Just Average
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Jaybird Tarah Pro represents a pretty average entry into the wireless sport headphone arena. They seem well-built and are lightweight with a good ear fit (for me at least). Battery life seems good, but my first gripe is the custom magnetic charger. This means that you MUST have it to charge them as there is no generic alternative. Next the connecting cable between the two earpieces is too short and noisy. The cable resonates a fair amount of noise which is a bummer if you are moving around a lot.... which I thought was the point. Last, but most importantly, the sound itself is just OK. I was able to get a secure, sealed fit and yet bass was almost non-existent. I fiddled in the app to adjust the EQ for more bottom end, but that didn't really help. Overall, it would be tough for me to justify purchasing these headphones at the list price. There is just too much competition in the space at this price range to not consider the alternatives first.

Great Headphones for an Active Lifestyle
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Jaybird Tarah Pro wireless headphones were a pleasant surprise as far as performance and sound quality go. Wireless headphones--especially those meant designed more for sport/active use--are typically focused more on design than sound quality. While these aren't going to give you the same quality as an over the ear premium set of headphones will, they will give you excellent high quality sound in all the ranges. DESIGN - The Jaybird Tarah Pros are nicely designed and will stay with you during your workout, run, or hike down the trail. They come with three silicone tip and ear wing design. One small criticism is that the tips and ear wings are connected so you can't match a larger tip with a smaller wing. I was able to find a good fit with the tip but not so much with the wing. Thankfully, the tip was secure enough to keep it in place with a little help from the wing so I didn't necessarily need a perfect fit from the wing. As most users of earbuds will know, the sound quality depends A LOT on the fit of the earbud so it's important to find one that can seal off your entire ear canal. The wired connector can be worn tight or a little looser over or under the ear so that does provide some versatility. When you're done, they come with a small carrying pouch which is helpful to keep everything together--including the charging cradle. The charging cradle is unique to this model so it's important that you keep up with the cradle or you'll be shelling out for a new one from Jaybird. That is a disappointing feature since I really like being able to charge my electronics using interchangeable cables. PERFORMANCE/SOUNDS - This set of headphones provides a nice surprise in both battery time (14 hours!) which is plenty to get you through many workouts or activities. I know I like to use my headphones at work and these will definitely get you through a couple of solid days in the office. What's even better is that they automatically shut off after about 15 minutes of non-use. So it's actually perfect for the office. If you get caught on a phone call or called into a meeting, your headphones will shut off to save the battery until you are able to use them again. As far as sound quality go, these are very impressive for a mid-range (price) sport headphone. The app Jaybird designed is actually quite functional and allows you to adjust the EQ to your liking as well as save different sound profiles. The sound is full and enveloping (as long as you have a good tight fit in the ear) and will help get you in the mood for a workout or stay focused while working on that project in the office. In conclusion, I would highly recommend the Jaybird Tarah Pro's to anyone looking for a high quality set of headphones to use during the workout or really any other occasion. They'd be a great set of compact, yet quality and long lasting travel headphones as well. The 14 hours of battery life ensure that you can go the distance on the trail, treadmill, or in the air. Pros: -Design -Sound quality -Battery life -Price Cons: -Charging cradle

Decent Sound
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I've been testing out the Jaybird Tarah Pro Wireless Sport Headphones over the last week or so and these little headphones. Upon opening the box you are greeted with the headphones front and center. Underneath the bottom left corner flap is the accessories included in the package. The headphones comes with extra ear gels, a proprietary charger, a clip to secure the headphones to your shirt, and a nice little pouch to carry the charger and extra ear gels in. The package also comes with the usual user documentation. Connecting the headphones via Bluetooth is pretty self explanatory. Upon connecting the headphones to my iPhone via Bluetooth I was pretty amazed at the sound quality that was coming out. The sounds quality was clear and crisp. You can also download the companion Jaybird app from the App Store on iPhone or Google Play store on Android. The included shirt clip is nice to have to keep the headphones in place. There is also a cinch piece to keep them nice and tight in place. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice set of headphones.

Another Awesome Product from Jaybird!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Jaybird’s headphones have always served me well, The Tarah Pro is no different as this is my second pair of Jaybird’s as I have the Jaybird run, which I love their performance as well as features. The sound is amazing as I don’t experience any breakups, cracking, to the contrary I receive clear and concise audio performance. The feel of these headphones is amazingly comfortable and lightweight as I minimally feel them within ears while walking. I have only used these headphones for a week; however, the battery life is amazing as I’ve only had to do one charge for my daily morning walks.

Disappointed
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these after my Bose headphones turned up missing or lost. Thought I would try something new. Sorry I did. They lose Bluetooth connection constantly. This happens if I’m connected to my iPhone, laptop or home stereo. App for iPhone leaves a lot to be desired. Scared to death I’ll loose charger adapter It would be nice just to plug a cord in to them. Would not recommend this product. Tried product for awhile but I went back to Bose.

Nice quality with lacking sound
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first impressions of the Jaybird Tarah Pro wireless earbuds were great. The product was nicely packaged, the build quality was good, and it even comes packed with different size ear tips as well as a carrying case. The magnetic charger is also a very nice touch, and is very easy to connect. The earbuds are very easy to connect to your Bluetooth device, it’s just a matter of pairing them with the press of a button. Once connected, I tried to find the right fit for my ears. I have a little larger ear canals, so I tried on the bigger size tips and they fit very comfortably. A nice little feature they added, was the switch fit. This lets you twist the earbud, so you can either wear the cord around the back of your neck, or over the top of your ears around the back of your head. Once you found the desired position, their is a nice little secure clip to tighten the cord for a nice secure fit. My personal favorite feature of these buds, is the Jaybird app. This app is amazing, it really shows that the developers took a lot of time into making this high quality app. Through this app, you can name your earbuds, watch how-to videos, discover pre made EQ settings, or create your own custom EQ settings, as well as create your own/ use a pre made playlist. They also have a feature to find your earbuds, in case they get miss placed or lost. Needless to say, the app works flawlessly and really compliments the earbuds. The major drawback to the earbuds, is the sound quality, or lack there of. I spent a while with the app’s EQ setting trying to create the best sound possible, but I just couldn’t. I found the sound to be very muddy or very high pitch, never a happy medium. And when I finally made a desirable one, the quality of the sound just fell flat. I tried many different genres of music, as well as different types of file formats and all gave the same poor results. This was very disappointing, because I really wanted to like these earbuds. After all is said and done, Jaybird did an amazing job with the design of the earbuds and an even better job with the app and features. Unfortunately when it comes to sound quality, it just wasn’t there for me. Even with numerous combinations of EQ settings, I was never able to find the sound to be that great. That’s not to say that I wouldn’t recommend these to anyone...I would definitely recommend these earbuds to anyone who has never owned a pair of earbuds in the past. On the other hand, someone with a lot of past use with high end earbuds - I would say there are better options out there in terms of sound.

Could go strong for two weeks!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't do cardio but I do lift. Workouts range from 70-90 min 4 days a week. The Jaybird Tarah Pro is made to outlast me! A whole week and I'm still at just over 50%. Normally you'd have to get the necklace style buds to get this kind of life. Somehow Jaybird has managed to get in with the lighter single cord version. Audio quality is superb. Deep bass, clear highs and mids with no muddy sound even at full volume (downside of all BT headsets I've used is that full volume is about 50-60% of wired headphones). One thing about IEM's is that you have to get the right fit to get the best sound. The too big, too small, too loose, too deep, can all affect the quality. So experiment on the tips if it doesn't sound clean. The Jaybird app is what you'll need to get the best sound out of you new buds. There's a personal EQ option that tests your range of hearing and intelligently comes up with an EQ it thinks you'll enjoy. For me, the results were perfect. You can sign up and sync your settings to all paired devices. One thing that's kinda a con is that it uses a proprietary charger. We're just starting to get all our devices using either mUSB or USB C. So tossing this is kinda kills the groove. But it seems the charger may have advantages. One is that it keeps the size slim for the control unit. Second is that it doesn't create a cavity for dirt and sweat to enter. So plus or minus is a toss up. The Tarah Pro come with a feature that lazy folk might not like. If you're there's no movement in 15 minutes the device powers off. I didn't test this feature because standing still for 15 minutes is torture! So how sensitive it is I won't know until I spend a lazy night at my parents house and stream a movie. I didn't see an option to turn off or tweak the feature. These Tarah Pro have become my favorite IEMs for working out. The cord hasn't gotten in my way and the buds are deep enough to stay out of the way on excercises that come close to my head, Add the two week battery life and you've got a killer workout partner. This is a must have for any active person.

Posted .Hello BP83,
We are sorry to hear that the Jaybird Tarah did not meet your expectations with regard to volume and we'll be glad to help you out! Just send us an email at [email protected] and we will get you taken care of.
The volume limit of your buds depend on the app and device that you're using. Please note that in some phones/devices, there is a limit for the max volume you can listen to as a safety feature.
In some cases, the volume on the device is independent to the volume on the buds.

Please follow the recommendations below to resolve the issue with your headset:
-Move your earbuds and your Bluetooth audio device closer as you may be experiencing Bluetooth interference. While the range of most Bluetooth devices is 10 meters (33 feet), the optimal range for any Bluetooth stereo device is about 60 centimeters (2 feet) from the audio source.
-Your earbuds Bluetooth antenna is located in the inline remote. Try moving your audio device closer to the side where the inline remote is located. For example, you can try moving your audio device to your right pocket instead of your left.
-Reset your Bluetooth connection by turning your device's Bluetooth off for one minute and then back on.
-Turn your audio device off and then back on.
-Complete a reset of your earbuds.

Amazing
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones are amazing, they held up during a rain run, and the whole 13 hours I kept them on just to see. The app that comes with them to tune them is just as cool that's the headphones themselves. they tend to your ears and your octave so these are actually perfect for an audiophile. You don't need to spend hundreds of dollars for perfect sound just under that.

Waste of money
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones are garbage. Worst $200 I have ever spent. The battery drains when they are not in use, so you need to charge them EVERY time you use them. Now, they won't charge at all. I've always charged them connected to a computer USB port as Jaybird suggests. DO NOT BUY THESE HEADPHONES. They didn't even last me a year; I've hardly used them.

X4 on Steroids well worth the extra price
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Jaybird X4 were one of my favorite go to headphones from this year. They were almost perfect with the shortcomings being more of a minor incovenience for example the proprietary charging cable. The Tarah Pro still uses a proprietary charging cable but somehow Jaybird has a found way to double the battery life to 14hrs. Jaybird has made enough improvements that warrants the extra price over the already excellent X4 headphones. *Sound quaility is still good with all genres of music. The added eq options is still my favorite since Android still does not have a system wide eq option like IOS does. It's a very good well balanced sound were the bass does not over power the vocals. * In addition to the eq options available through the Jaybird app you also get access to a personalized audio profile set up by a 2min test similiar to a hearing test. *Battery life is now up to 14hrs over the 8hrs from the previous headphones. * The cord is now made from a braided material that feels much more durable and stronger. * The earbuds now have a magnetic lock feature that pauses music to help preserve battery life. Overall I believe the Tarah Pro is a much more complete package when it comes to features compared to similiar earbuds in this category. They sound good, battery life is strong at 14hrs and a quick charge feature that only takes 5 mins for 2 hrs of playback or 30 mins for 8 hrs of playback. IPX7 rating means if you get caught on a downpour or doing an intense workout the earbuds will survive. The only con is still the proprietary charging caddle that you will need to carry around if you want to charge them. In my opinion they are worth the extra price of admission over the X4.
