaybirds and fell in love with the company. My favorite pair being the X2 which I still use to this day (even though I bought these Run earbuds). I chose to buy the Jaybird Run not only because Jaybird is my favorite active wear headsets, but because of the slim minimalist style compared to the other companies (not named Apple). Sound quality is awesome. Very easy to use and I love that you can customize your sound from the Jaybird app. The only reason I give this 3 stars is because of the Bluetooth connectivity... The majority of reviews on here complain about the reliability of the connectivity (especially with the left earbud) and despite everyones complaint, I still wanted to buy these because of how much I love the brand, but after a week or so of using them, I started to see what everyone was talking about. Every now and then while I'm running, the left earbud would cut out for a few seconds then come back on. When I take them out of the pod case, the left bud sometimes doesn't even connect and I find myself wasting so much time just trying to connect both ear buds so that I can listen to them in both ears. Some complained it was due to a large crowd of people around them which disrupted the Bluetooth connection, but everytime it would disconnect, there would be no one around me and maybe 1 or 2 people around me at best. This all happened AFTER I updated the firmware (which supposedly was suppose to help resolve the connectivity problem). Would I recommend this product....I would, but with GREAT hesitation. Only reason I got them is because I've been with Jaybird for a long time now. Still enjoy them. But buyer beware if you are looking for a first pair of jaybirds, I would recommend getting the X3 or Freedoms before you get the Run's because if you get these first, you may be disappointed.

Average Pair of Truly Wireless Headphones
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Jaybird Run truly wireless headphones offer a mix of negatives and positives. Positives: - Great Fit. They are snug and never once fell out of my ear. I was never afraid of them falling out even on long distance runs. - Good Noise Cancellation. The headphones themselves don't have any built in noise cancellation features but they do a good job at cancelling ambient noise since they go right into the ear and fit so snug. - Small/Stealthy Design. They are one of the smallest truly wireless headphones in the premium market. They don't stick out really far from your ear. The case is also tiny so you can keep the case in your pocket for charging or storing purposes. - Decent Price. For a premium brand they fall in the right price range for someone looking to get workout headphones without the cord. Neutral: - Average Sound Quality. I'm not too impressed with the sound quality but the Jaybird app allows you to change the sound signature to your liking. There is very minimal amount of bass. -Battery Life. They will last 4 hours on one charge which is very little but the charging case has 8 hours worth of charging on it. Since you have to store them in the case after use you almost never run out of battery unless the case is out of it. That being said I can't be too upset with the battery life. Negative: - Pairing isn't the smoothest. The first time I attempted to pair my Jaybird Runs was when I removed them from the case and pairing started by itself. Unfortunately they did not pair right away and I had to manually start pairing on both headphones themselves and open the Jaybird app to do it. - Sound Cuts Out: Jaybird recommends using these headphones on your right side of the body via armband or in your right hand or pocket. This will minimize sound cut outs but I still experienced it multiply times throughout my uses. (note: on google pixel phone) -Playback Controls are Awful. Each side of the earbud serves a function whether it be play, pause, skip, or activate voice assistant. This was a bad experience for me as play/pause would only work a fraction of the time. Overall, I think the Jaybird Runs could use a little bit of improvement. They are not awful by any means and the great fit is definitely a positive. Although the sound signature is not the best it still provided a good listening experience when I was out on a run when it wasn't cutting out the left earbud. I would still recommend the Jaybird Runs because of the price, comfort, cordless experience, and their compatibility with both Android and iOS.

A good, sound purchase
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a long commute and a long day at work. To have any sort of life, I have to double up on other activities. For me, these earphones are perfect. Light, convenient, and good performers, with these earphones I can get my exercise while also catching my news streams and podcasts! The earphones have a great battery life and the case recharges the earphones when I'm not using them. They're great! I also want to give a shoutout to the company. There were a couple of communications that came with my earphones that showed off a good personality. I like them and am glad that I own one of their products.

Don't bother with these
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have read numerous reviews praising these earbuds for their "superior sound" and comfort, however I cannot possibly imagine how someone could describe these as sounding good. The sound is completely lacking in clarity and detail, and there is no bass to speak of. Seriously do not bother with these, you will regret buying them if you do.

Great Fit/OK Sound/Poor BT Connectivity
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had just purchased the Jaybird X3s when I saw that these had come out. I loved the X3s so I figured I would give these a try as I prefer no wire on the headset. out of the box these fit perfectly and easy to pair with my android phone. However once in I realized the sound was not as good as the X3s (sounded a little more tinney and not as full). However not too bad, at first I thought they weren't loud enough but after synching with the jaybird app I was able to adjust the sound louder by configuring the R earpiece to adjust the volume. As a runner these are GREAT! I hardly feel them in my ear and they stay put!!! I liked them some much initially I returned the X3s as I was nearing my 10 day window for returns. After a few days with the Runs I realized that the L earpiece was constantly shutting down and synching again..for like a split second but every 1-3 minutes it seems. I thought it might be my audio streaming service/data connection (tried Amazon, Spotify and Google music) all did the same thing even with the phone less than 2 feet away from the R earpiece (frustrating)!!! So I even tried to use music that was downloaded into my phone. that seems to help but still synching with the L earpiece was an issue. The other thing is that when using these for a call only the R earpiece works! All in all for $179 this is not going to cut it and these will be returned ASAP. Maybe they can fix this with a software upgrade of some sort but kind of disappointing that this wasn't done prior to release! I will be going back to the X3s!

Posted .Dear EFPhoto,
Thank you for your purchase and review! We’re glad to hear that you’re a fan of the X3 and we’re amazed at the effort you went to in an attempt to solve your connection issues. It’s also a success for us when we hear about people having a good experience with the Jaybird App. However, we aim to provide you a seamless wireless experience in every way, and we’re sorry for failing you this time around. But we want to make it better before you give up on RUN. We’ve made steps to upgrade our firmware, which should improve your connection! As far as phone calls, you will be speaking and listening through the right bud only. The left bud’s microphone is filtering in ambient sound so you can hear your surroundings and yourself speaking. This means you don’t need to yell to hear yourself and lets you know if you need to relocate to a quieter area. For improved connectivity, please go to jaybirdsport.com/updates to update your firmware, and if that doesn’t help, reach out to us at [email protected]. We’ll do what we can to make sure you have the best experience possible.

The call audio is limited to the right earbud. When you accept a phone call, the left earbud will allow ambient sound in to assist with better hearing your own voice. This avoids the need to take the left earbud out during phone calls.
