We agree that bad sound is a deal breaker.
Had you used the Jaybird app to select your perfect sound? You can set this up on your Android or iOS device. The EQ you select will be saved to the buds and you can then take your perfect sound with you regardless of the device you are using.

They would fall out while running. And shut off randomly on long runs. I had to shake my head to turn back on. The sound was satisfactory.

Same as the regular Run, but waterproof
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.SHORT VERSION - Unless waterproof is important to you, don't waste your money, get the "regular" Jaybird Run instead. They're the exact same thing, according to the specs page. I've used these for about a week, and overall, these are good (not great) wireless earbuds. The waterproofing is the standout feature. Everything else about them is good, but basically the same as every other wireless headphone/earbud I've tried, hence they only get 4 stars from me. I'm also bummed that the charging case is micro-usb, not USB-C. Sound quality is ok and about equal to my pair of Bragi Dash Pro wireless earbuds, but with slightly more bass. Compared to the Jabra Elite 65e neckband headphones, these (obviously) don't sound as good. Battery life over the course of a week was about as advertised. I didn't test the charging case capacity. The one plus (compared to my Bragi Dash) is the earbuds fit nicely into the charging case so there's no uncertainty whether they're charging or not. Fit / Comfort - These fit me okay. The added wingtips help keep them stable in my ear, but I didn't really test them running. They're slightly larger than my Bragi Dash, so they started to hurt a bit after an hour, but I don't think I had the right size wingtip. You should definitely consider purchasing/ordering extra comply foam tips. My previous headphones had these and they wear out rather quickly and don't handle getting wet too well.

Please observe the buds to further isolate the issue, you can connect the buds to a different device or a device with a different OS. Resets are also recommended, I included both methods:
To soft reset your right earbud:
-Place your right earbud into the charge case and close the lid.
-Open the charge case and remove your earbud.
To hard reset your right earbud:
-Turn off your right earbud by pressing the right multifunction button for 3 seconds.
-With your right earbud off, press and hold the right multifunction button for 6 seconds until the LED flashes green.
-Double press the right multifunction button. The LED will flash orange and the earbud will turn off. Your earbud has now been reset.
-When you hard reset your earbuds, you will lose any saved presets and any saved devices on the paired list. You’ll need to forget Jaybird RUN in your phone's Bluetooth device list, repair your earbuds to your Bluetooth device, See How do I pair my Jaybird RUN earbuds? and reselect your favorite preset from the Jaybird app.
