So I got to try the original Jaybird Run. After some significant struggles, they finally worked for me. I really enjoyed them and they are my go to workout earbuds. The originals had some flaws but I thought they were a good start to the product line. They were true wireless buds. They were extremely comfortable. The sound quality was nothing especially amazing but they were great for true wireless buds. Some things that I thought could and would improve in the next iteration. They did have some connectivity problems. They sometimes cut out. The left would not connect with the right. The audio lag was annoying if you wanted to watch a video. The battery life was not spectacular but 3-4 hours was decent. When I got these, I was really excited. I had hoped that they had fixed the issues. Nope. The only difference that I can find is that these are more waterproofed and have different colors. Same design. Same sound. Same battery life. Same connectivity issues. Same audio lag. If you have the first generation Run, there really isn't any reason to upgrade. In fact, given the price drop of the first gen, that's probably a better buy given the lack of new features.

So the earbuds are quite nice. The sound on them is very good, better than I anticipated. They're not without fault though. Audio wise they're perfect. These will be great for any user who loves lot's of bass in their music. They do pretty good on the highs too. The Mids seemed fine to me with a wide range of music. There is an app that does allow you to alter the EQ which is a big plus in my book. I've had several different models of earbuds and app's are not always available, or sometimes the app itself lacks audio customization. The biggest issue I found with these was the earpieces. I tried each of the sizes and I just could not find a comfortable set, nor did they help to keep the earbuds in my ear's. Now your mileage may vary and these could fit your ears and usage perfectly, but for me I do not have any faith that during any movement based activity that they will remain in my ears. Aside from that one issue the earbuds are great. I like the charging case and I like that there's a voice prompt when you open the case so you know they're ready to be paired or that they are on. The case itself works like several other wireless earbud cases where it has an internal battery and can charge them to give you some more listening time before they run dry. I didn't test the maximum life of these but I would venture to say around 50% volume you can get around 3 hours, maybe more. With the case charge included I'd say 10 or so hours. If you're looking for a great sound pair of earbuds, give these a shot. As I said though, the earpiece's are hit or miss so these may be a strike out for you.
