After 2 failed powerbeats 3, I bought these exclusively for runs and workouts. They are the best headphones for workouts. They stay in my ear and don't fall off even when I'm sweating like crazy. The sound is great too, you can adjust with the app to your liking.

For running, cycling and spinning, I've used almost all Jaybird "running" headphones since 2001. I usually wear them down or kill them with sweat. I even tried the Run XT but none of the earfins fit me, so they were falling off my ears. So I returned them and tried the Tarah Pro. So far they're the best earphones I've had.

These Jaybird Tarah Pro earbuds are everything I expect from sports earbuds. They are comfortable and sit firmly in my ears. No amount of physical movement caused these to come loose. To me that is the number one test of good earbuds. Secondly, the sound is fantastic for Bluetooth. The Jaybird app also has EQ settings to help tailor the sound to your preferences. The earbuds charge quickly. If you charge them for just five minutes you can get nearly two hours of use. Just enough for an average workout. I also used these for several phone calls and most people could not tell I that was using a headset. This is also a big deal because I use my earbuds all day for a lot more than just exercising. These earbuds are very light and have a magnetic lock feature when not in use. This is a big deal to me since I lost my old pair of Jaybirds when the slipped off my neck. They are very well made and perfect for fitness or everyday use. They are not as flashy as some other big name earbuds and don’t expect the sound quality of a set of high end headphones, but for everyday use and exercise, you can’t do better than the Tarah Pros.

As far as the sound is there is not much of a difference between this and the X3 or Tara. But what makes this better is the cord. It doesn't stick to your neck when you sweat because the cord is braided in material and not rubber. I like the one piece ear bud and how it rotates instead of having to switch the ear fittings.

Bought these as an upgrade a few years ago and the wife enjoys the Jaybird line. I will say occasionally they will drop from her iphone but after resyncing it doesn't happen often. The microphone is great too if she is out on a run and I need to get in touch with her.

    SOLID SOUND, GREAT SOFTWARE

I have these a few weeks now and they have a very solid and sturdy feel to them. The tangle free cord is very nice and frustration free whenever digging the headphones out of the pouch. The earbuds themselves are very comfortable, I didnt experience fatigue wearing them for about 2 hours. The sport over ear way of wearing them allows for sound to bleed in which is very much needed when jogging in the city. The under ear way of wearing them and rotating the earbud gives you a very solid seal and does an amazing job of blocking out the outside noises. The sound is very rich and and the volumes attained are very loud. The software and the custom/preset equalizer options are very nice...the software is very easy to navigate. The magnetic option to secure these headphones is a very neat trick and im sure will make these hard to lose. I do wish the cable was a bit longer because when the magnetic earbuds is a neat trick but the cord length makes it feel like you are wearing a snug collar...not too comfortable. The inline control is a little awkwardly placed. I wish it was further down the cord as when in sport mode they are not the easiest to reach when running and fumbling around for the controls is a bit distracting. The bluetooth connection was very simple to setup and the clarity and distance from the source are more than adequate for any gym workout session. I was about 20-25 feet away from the bluetooth source and the headphones did not lose any signal, of course it was an open space without any walls. Overall I definitely recommend these earbuds as the design, sound and software make this a must for those that want high end sport sounds.

I had a pair of jaybirds before i bought this set. The fit is a little odd (yes i used the smallest size they had) and didnt fit right. When in use i heard a lot of outside noise and wasnt not impressed. I really liked the magnetic in the ear pieces when not in use. Hopefully other companies pick this up. I returned these and purchased sony. Also the app will not work with iphone/ipod older than ISO 9, which mine unfortunately is.

This is my third set of Jaybird headphones, and they are the best yet. The sound quality is excellent, they are light, comfortable, and the battery life is amazing. Here's my takeaway in the form of a pro/con list: Pros: - Excellent battery life. Jaybird claims 14 hrs, although I've not used them that long yet. - Fast charge. Ten minutes, and they'll last to mow the lawn. - Great sound. Kind of a given for Jaybird. - Waterproof/sweatproof. Shouldn't they all be? - Durable construction. The braided cables should last for a very long time. - Nicely thought out neck cinch and magnetic earpieces for easy storage around the neck when not in use and a secure fit when listening. Cons: - I've had a hard time finding just the right fit for comfort with the included tips and wedges, but I'm not knocking them for this, because I have a hard time finding a comfortable fit with any in-ear headphone, so I think it may just be the shape of my ears. Bottom line...buy them. You'll love them. I do.

Stay in place while running. Only downside is how hard you have to press on the button to get it to turn on.

Not too useful if they don't play music

I bought these because they are supposed to be good for wearing while doing exercise, but in my experience they certainly are not worth the hype. I have two problems with them; one I can live with and another that makes me want to toss them in the trash. First, the left earpiece is louder than the right. It's not just a matter of different stereo sound coming out of them, the volume is different. If I wiggle them around in the ears and I can get it close enough that it doesn't bother me. The second problem is a deal breaker. They won't stay connected to my music device. I average about four minutes before they cut out and have to be connected again and again and again and.... Wireless headphones aren't very useful if they don't, you know, connect wirelessly and actually play sound.

I have used a variety of headphones and most wireless have trouble staying in my ear when running or riding a bike. I have had several j bird (x3, x4, run all recently) and bose as well as others. These are by far the best for me in terms of fit and staying in with movement activities.
